He logged in to escape reality. Someone made sure he couldn’t log out.

A veteran MMORPG player is abducted straight from his gaming capsule and wakes to discover that he isn’t the only one. Somewhere in a remote hangar, a madman is holding several players captive. He claims the only way out is to beat the game he created.

There’s just one problem.

His class isn’t warrior. It isn’t mage.

The game drops him into a brutally realistic Viking settlement, where progress is painfully slow and nobody seems interested in explaining the rules. Dying in-game feels exactly like dying for real. For a man already struggling with panic attacks after a devastating loss, that may be more than his body can take.

Fortunately, he has one survival skill his captor may not have planned for: when everything goes to hell, he makes a joke and keeps moving.

Now he has to figure out how this world works, what his class is actually good for and, most importantly, how to get out.
