The Picture of Dorian Gray meets American Psycho.

Twenty-seven-year-old Finn Buckley is hungry for artistic success. He’s broke, surrounded by so-called friends who remind him of his mediocrity, and failing at his backup plan to illustrate children’s books. The last thing he wants is to return to bartending and dating sad divorcées for a decent meal. He thinks he deserves better. No, he knows he deserves better.

Some greater force must agree with him because Finn stumbles upon a box of ancient, supernatural pigments used by the old masters like Vermeer and Caravaggio. They gift him with extraordinary talent. They make him hallucinate, showing him visions of what to paint and where to place each stroke. In that altered state, he is haunted by a beautiful woman and captures her likeness in his own masterpiece. After a week of obsessive painting, he runs into this woman at an art show. His muse, in the flesh.

Lucky for him, Finn’s muse, Remi, is an art broker. She helps him sell his first painting and introduces him to the right people. As his life becomes romantically entangled with hers, it spirals up. He paints another masterpiece. And then another. He makes more money, goes viral, and gets recognized on the street. A richer life is at his fingertips.

Everything seems well…at first. Great art comes at a great price. Finn has unknowingly made a deal with the Devil. The pigments have their own agenda. And if he’s not careful, they may lead him down a path of no return, risking not only his newfound fame and fortune but his very soul.
