I read PS I Love You when it was first published and loved it. As so many years have passed since I read it I was sceptical about reading a sequel in case it went in a different direction to what I imagined for the characters. After reading the first few chapters I realise my doubts were misplaced as I was immediately transported back to the world of Holly and Gerry and loved finding out where Holly is seven years after Gerry's death. The stages of Holly's grief are believable and relatable and by the end of the sample chapters I was hooked and desperately wanted to read more. I'm very much looking forward to reading the full book.
Thank you to Netgalley and HarperCollins UK for the eARC sample in exchange for an honest review.

I remember picking up ‘PS, I Love You’ to read before the movie came out (the book is 💯 better!) because I was going through my James Marsters obsession - don’t judge me! I was an absolute wreck at the end. They say it can be cathartic to have a good cry. The jury is still out on that for me, lol. But it’s one of those books that stays with you forever.

I was excited and apprehensive when I first heard about Postscript, but in the end I couldn’t help but download this sampler. Cecelia Ahern is a great storyteller and she’s sucked me in once again. Just reading these four chapters has evoked all the same feelings. Yet, given the loss I’ve experienced this year, Holly’s story has taken on an altogether different hue. What I’d give for one more word...

I’ll be sure to have my Postscript reader’s survivor kit all sorted for release: industrial supply of tissues, big girl panties and eye masks (for the crying jags) along with confectionary of my choice!

Bring it on!

It may have been a tiny extract but I fell head over heels with the story (and can't wait to read the whole book). It's a follow on from P.S, I love you.

Holly has moved on with her life but still feels a connection to her deceased husband, Gerry who died of a brain tumour 7 years ago. She has met an amazing new man, is close to her sister, even taking part in a podcast with her on grief, something she never thought she'd ever be able to do. Someone reaches out to her after the podcast having been moved by what Holly has said. I think from the extract the book will be amazing and I can't wait to read it and see where it takes the characters.

A sample of the follow up to 'P.S. I Love You'. I can't wait for the full novel to be released! This promises to bring us the emotional rollercoaster we've come to expect from Cecelia Ahern.

This ARC has a big issue: it's not the entire book and I was left craving for more.
It was a fun read, engrossing and entertaining. I look forward to reading the entire book.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC

Aaaaarrrrgggghhhhh!! I need more!! After having to reread PS I Love You all over again(because I couldn’t resist), taking a bite out of what promises to be the very excellent Postscript, is just cruel! There is no other way to describe it! Just as I’d settled into Holly’s character again, where the sampler finished is leaving me itching for more, to see how the story develops, and find out more about this mysterious PS I Love You club that was set up by one of their customers after listening to holly at her podcast talk.
I’m absolutely dying to read the rest of this now. Not sure I can wait until it’s published before reading the rest of it!

PS I love you was my first Cecelia Ahern book and I have read every one of her books since. I was so glad to get this opportunity to read an sampler of the next episode of this wonderful book . It picks up 6 years after the first one left off. I only read a couple of chapters as this was a sample but what I have read I can’t wait for the full book

"For a full year after his death, my husband Gerry continued his life by giving me the gift of his words in surprise monthly notes. His words were all I had; no more spoken words, but words, written from his thoughts, from his mind, from a brain that controlled a body with a beating heart. Words meant life."

Seven years since Gerry’s death and six years since Holly read his final letter…and she’s back stood in front of the place where his ashes lie. I absolutely loved being back in Holly's world - a bittersweet place to be - and had so many questions after reading this sampler. This book has been brought to life even more so with the PS I Love you film - but it really feels like Ahern has respected her initial style of writing and her character choices at the same time - to remain true to the message she has always been delivering.

This was a sampler of the follow up to PS I Love You. It definitely drew me in and I will read the whole book at some point. However a sample is not enough to judge the book on and it was very short.

Well I've read first three chapters available on netgaley and I'm intrigued. I adored book 1, and just hope postscript will be as immersive.

Ugh, this sampler has pulled me right back into a story I loved years ago. Cecelia's writing is relatable and all-consuming, pulling you in for a comforting hug while you deal with the painful news she's delivered, until you're rocked back to better.

I enjoy reading Celia Aherns books but approached this one with some trepidation.
Don't know why, maybe a bit squeamish about the subject matter? Needn't have worried and devastated that it was only a sampler and I have to wait to find out what happens next

This tantilising little taster leaves the reader wanting more and follows on perfectly from Cecelia's P.S. I Love You. I, for one, will be waiting for the whole book to be published in September so I can fully immerse myself in this forthcoming treat.

Having been a huge fan of P.S. I Love You, I wasn't sure that Ahern could live up to the memory of that book but it's clear from this preview sampler that she has another wonderful story awaiting us. I have a feeling this will be a tearjerker but also worth it. Her writing style is as easy to slip into as always and I'm already anticipating what will happen. Cant wait to read more!

I loved Postscript which was a sample of the full book and finally long awaited a sequel to PS I Love You.
Holly who lost her husband Gerry to a brain tumour nearly seven years ago speaks about her letters written by Gerry to be opened at various intervals after his death at an evening arranged by her sister. A great start to the book which hooked me in I can’t wait to read the full book.

Postscript by Cecelia Ahern sampler, a fulfilling start to a five-star read. This shows great promise; I can’t wait to read the rest of the story. Four chapters isn’t enough!! Always will be one of my favourite authors.

Postscript is the sequel I didn't know I needed until it happened. I haven't read PS I Love You since its initial release but this sampler immediately took me right back into Holly Kennedy's world. It's been seven years since Holly's husband died and six since the letters stopped. Holly takes part in a grief podcast and a small group form who have been particularly touched by her story, sucking her back in to a world she thought she'd left behind. It's wonderfully written and I'm so excited to read the full thing!

I was so excited to read that there was to be a sequel to PS-I Love You. It’s one of my all time favourite books and I often wondered what happened with Holly.
Seven years after Gerry’s death, Holly is about to move in with her boyfriend. She works with her sister, and at the start of this book, has been talked into recording a podcast about grief for her sisters shop. This is the catalyst for the events which follow...the PS-I Love You club.
I’m really looking forward to reading the rest of the book and finding more about Holly and her new man.

I have not read ps I love you but I have seen the movie. This little sampler was written very well and I'd assume this will be a very moving, emotional read which will require tissues very much like the movie of the book previous to this one does. I'd say give this a go if you like the previous book or like this authors writing or are a fan of romantic tear jerking stories.
