A Note From the Publisher

Shelley Moore has worked in both elementary and secondary schools supporting students with and without special needs in inclusive contexts in Alberta, New York, and British Columbia. She is currently an inclusive consultant in the Richmond School District, as well as various other districts and community organizations throughout the province, supporting systems, frameworks and collaborative teacher professional development that create access to education for every learner. She has presented at numerous conferences both nationally and internationally, and has developed and offered sessional courses as an instructor at Simon Fraser University, University of British Columbia and University Of British Columbia – Okanagan.

Shelley has attended the University of Alberta, Simon Fraser University and is currently a SSHRC funded PhD student at the University of British Columbia. Her research focus is on the interactions of inclusive education, curriculum and teacher professional development specifically in secondary settings. She aims to capture how students with developmental disabilities contribute and interact in curricular learning environments with their peers.
