With Crown, the Holberg Intelligence Office and the Federal service turning on one another, every decision becomes political and every mistake threatens to fracture an already uneasy alliance. Eve must discover how Directorate S reached a man who should have been secure, while suspicion spreads through the very services meant to protect him.

The agencies want to blame Eve.

Eve has other ideas.
