Stripped of her name and robbed of her memories, Crimson has found herself in an alien world. Infected and transformed by a magical essence known as Hue, she must learn to wield the power it grants, or be consumed by it. Living in Prizma, a multicolored city obsessed with excellence, she attempts to navigate the mysteries of her new environment and herself. She joins EyeGem, a company specializing in using Hue (and force) to solve Prizma’s ‘undesirable’ problems. Integrating into EyeGem is a must, both to thwart the rival city-states competing to erode Prizma’s success and because life in this new world is anything but free. While Crimson assimilates into new routines and climbs the ranks at EyeGem, she starts to learn that the people she’s met might not have her best interests at heart, and EyeGem has its own truths it wishes to conceal.

Crimson Copper Bluebird aims to capture readers interested in hard magic systems, absurd humor, and taut action sequences. It is a great starting point for readers dipping their toes into fantasy while also appealing to longtime fans looking for an entertaining adventure.
