Description
He didn't ask for wings. He definitely didn't ask to be the world's last hope.
Earth’s cities are burning.
Emile, a college student living far from the chaos, has no idea what lies dormant in his DNA. Stranded in the Scandinavian wilderness, he transforms.
Feathers.
Wings.
The crest of a seabird.
He’s still Emile, but he’s no longer entirely human.
Fledglings are drawn to him. Frightened, hunted, and in need of a home, they look to Emile for guidance.
As the fires creep closer, can Emile save his found family and maybe even the world?
Part sci-fi, part romantasy, and soaked in magical realism, this high-stakes series begins here. Continue Emile’s journey through Books Two and Three, straight into the Battle for Earth.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an advance copy of Yonis. Book One: The Madness.
Yonis. Book One: The Madness immediately caught my attention with its promise of fantasy, romance, and a larger story just beginning to unfold.
As the first book in a series, it has the opportunity to establish a world and characters that can develop across multiple books, and I always enjoy that feeling of stepping into a story where there is clearly much more waiting beneath the surface.
The combination of New Adult fantasy and romance makes this particularly appealing, and the title itself promises something darker and more mysterious than a straightforward romantic fantasy. There is a sense that the characters are being pulled into circumstances far beyond what they initially expect, which is exactly the sort of setup that makes me want to keep reading.
A promising beginning for readers looking for a new fantasy-romance series with mystery, emotional stakes, and plenty of room for the story to grow.
