Description
In just a few short days Loriel has major concerns about her new job. First thought to be a dream career, she realizes the job she had so anticipated has placed a target on her back, and she will be lucky to come out unscathed. Without the help of Givanni, her boss's nephew and the CEO at Shellbrook, her fate would have been sealed a few times over. But his world, though frightening, brings with it breathtaking sights, adoring family, and stronger feelings than Loriel wants to admit. And although making it out alive had seemed impossible, it becomes desperately more important to make it out together.

A fast paced, suspenseful novel with lots of action and intrigue. A little lean on Van's feelings and motivation but overall good character developement.

Love this book. Twists, turns, is he good or bad? Will she make it, will they fall in love? All kinds of questions to keep you guessing and on your toes.

I received a free electronic copy of this mystery novel from Goodreads, D. L. Robinson, and Black Rose Writing in exchange for an honest review. Thank you all, for sharing your hard work with me.
Loriel Lane is a young woman just starting out in life who lands the job of a lifetime as a secretary at Shellbrook, an international petroleum consortium. It is only days before she finds out it might be a very short lifetime. With the help of the CEO of Shellbrook, Givanni, Alarrno Loriel winds her way through the twists and turns of an international conspiracy, beginning at home in California and traveling to Givanni's family homeland in Italy to attend a wedding , and to Guntanamo as they uncover the conspiracy and find one another.
This is a fast read, an interesting tale, and a compact story. Written well before our newly found friendship with Cuba, the ease with which these youngsters enter and leave Cuba is just wrong, but perhaps now it is simple to come and go down there.
