Amazing conclusion to Jane&Brian’s torturous journey to a life together with uncertainty. My heart was just aching and beating so fast with anticipation for Jane&Brian. I can’t believe how in a blink of an eye the story was going like I thought then whoosh the halfway mark of book everything was twists and turns like a freaking tornado hit. I was blown away from some of the truths that were revealed and I loved every minute of them. Charmaine Pauls has a way with her words that just grip me and sink me so far into the storyline I don’t want to stop reading until the end. So much Emotion,Heartfelt feelings, and Torture while reading this book. I’m amazed at how everything just came together at the end of the book and absolutely loved this quote: “Something as rare as what we had is worth fighting for. She’s worth fighting for. To hell with the how and why. To hell with the age between us. “
Jane&Brian’s life was different in so many ways, but that’s what makes their life interesting. I believe we can’t choose who we fall in love with when our hearts are doing the choosing for us.

Dark, intense and passionate are only few words that come near to describing “Young Enough” by Charmaine Pauls. Pauls’ work is far from ordinary and is in a class of itself. She writes romance that is shocking, unforgettable and poignant not to mention raw and provocative! In this second book of her The Age Between Us series we see reality settle in as Brian and Jane face new challenges and secrets are revealed.

You can’t help but go back and forth with this relationship. Is it right? Is it acceptable? Is it real or just a short fling? Charmaine Pauls has a way of bringing unconventional relationships to life and showing us that nothing is as black and white as we think and that there are many shades in between.

Another remarkable romance by Charmaine Pauls! Can’t wait to see what she has in store for us with her next romance!

OMG! The follow up was fantastic! I loved the continuation of Brian and Jane’s relationship and all the shit hitting the fan in her life. I could feel both Jane and Brian’s love, passion, and heartbreak through this story. I got so pissed at the stuff happening I almost started screaming at my iPad! But in the end was a HEA that they both deserved. Bravo Ms. Pauls!

Im still in 2 minds about this book. I'm glad that their story ended well but I found his POVs slightly disturbing. I really don't know what to make of it

What a great ending to the first book. Such a taboo book with a 19 year old, mature, caring, sexy man and a 43 year old woman. There was so much going on in this book, and it was all well written and a hard to put down book. I made sure I had the time to read the whole book in one sitting as I knew it would be hard to put down. The book did not disappoint! Great HEA.

I truly enjoyed the sequel to old enough. It was heart breaking, frusting, sensual, gritty, steamy and full of turns that had you biting your nails. Also made you realize how real life is. Love knows no bounds and comes in all shapes and sizes. Great story to remind you no matter where you come from or where you go true love is always there

Beautiful conclusion to this two-part series. I started and finished it in one-day, I just couldn't put it down.
There are moments where the story does get dark, and some readers may be triggered by it.
*Received ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Whew, what else could happen to Jane. The woman has the perseverance, I will say that and to come through it with an HEA is what makes this romance so lovely. Her compassion for people even though they have wronged her is overwhelming. Brian again is really an old soul in a young body. I was amazed again at how he took everything in stride (well, most everything) and did not give up on Jane. There are some very intense moments in this story which I loved. The ending (before the epilogue) is so sweet and beautiful. Another great read from Ms. Pauls.

I am glad to have received this ARC from Charmaine Pauls and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Charmaine Pauls’ Young Enough continues where Old Enough leaves off and we see the consequences of Brian’s and Jane’s secret-keeping. Everything becomes progressively more complicated. Monkey, the local mob boss, is increasingly more insistent in the demands he makes on Brian. Serious allegations are made that may result in changes to the current custody arrangements for Abby. Benjamin’s schemes come to a head, raising the question of who has betrayed whom. Jane’s job-security is threatened. Friendships face challenges and it’s hard to know who will be supportive and who will be disloyal. There are threats and dangers and numerous unexpected twists and turns. I felt like I was on a roller coaster ride as new obstacles kept raising the stakes; I couldn’t put this down, impatient to find out what happens next.

Brian remains constant in his love for Jane, but Jane is faced with so many betrayals that she begins to question whether he has ulterior motives. As everything reaches crisis levels, Jane finally makes a decision that will have significant repercussions in her relationship with Brian. With so many new revelations and entanglements, Jane and Brian’s HEA is no longer a certainty.

Young Enough is a splendid conclusion to The Age Between Us duology. Charmaine Pauls has a style of writing that both describes the sensual and steamy nature of Brian and Jane’s relationship and presents a plot that draws in the reader with its complications and unexpected developments, a terrific combination! She is an author whose works I plan to follow in the future.

Because I had not read the first book, I struggled with the different people and their roles in the book. Once I got into the book, it started making more sense and I really enjoyed the story and all of the dynamics occurring. Brian falls for a woman, old enough to be his mother but the love is real and they do have a HEA but there are a lot of struggles, danger and misunderstandings along the way. It is a well written book and I would highly recommend it for a great read but I believe you need to read the first book in order to appreciate this one. I received a copy of this book thru Netgalley.

I received Young Enough by Charmaine Pauls through Netgalley for free in exchange for a free review. Please make sure that you read "Old Enough" by Charmaine Pauls before attempting to read this book, as you will be lost if you don't. I was very excited to see that I was able to read this book so close to having read the first book in the duet. I really did enjoy it. The ending was satisfying, if a little unexpected. I cannot say that I fully support all of the decisions that the main characters made, but they fit for them. As always with this author, the sex scenes were hot and quite descriptive. This is not for the faint of heart. I read it in one evening. Enjoyable read and I am sure I will look for more books to read by this author as they come available.

