Oh my god what a brilliant book. It had me gripped from the first page the plot is totally amazing and you are always kept wondering right to the very last page if mother and daughter survive. They have both been through so much and you really want everything to work out for them both.
What I would love is maybe another part to let us know what happens to them and what has happened to the other girls do they escape? What happens in the future it could be a great series.
This book is written brilliantly and the description really draws you in to the feel and setting of the story you feel their pain, heartache the fight to stay alive and to be together again as a family.
So brilliantly written I could not put it down I had to keep reading to see what was going to happen next.
It also had me thinking about the book long after I had finished the book which a lot of books do not do. I stayed up late in to the night to read it in one sitting a brilliant book

Well that was a traumatic read. At one point I found the subject matter quite disturbing and put the book down thinking I couldn't read anymore. I picked it back up again...I was hooked and I had to find out what happened next.
I'm not going to say anymore about the story, the synopsis says enough. The book was fast paced, never a dull moment.
Francine, the mother shows us the power of a mother's love. Her belief that her daughter Autumn is still alive after ten years and the feeling that she can feel her near is so powerful.
I found the disturbing parts a bit unbelievable but who knows what goes on in some parts of the world, there are many people with strange ideas of right and wrong.
Most of the book had me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails and unable to stop reading. Although I couldn't read it in bed as it would have kept me awake all night.
What a great debut novel but why isn't it out in paperback? I think it will be,must be soon.
I'm actually a wimp when it comes to reading thrillers or tense stories so I'm pleased I got to the end of this book. I have a question for the author if he reads this, " We know this story is not over so can we please have a sequel?" Give me another year and I will have plucked up courage to read it.
Go on ...read it if you dare!
Can't believe this book is 99p for kindle.

I thought this book started well and was a page-turner. However I'm afraid the subject matter was a bit too dark for me so I have put it aside. I would like to know what happens to Francine and Autumn so might need to sneak a look at the ending! I'm sure many readers will love this thriller - it's definitely a page turner - but the subject matter is just too hard for me to read at the moment. I need something lighter for the summer and found the abduction of children too depressing. Nothing wrong with the book, just not for me.

Francines daughter was abducted 10 years ago, since then her marriage has broken down and she has become a functioning alcoholic.
A note pushed through her letterbox saying 'I know where she is' starts off a chain of unimaginable events.
Francines ex-husband wants nothing to do with her unbelievable claims that their daughter is still alive, having channelled all his grief into writing books about the tragedy and making a fortune out of them, with a newly pregnant wife he Cruelly dismisses her pleas of help.
So starts a fast moving lone race to find her daughter, at break neck speed all manner of events occur, and herein I found a problem with this story, although well written everything was happening too fast to make it believable. I would of liked a lot more depth and explanation of the who, what and why's of how these harrowing events took place. Perhaps as another reviewer has suggested there could be a follow up , I'd certainly like to know a lot more about this evil operation.
My grateful thanks to net galley and publisher for opportunity to review this book honestly.

Brilliant. Full of suspense, a heart racing tale of a mothers distress. 10 years after her daughter was taken there is a clue leading to a dramatic adventure to find her. This is a great fast paced read!

It would be comforting to think the storyline of this book was the work of an over stimulated imagination but the sad truth is we hear of similar horrors in the news almost every day; sex trafficking, slavery and celebrities who have fallen from grace. However, 'I know where she is', is a gripping novel that keeps the pages turning and gives an insight to the misery endured by all, when a loved one goes missing.

This book had my attention from the first page. It was well written and full of action, I simply couldn't put it down as I needed to know the ending. Great book, would recommend

I thoroughly enjoyed this book really well written and a good story line. This book didn't disappoint, it was gritty and full of twists and turns that kept me turning the pages and wanting more. I had a real job putting this one down. A solid 5 star read.

The cover and blurb promised a thrilling story in the vein of some of my favorite authors so perhaps my expectations were too high but i found this rather slow when it began. I stuck with it and things finally sped up. It was a good book but not great and a bit of a let down after it being compared to Karin Slaughter which is always a mistake in my mind.

If you happened to watch The Missing then this is the book for you. It is written from two perspectives one the mother Francine who took her eyes off her little girl for a minute and she was gone. And also from the girls who have been taken.
The author of this fast paced novel almost makes you feel a part of the story and a mother's Instinct to never give up on her daughter
I simply couldn't put it down I read it in one long go because very chapter left you on the edge of a cliff (metaphorically speaking) and I needed to know what was going to happen next
I only hope the author is writing a second book

Quite a quick read, but in all honesty, not really for me. I had two problems: the first was that I didn;t like any of the characters and the second was that I felt the storyline became increasingly implausible, The focus of the story is on Autumn, a girl abducted as a 9-year-old on a simple shopping trip with her mother. As the 10th anniversary of her disappearance approaches, her mother Francine, receives a hastily scribbled note through her door which simply says 'I know where she is'.
This did have me gripped at the start, but the change in Francine from a forgetful alcoholic in the beginning to what she became (I don't want to give away spoilers) in just a few pages was just too much of a stretch for me.
The real story of what happened to Autimn is a difficult read and I did find this hard going at times. The ending is left open for a series of sequals, but I'm afraid this book just wasn;t for me.

