A missing woman. A sister who won’t stop looking.

Don't worry about me. I'm fine. I just needed to get away.

That’s the text Mary Harper receives while she waits in a café to celebrate her younger sister's birthday. But Lucy never appears. Not then, not any day after.

The police believe Lucy planned to disappear. Her husband learns to move on. Eventually, everyone accepts Lucy chose to leave her life - and her children - behind.

Everyone except Mary. She’s certain something terrible has happened to her sister.

Seven years later, as Lucy's husband prepares to have her declared legally dead, Mary makes one last desperate attempt to find out what really happened to her sister. But every answer exposes another lie. A hidden phone. A secret affair. A marriage built on fear. Everyone close to Lucy was hiding something.

But the more Mary uncovers, the less she knows who to trust.

Someone has spent seven years hiding the truth. And they'll do anything to make sure Mary never finds it.

The Day She Disappeared - the chilling psychological thriller, perfect for fans of Lisa Jewell, Shari Lapena and John Marrs.