Young enough to love this book!

This is book 2, so you must read Old Enough first. I loved this book! It took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions with twists & turns that enthralled me. This book was so good that I couldn’t stop reading until I got to the end then I was sad it was over. I am still thinking about this book the next day - that is how much this book is staying with me. Again, I loved this book!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book (from NetGalley). All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was a much awaited sequel for me!! I LOVED this book. The depth of the storyline is unbelievable and kept me on my toes throughout--never knowing which way the plot would bend or warp... The heroine is very relatable! It really felt like her plights were my own. Descriptions and emotions were so extremely well portrayed--the stressors and sorrows becoming my own. I even cried at one point--which was pleasantly unexpected. (FYI: I do NOT recommend starting chapter six unless the reader has about 6 or 7 free hours in succession, as I was unable to put this novel down from that point on...) Thank you to NetGalley and Charmaine Pauls for a wonderfully sleepless night!

Beautifully painful and painfully beautiful!

To recap, Young Enough is Book 2 of a love duet between a forty-two year old divorcée who is struggling to restructure her life after the loss of her marriage and a nineteen year old university student who pursues her relentlessly while simultaneously working to support his alcoholic mother and his younger sister. Jane and Brian are explosive together! But it takes a lot for Brian to convince Jane to look past the multitude of obstacles, towards seeing them as a permanent couple.

*** “I wish I could give you the younger version of me.” “I don’t want the younger version of you. It won’t be the person you are now, because everything that happened to shape you into the person you are wouldn’t have happened.” ***

Brian is very possessive, protective and determined for his age. Whenever Brian and Jane are together their passion is so beautiful it makes me ache. Their love is intense and glorious - completely enviable!

*** “Every woman deserves the over-the-top, I’d-fucking-die-without-you feeling I have for you. I won’t degrade a young girl to second best simply because you reject me, so don’t even think about it. I’d prefer to be alone.” ***

But Charmaine Pauls is the queen of torturing her characters. Just when the couple are ready to take their relationship to the next level, a deluge of challenges (which have been simmering in the background) is finally released. This author proves again she has the courage to subject her characters to gut-wrenching hardship and drag her readers through the ringer. Jane and Brian encounter so much more danger, betrayal and even just plain bad luck that I wasn’t sure I could withstand the torture, the pain. I could feel my miniature literary self curled up into the fetal position inside my mind sobbing “No! No! Stop! I can’t take any more!”

Young Enough completes the Age Between Us duet with intense pain, intense love, and intense satisfaction. I may have wished greater retribution on some of the secondary characters (ahem! Francois, Benjamin, “Debs”, I’m looking at you!) but at the same time, I am won over by the grace and kindness of Jane and the resilience and loyalty of Brian. I loved this couple!

I thought I’d lost everything. My life was in tatters when a man half my age broke into my property and invaded my future. Our love is forbidden, but I’m single and he’s all the taboo I crave. For once in my life, why not? But what if I start wanting more than a fleeting love affair? What if his secrets will destroy me? I had no idea how much more I was about to lose. When I started reading I couldn't put it down.Charmaine Pauls is magnifysent writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book.

Waiting for this book was agony, the need to know what happened to Jane and Brian was unbearable. But I must say it was definitely worth the wait. Charmaine Pauls never disappoints. Jane’s difficult life with work, Abby and her ex were not making life any easier, but she had the infatuation with Brian to calm some of those days. He, however was becoming more and more protective and possessive even if she didn’t see it, which he had reasons to be. Secrets always come out no matter how hard you try to keep them hidden. But after a lot of turmoil and difficult choices love can prevail in the end. It just may not be smooth sailing to get there.

Great book. I loved the characters and the storyline. It kept me interested until the very end. I did not like Deb's. It really irked me the way she was able to steal Jane's life (and house) with no consequences. I would have enjoyed the book much more if she had been brought down a notch (or twelve).....Same with Loretta.

You don't want to pass up this series!! Charmaine Pauls has exceeded all expectations with this intriguing, gut wrenching, heart-felt story. Jane and Brian begin their story in Old Enough, the first book in the series. It sets up a multi-faceted plot and what we know will be an incredible climax in the conclusion, Young Enough. Young Enough is fast paced and has so many high points, I just couldn't put it down. If you want a unique story that will fill you with feelings of anger, joy, sadness and hope, this is the book for you!

I loved the first book in this duet and while this was a very strong finish, I just wanted more for Jane. She suffered so much in Old Enough and I knew that it was going to get worse before it got better, I just wasn't expecting this amount of worse. This book was super sexy and I loved the relationship between Jane and Brian. Jane literally gets put through the ringer and I didn't feel like there was enough justice for her in the end. The way she was treated by those closest to her was heartbreaking and I think they deserved more for what they did. I do like the way the book ended, but I wish it had been a little longer. It ended a bit abruptly for me and I would have rather seen more of Jane's HEA instead of the extra angst right before that. I felt that was unnecessary. BUT overall, this is a great read and I'm satisfied. This was a total page turner and I read it in one day. I didn't think I would like an age gap like this, but Brian was an imperfectly perfect hero. However, Jane's compassion and ability to forgive is the shining star in this story.
