Lachlan and Isabella are my absolute favorite Syndicate couple. They find themselves in each other’s lives and using each other to escape hell. But what they don’t expect is to fall hard so quickly and for all of the twists and turns that ensue. Honestly, I can’t even give much of a summary of the story itself because you have to read it for yourself!! It’s truly that good. I had moments of “OMG, what?!” and the steamy scenes were certainly steamy. I loved the unlikely relationship that was formed and the desire each have for each other… Isabella’s life is turned upside down and Lachlan shows her what love is, and gives her what she deserves in life- everything. Did I mention the steaminess?
I can’t wait for the fourth book!

Oh my goodness!! This book is definitely my top favorite in the Sin Syndicate! I don’t know how but Lachlan is my favorite! The way that this story starts and unfolds is amazing. Instead of she’s the one getting captured is him! And the secrets and lies that are uncovered… I was so shocked and not guessing at all!! I love that! I was on the edge of my seat and didn’t want to put it town. I loved seeing all of our favorites Nikolai and Lucian and their women! After that ending and sneak peek on what’s to come… I am patiently waiting for book 4!!

Evie does it again! Just when you believe nothing can better than the previous story she goes and writes a new one and I am obsessed! Completely and utterly obsessed!

The plot twist really gets you in a “OMG” moment and you are seriously picking your jaw up off the floor!! It made me even more invested in this story!

I absolutely adore Lachlan and Isabella together. They really are so good together. Reading the journey they took together felt like completely watching two people evolve and over come unimaginable things. The relationship dynamic between these two is so special and they understand each other in a way no one else ever can and it’s perfection!

I am dying to see what’s next for the Syndicate men and these amazing ladies!!! Thank you Evie for this excellent read!!!

Exceptional story. This was the book I didn't know I needed till I read it. One of my favorites in the Sin Syndicate series. Lachlan and Isabella's story steal the show in this. They were chef's kiss. And the plot was spot on. This definitely took everything up a notch from the previous stories in this series. Addictive dark romance that'll have you hanging on by every word until the very end. So many twists and turns with plenty of action and an ending you won't see coming. I couldn't get enough of this incredible book. An absolute must read.

oh my god evie what on earth did you put in this book?!?

my jaw dropped all the way to the floor some chapters and especially on chapter 8 (not explaining why, you’re gonna have to read to find out why😉). that was just the first chapter that had me reacting like crazy but definitely not the last one.

god there is so much to say about this book and this review could be like 10+ scrolls long on every little thing that i loved about this book like getting lachlan’s inner thoughs (i am in love with him😅), the dialogue and writing, the mafia and story of the book in general and so so so much more.

i wished more than anything i could have finished this book in one sitting because when i wasn’t reading, i was constantly thinking about it and about what was going to happen next.

and now i am going to be very much impatiently waiting for the next book in the sin syndicate series

The mafia queen does it again! The way she writes mafia romance just WORKS. It’s dark and intense without feeling over the top, and everything flows so naturally that chapter after chapter pulls you in until suddenly you’re at the end craving more.


Eyes Never Lie delivered everything. From the danger, secrets, captivity, revenge, and high stakes underworld drama kept me completely immersed in the book. And Lachlan? That man is the perfect combination of protective, morally gray, foul mouthed, and fiercely loyal. His persistence and obsession with Isabella fit him so perfectly, and I was here for every bit of his touch her & d!e energy.


Isabella’s journey was one of my favorite parts of the story. After spending her life surviving by being quiet, obedient, and invisible, watching her find her strength & start fighting for the freedom she deserved was so satisfying. I loved watching that side of her come to life.


I also really enjoyed the character development between Isabella and Lachlan. Their relationship felt messy, intense, and natural, especially as trust slowly developed between them despite all the secrets and lies standing in their way.


The twists, suspense, brutal revenge, and devotion kept me turning pages, and by the end, I was absolutely not ready to leave their world, AGAIN.


Truly another incredible addition to the Sin Syndicate series, and I cannot wait to see what Evie James has in store for us next! 🖤🔥

Eyes on You is the first book I’ve read by Evie James, and it definitely won’t be the last! From the very first page, I was hooked and couldn’t put it down.

I absolutely devoured this book, and I don't think I'll ever be over it.

Book 3 in the Sin Syndicate series follows Lachlan, Lucian's brother from Eyes of the Unholy. This Irish man is exactly the kind of man who ruins you. Angry, no filter, won't bend for anyone. Protects and respects women. Isabella, our baby girl. She's sharper and tougher than anyone gave her credit for, and the story keeps proving it. What got me is that she wanted choices, and Lachlan was the first person who ever gave them to her.

