With spot gloss finishes, French flaps, and other aesthetics of a production-standard premium book cover, this discovery format was developed with John J. Hill (designer for the DC Compact Comics line).
The Lab Press will release a set of three titles in this format each fall. Lab Portable Editions: Wave One includes acclaimed backlist titles such as the award-winning Essentials Vol. 1, Super Science Vol. 1, and Creatures & Corridors.
Wave Two will release in the fall of 2027 with three additional backlist titles.
