I’m not sure how I feel about this one still. I liked it while I was reading it but I found it very forgettable. I did really like the characters and the story line.

"Our Stop" by Laura Jane Williams is a delightful romantic comedy that captures the whimsy and serendipity of modern love in the bustling metropolis of London. With its charming characters, witty banter, and heartwarming storyline, Williams invites readers on a journey of love, missed connections, and second chances.

At the heart of the story are Nadia and Daniel, two strangers whose lives intersect in unexpected ways thanks to a series of near-misses and chance encounters on the London Underground. Through a series of missed connections and coincidences, Nadia and Daniel find themselves drawn to each other, despite the obstacles that seem to stand in their way.

Williams's writing is fresh, funny, and full of heart, with a keen eye for the small moments and subtle nuances that define modern romance. Through her vivid descriptions and clever dialogue, she captures the energy and excitement of life in the city, from the hustle and bustle of the Tube to the quiet moments of reflection in the park.

What sets "Our Stop" apart is its exploration of the power of connection in the digital age. As Nadia and Daniel navigate the complexities of modern dating and communication, they grapple with the challenges of balancing work, family, and personal fulfillment in a fast-paced world. Through their journey, Williams offers a poignant commentary on the importance of slowing down, being present, and taking a chance on love, even when it seems daunting or impossible.

The characters in "Our Stop" are wonderfully drawn and relatable, each with their own quirks, insecurities, and hopes for the future. From Nadia, with her fierce independence and endearing vulnerability, to Daniel, whose charm and sincerity mask a deeper sense of longing, every character feels authentic and multidimensional.

In conclusion, "Our Stop" is a charming and uplifting read that will appeal to fans of contemporary romance and romantic comedies alike. With its engaging storyline, lovable characters, and witty writing, Laura Jane Williams has crafted a novel that is as heartwarming as it is entertaining. Whether you're a hopeless romantic or a skeptic when it comes to love, "Our Stop" is sure to leave you smiling and believing in the power of serendipity to bring people together.

Loved this so much and beating myself up for not reading it sooner! Had been a while since I read a romance like that and this hit the spot perfectly. Beautifully written and complex characters and a rather cute story!

I just this minute finished reading Our Stop by Laura Jane Williams and I had to log right on to talk about it. I actually was offered an advance copy of this back in 2019 when it was first coming out but I was overwhelmed with stuff back then and didn't get around to it in time. Believe me, I'm kicking myself now for not reading this adorable book sooner.

Our Stop is a fun, silly rom-com that fans of Bridget Jones' Diary, early Jane Green novels, and any Nora Ephron movie will love. It's all about missed connections and plays with the idea that some people are just fated to meet. It's way overloaded on coincidence, tropes, and serendipity, but it all works somehow and comes together as a cute, feel-good story. I definitely understand now why this book hit so many recommendation lists over the last few years and will be looking out for more books by Williams ASAP.

Two stars are going for cute premise - I really want to read a good “missed connections” romance!
But this novel is not a good romance, it actually is a big collection of every modern cliche; starting (but not ending) with guys being in touch with their feelings, female empowerment and feminism, consent in the sexual relationships and gender fluid sexuality. Actually, a guy falls for a girl when hearing her speak using the word “heteronormative” (not the reason for him to fall for her per se, but one of the reasons for him to consider her as kind - without any real proof of her real personality). Do not take me wrong - these topics are not wrong themselves, but here they are used very much at-your-face and the way nobody is speaking about them in the real life. Very pre-2020 novel - I mean, after the two years of covid and the war going on in Europe I really do not care abour the then fancied (and shallow) issues that much.

⭐ I absolutely loved the premise.
⭐ The split narrative of both characters as the weave around each other is fabulous.
⭐ Honest, down to earth & well written characters.
⭐ It's witty, real and full of kick ass women!
⭐ I'd recommend this to anyone looking for an emotional, heart warming read.

If you’re a fan of You’ve Got Mail, then this is the book for you. Our Stop was not only incredibly cute and sweet, but it was funny, showed strong female friendships, and even tackled tough issues with grace. While some scenes felt a bit repetitive at times, I still really enjoyed this book. I’m a sucker for 90’s rom coms and this just had all those good vibes while still being modern.

The writing was fine but everything seemed forced between the characters. I get she's trying to say everyone is woke and all of that, but is there's not something else there... I think the author needs to find her voice becomes it comes off as just pandering to the 21th century crowd.

This was an interesting book for me because I was LOVING the first half. Honestly, I have never connected more to a heroine. She was so utterly relatable! But then I kept reading and the hero and heroine kept missing each other, again and again, and again. I eventually got so frustrated and kind of bored with the cyclical plot that I put the book down and never picked it up again. I liked the writing, but I had a feeling the payoff wouldn't be there to make my frustration worth it. I didn't finish the book and I don't think I will.

A very sweet book with very likeable characters. I would have preferred a faster plot pacing, it found myself skipping in parts trying to get too when they will meet, but overall it was a nice feel good book.

"To the cute girl with the coffee stains on her dress. I'm the guy who's always standing near the doors...Drink sometime?"

Such a great read, it was what I need it!Fun, sweet and adorable!Nadia has just come out of a really bad relationship and feels she needs to change her lifestyle.I really liked her and I could relate at her at some point!Daniel was good too, he was sweet. Both Daniel and Nadia are extremely lovable characters. The first half was ok, it felt a little long but the rest was getting better and better. The ending was heartwarming.

**Scanning through my ‘feedback left’, I noticed this was blank, so apologies for the very late review.

I found this book witty in places and easy to read, but there were too many eye-roll moments and it felt very childishly written in places, so not a book I feel I could recommend.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in return for an honest review.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.

After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.

I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.

Such a cute and sweet story! I flew through this one and loved the build up to the end. There was definite chemistry throughout that kept me on my toes. Can’t wait to read her others!

I had a hard time getting into this book unfortunately. It took too long for the main characters to actually meet each other. This one just wasn’t working for me.

This was so much cuter than I anticipated! I, too, am a sucker for Nora Ephron story and although it was easy to see who the author gets her inspiration from, it was unique and funny in its own right. Things I loved- obviously Daniel, even if he could be a little "too good to be true". I also like Nadia because she was fresh and honest in her quest for love. I loved the banter and the support characters, as well as cultural references. It felt very current without trying too hard. The whole story, and them almost meeting multiple times was engaging. Things I disliked...the ONLY thing I would have changed was that it took them too long (85%!) to meet. Although thats what the book is about, the reader cant hero but feel let down that you'll only get a smidgeon of time with them together.

I am going to include this one in a monthly wrap up post with a 4 star rating

A decent story but failed to really engage me as some of the dialogue between characters just wouldn't happen in my world (maybe in someone else's but just not mine!). Well written but sadly not for me

I don’t even know where to begin with this delightful book! This was such a fun, book to sit down and enjoy! I had such a blast with the characters and all of the shenanigans that they got involved in! I absolutely cannot wait to read another book by this author! Written is such a fun storyline it was hard not to love the characters. This is definitely a fun pick me up kind of book to enjoy on the beach!