The tension is there from the very first page. Every scene where neither of them will admit what's happening. And the plot twists? Oh man, oh man. They had me in a chokehold. That ending flattened me and made me rethink the whole book.

This book had me clenching my jaw, forgetting to breathe, tearing up, wanting to throw my Kindle, and then grinning like an idiot while reading even in public. It delivers on love, loss, and the kind of protection that actually feels safe, which almost nothing else pulls off.

Another good book written by Evie James! The pacing was good, along with the dialogue. I love Lachlan’s inner thoughts. Isabella is such an intelligent woman who survived her circumstances.

Evie James really said, “Let me raise the bar,” and then proceeded to absolutely destroy it.

This book started with a BANG, and Chapter 8?! OMG. IYKYK. I was genuinely sitting there like… ARE WE REALLY DOING THIS?!

The twists were SO good, the pacing was perfection, the suspense kept me hooked, and the slow-burn love story between Lachlan and Isabella had me completely swooning. And the spice? The spice was SPICING.

I was already a huge fan of Lachlan from the previous books, but this book gave me EVERYTHING I wanted from him. The possessiveness. The protective rage. The burn the entire world down for her energy. He was completely obsessed with Isabella, and honestly? I was right there with him.

And Isabella! I absolutely loved her. She’s softer and less feisty than some of the previous FMCs, but that honestly made me love her even more. She quickly became one of my favorites. And the sisterhood between Isabella, Scarlett, and Lacey?! My heart. Their bond was one of my favorite parts of the story.

Between the twists, tension, suspense, romance, morally gray mafia energy, and a MMC who would quite literally set the world on fire for his woman… this book had me completely hooked.

Evie has officially made me wonder: HOW are you possibly going to top this one?!

But if there’s one thing I know, it’s that she absolutely will.

Eyes Never Lie is easily one of my favorite Evie James books yet, and Lachlan has officially cemented his place in my favorite MMCs.

Evie threw her whole heart into this final book of the Sin Syndicate series and I think this one is truly my favorite out of all of them.


This was such a special reclaiming moment for not only readers needing that push but for Isabella and Lachlan absolutely cleared her path of any danger and doubt. He saw not a broken woman, but one that never had a choice in her life and he will die giving her every choice she could ever want. It truly made my heart swell watching her blossom and become free of the shackles from a life that was never supposed to be hers - yet she still came out good, kind. Watching them both tease and banter back and forth during uncertainty and pain was a profound moment for this story and a lesson for anyone who finds themselves in darkness. The strongest bonds are the ones we build, not inherit. True strength is found in the loyalties we choose for ourselves and that is what these stories really capture - our choices make us powerful and who we choose to be a part of that is the true meaning of blood, family. This story was just absolutely beautiful and I will be crying for days to come.

Eyes Never Lie was wild! Lachlan, despite being a morally gray mafia man and part of the Syndicate, will always protect a damsel in distress, even if he is unsure whether she is innocent or not. Well, that need to protect women got him in a bit of a pickle, chained in a dungeon and being tormented daily, wondering how long it will take his Syndicate brothers to find him and if they will get there in time.

Isabella has had her own experience with trauma and captivity, and the relationship that builds between them is special. Lachlan is able to put aside his own wants and needs to allow her the ability to make her own choices and have the freedom that she has been denied her entire life. The two of them share banter, vulnerability, and plenty of spice as things evolve. Love the "found family" dynamics in this series, and I love the ongoing drama that moves through each book. Can't wait for the next one, to see what happens next, and how Gabriel reacts to some shocking news of his own!

Evie is the best at crafting a mafia world where the men are morally gray but have a heart of gold as well, obsessed and protective of the women they love, and I think this one was the best one yet!

And Isabella?? She isn’t just surviving ,she’s brave, clever, and refuses to helpless . I loved watching her stand her ground.

The romance feels so natural because it grows through trust, not just chaos. Every chapter pulled me deeper, and every twist had me staring at my screen like “EXCUSE ME?!”

I LOVED Lachlan. This man is an absolute softie that does what he says he is going to do. The way he loved Isabella and gave her the space she needed to make her own decisions was absolutely everything. This man was so head over heels in love with her!