This is a well written thriller with a very fast-paced storyline.
The author delivers a good development for Francine from a depressed and heart-broken alcoholic whose daughter went missing 10 years ago to an incredibly determined fighter who would literally do anything in order to find her child. It’s fair to say that she finds her better self in the process too and this was well portrayed by the author.
Personally, I can’t give this book more than 3 stars for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it was an uncomfortable read, covering very dark and disturbing themes and at times I actually thought I would stop reading it for this very reason. Secondly, although it reads so fast and you can finish it very quickly, if you stop and think about it, the storyline is implausible and unbelievable on several different fronts. I do appreciate however that this is a subjective point of view and lots of people would be happy to overlook this in exchange for a thrilling read.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an e-copy of this book in return for an honest review.
I have posted this review on Goodreads too.

I found this book rather confusing on places and the characters were not as good as they could be . Fantastic idea but could have been done a lot better

This was certainly a gripping read and one which was fast-paced and hard to put down. It's always intriguing when you are reading and wondering how on earth things can be resolved. At times some of the subject matter was uncomfortable. I'm not sure about how I feel about the ending and wonder whether there will be a sequel. Certainly a good psychological thriller, which keeps you thinking!

Wow one of those books i just couldnt put down, the story of a mothers search for her abducted daughter with plenty of excitement and action. Some references to the abuse suffered but not to descriptive which I found good. I hope there is another book to follow as I feel there should be more to come and questions that still need to be answered.

The book started well but then I felt it became a little far fetched especially towards the end. The plot was quite good however I think Francine could have had a little more control over her life to be convincing enough to attempt all that she did. Don't want to give away too many spoilers but a readable book,

This book was well on it's way to a 4 star review however the ending was so disappointing.
The one thing that troubled me most about this book was the rate at which everything happened, and so effortlessly. It felt like there was a whole chunk of text missing, one minute she was talking to this mysterious girl who had clues about her daughter the next minute she's scaling the wall at the TV presenter's home. I then felt the ending was very rushed and also unresolved, I was also really disappointed in the epilogue.
It was fast paced and I read it within a day but I felt there could have been more to the story. I did enjoy it but wanted more from it.
Thanks to NetGalley, Canelo and S B Caves for my free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Unfortunately I was unable to finish this book, it held no interest for me and I couldn't connect to the characters.

To begin with, I found this book a little slow, but then the pace picked up sharply and I found myself gripped by the plot (to the extent that I stayed up into the night until I finished the book!).
I can't imagine the horror of a child disappearing - every parent's nightmare. This isn't a book for everyone - as a parent it was a difficult read due to some of the content being "dark". I found myself repulsed but wanting to carry on reading to find out the motivation of the dark characters - but this wasn't actually forthcoming in the end, so perhaps that means there will be a sequel?
A compelling read, but be aware that you may find some of it upsetting. Thanks to the publishers and NetGalley for allowing me to read an advance copy in return for my honest review.

I Know Where She Is is the debut novel from S. B. Caves. I’d already taken part in one blog tour for a Canelo thriller this year so when I was asked if I’d like to take part in this one I jumped at the chance, and it didn’t disappoint. Now I have the slightly unenviable task of reviewing this wonderful book without spoiling it for any of you. The less you know going into this book the better, so apologies this review is short, but you’ll thank me once you’ve read the book and been able to experience each twist and turn for yourself.
I Know Where She Is tells the story of Francine, a mother still trying to deal with the kidnapping of her daughter many years ago. Francine is a character that grew on me as the story went on, I definitely felt sympathy for her from the beginning but it took a little while for the empathy to kick in, probably because I’m not a mother myself. Over the course of the book we’re introduced to a number of characters, who I won’t go into in any detail but include Will, Francine’s ex husband, and the author of the mysterious note.
There is no denying that I Know Where She Is is a dark and disturbing book, as we learn more about the kidnapping the book covers some difficult topics. It truly is a credit to S.B. Caves that in places this book was so hard to read, the writing creates a world so realistic I wouldn’t be surprised if I’d woken up this morning to read the story in the newspaper. At the same time he creates a suspense that keeps the reader turning pages, desperate to find out more, he kept me second guessing my opinions on all of the characters, were they good, should I be on their side? or are they actually involved in some way? I was genuinely questioning one character in particular right up until the last page.
Would I Recommend?
Yes! I Know Where She Is is a fantastic debut from S.B. Caves, it’s suspenseful, it’s dark, it deals with particularly current topics and it will keep you up wondering what’s going to happen in the end. If I have any issues with the book it’s that it ended where it did, you’ll understand when you get there! I just hope that S.B. Caves has a follow up in him!
If you decide to pick it up, which you should, please feel free to drop me a DM on Twitter or send me an email to let me know what you thought!