Isabella has been through so much and still was a strong and feisty woman. Watching her navigate what her life now looks like that she has all the power to make her own decisions was done so well. Getting to see her develop friendships with Lacey and Scarlett was so much fun!

The chemistry between these two was off the charts. The spice in this book was hot and not too much that it overpowered the plot.

Anything Evie James writes I will read! Looking forward to the next installment in the Sin Syndicate series!

Lachlan & Isabella

Getting snippets of Lachlan throughout the series and to finally get to read his story has been amazing. Each book gets better than the last, you get more of the Syndicate family and who else gets taken down.
Isabella is a tough cookie especially after what she’s endured the psychological horror for the past ten years. She still has a good heart despite it all.
Lachlan the serious brother makes the wrong move but good outcome 🤷🏻‍♀️
I loved their story and can’t wait till the next book releases because that little snippet like ahhh whatt I need it!

oh wow!! I could not put this book down. This was an excellent Mafia book and had everything in it that I love. This is a slow burn, forced proximity, romantic suspense story. Lachlan will win you over with how he has such a soft heart for his girl outside of being the boss. Isabella is exactly what he needs, strong & mischievous. These two have been through so muc and I don't think anyone will ever truly understand all that they have been through. The chemistry between these two is something else. I can not wait for the next book!

I love them so much, everything they've been through makes everything they find so much sweeter.

This series is absolutely on fire. This is the third installment in the Sin Syndicate. I am already waiting for the next one. If you love Dark Romance, this is for you. I could not put down!

If you thought the first two books in the Sin Syndicate series were intense, Lachlan and Isabella’s story takes the dark mafia and romantic suspense genre to an entirely new, visceral level. This is a brutal, gritty, and fiercely emotional masterpiece that I could not put down.

From the very first chapter, the stakes are sky-high. Lachlan is the ultimate morally gray Irish enforcer—hardened, fierce, and seemingly unbreakable. But when he is captured and thrown into a literal cage in an El Salvador cartel compound, we see a completely different side of him. Enter Isabella. She is not your typical mafia heroine. For 25 years, she has survived by being a ghost, weaponizing her obedience, and hiding a massive secret. She is calculating, desperate, and willing to use Lachlan as collateral damage if it means securing her freedom.

The dynamic and connection between these two is tense and raw. It starts as an incredibly tense enemies-to-allies-to-lovers setup born strictly out of trauma bonding and survival. Wow. Evie. Just wow! I cannot get enough of the men in the Sin Syndicate, and I think Lachlan has just become my favourite 😮‍💨

Eyes Never Lie has everything you could want in a mafia romance - danger, tension, suspense, steam & spice hot enough to melt even the most frigid hearts, twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat, and a protective, dangerous and morally grey mmc. But you also get the loyalty, brotherhood, found family and beautiful friendships that Evie has crafted so well throughout the whole series that makes this book and the series so far one that fully pulls you in and makes you feel like your part of the story.

We first met Lachlan in Eyes on You and then get a bit from him in Eyes of the Unholy, just enough to whet your appetite to find out more about the enforcer with a sense of humour. Getting to know him you find out there’s so much more to him that you initially realise, but he shares one thing with the other men of the syndicate we’ve met so far, and that is despite all his questionable criminal proclivities at his core he is has a strong moral code and stands up for what he believes, and protecting women and children from the monsters of the world is where he draws that line firmly and defends it fiercely. When he falls for Isabella, he falls hard, but allows her the space she needs to work out and process everything that happens and how she feels. Above all else, he puts Isabella’s needs and wants above his own, and is fiercely protective of her independence and choices. Which just made me fall harder for him!

Isabella is a very interesting character and there is so much more to her than meets the eye, but to find that out you’re going to have to read the book!

Again, as with each book in the series it’s so much more than a typical steamy mafia romance. There’s an overarching plot involving political corruption, human trafficking and money laundering, spanning countries and people ranging from royalty, presidents and wealthy individuals, and vigilante justice spearheaded by the syndicate. Each book tackles the syndicate dealing with a different aspect of that criminal organisation. It really gives grit to the storyline and makes it so much more than the typical romance story.

At the heart of the gritty, dangerous and heavy storyline is another beautiful love story, that grips you and leaves you wanting more from the world they live in.

This book does cover some heavy and dark themes so make sure you check the trigger warnings at the start of the book and take care of your mental health.

This book delivers a good mafia romance story, with vigilante justice, morally grey men, emotional growth, character development arcs that are earned and a strong gritty plot that grabs you from the start.
