This tantilising little taster leaves the reader wanting more and follows on perfectly from Cecelia's P.S. I Love You. I, for one, will be waiting for the whole book to be published in September so I can fully immerse myself in this forthcoming treat.

Having been a huge fan of P.S. I Love You, I wasn't sure that Ahern could live up to the memory of that book but it's clear from this preview sampler that she has another wonderful story awaiting us. I have a feeling this will be a tearjerker but also worth it. Her writing style is as easy to slip into as always and I'm already anticipating what will happen. Cant wait to read more!

I loved Postscript which was a sample of the full book and finally long awaited a sequel to PS I Love You.
Holly who lost her husband Gerry to a brain tumour nearly seven years ago speaks about her letters written by Gerry to be opened at various intervals after his death at an evening arranged by her sister. A great start to the book which hooked me in I can’t wait to read the full book.

Postscript by Cecelia Ahern sampler, a fulfilling start to a five-star read. This shows great promise; I can’t wait to read the rest of the story. Four chapters isn’t enough!! Always will be one of my favourite authors.

Postscript is the sequel I didn't know I needed until it happened. I haven't read PS I Love You since its initial release but this sampler immediately took me right back into Holly Kennedy's world. It's been seven years since Holly's husband died and six since the letters stopped. Holly takes part in a grief podcast and a small group form who have been particularly touched by her story, sucking her back in to a world she thought she'd left behind. It's wonderfully written and I'm so excited to read the full thing!

I was so excited to read that there was to be a sequel to PS-I Love You. It’s one of my all time favourite books and I often wondered what happened with Holly.
Seven years after Gerry’s death, Holly is about to move in with her boyfriend. She works with her sister, and at the start of this book, has been talked into recording a podcast about grief for her sisters shop. This is the catalyst for the events which follow...the PS-I Love You club.
I’m really looking forward to reading the rest of the book and finding more about Holly and her new man.

I have not read ps I love you but I have seen the movie. This little sampler was written very well and I'd assume this will be a very moving, emotional read which will require tissues very much like the movie of the book previous to this one does. I'd say give this a go if you like the previous book or like this authors writing or are a fan of romantic tear jerking stories.

I got totally taken in with the story and wanted to keep reading. I can’t wait for the full book to be released!
It made me remember how much I loved PS I Love You and Cecelia Ahern. This is going be a fabulous read and a real tear jerker. Roll on release day!

The first few pages drew me right back into holly and Jerry’s beautifully tragic romance.
Reading the excerpt was like greeting an old friend. The words comforted me even as they re broke my heart.
I can’t wait to be consumed by this story once again.

I’m so excited to read the full version of this sequel to PS. I Love You. This sampler has whet my appetite for more and looks as though it’s going to be every bit as good as its predecessor. Roll on publication date!

I was so excited to get the chance to read a sample of Postscript. PS I Love You is one of my all time favourite and I was not disappointed after reading this excerpt. I am extremely excited to read the full book later this year! I am sure that Cecelia Ahern will deliver a brilliant sequel to this class book.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for this ARC

The only thing wrong with a sampler is its too short! I am hooked already and really want to know what happens next. Cecilia talks about death so sensitively. Her choice of words and her descriptions are very well done. I really want to know how this works out. I've read a number of Cecilia's books and have enjoyed every one of them. Even if I don't get the chance to read this through netgalley I will buy it.

I love PS I Love You. I have read it several times which is rare for me as I normally only ever read a book once. Holly is a brilliant character and I really like the idea of this book. I really enjoy Cecelia Aherns books and the sampler of this book is written in her wonderful style and has me totally hooked. I am really looking forward to hiding away from the world to get peace to read the rest of the book.

Thank you to Netgalley for my copy.

PS I Love you was one of the best books from Cecelia Ahern and this sample of the sequel, Postscript is already set to make a fantastic read. Holly is back and after 7 years have passed since Gerry died she is drawn back into the struggles of grief. I can not wait for the full book to be released.

The arc sample for Postscript draws you back into Holly's world as if you never left. It is now seven years after Gerry's death and Holly is feeling more confident that life can go on as Holly, and maybe even Holly and Gerald. It is in this mindset that she agrees to her sister's request, to take part in a podcast sharing her grief experience, and particularly Gerry's letters, and what they meant for her.

Facing her grief again, even seven years on is difficult and you feel her pain and the real fear that she may slip back into the dark abyss if she examines her grief journey too closely. Nevertheless, she delivers and the response is positive, but someone seems too involved and Holly's reaction is avoidance, and this has consequences, but I need the rest of the book to find out what they are.

I received an arc sample from Harper Collins UK - Harper Fiction via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

This was a complimentary sample of the first 2 chapters - courtesy of netgalley - thank you

This is the sequel to PS I love you which I absolutely loved - its one of my favourite books so to be able to sample this has been a real treat

It continues the story 7 years on and the dealing with grief is still very prevalent - it would make a great book club book - dealing with the thread of relationships, grief and dealing with it

I loved it - the characters are well written and rounded

Can't wait to get hold of the book - September seems a long time coming !!

What a fabulous first few chapters. Was worried after reading ps I love u a very long time ago that I would struggle to pick up Holly’s character again but I didn’t. It’s wonderful. Hurry up full book please!

So delighted to get the chance to catch up with Holly again, 15 years after PS I Love you was first published. Set seven years after the death of her husband Gerry, we meet Holly as she is still learning to be just 'Holly' after being part of 'Holly and Gerry' for so long. Just as life seems to be moving on for her, she takes part in an interview 'Let's Talk About Death' where she talks to a group about just how important Gerry's letters were to her as part of her moving on. There is an unintended consequence to this which hits her for six.

And that's where the extract ends!

I was totally caught up in Holly's world again and found this a compelling read. Cecelia Ahern has all the emotions spot on as usual and knows grief can come at any time. I can't wait to read the rest of the book later this year.

Well that was a proper teaser. I went straight to but the book and it’s not out until September . Loved the first three chapters got straight back into Holly and her character. Looking forward to reading the rest

Wow! What a strong start to what will be a fabulous book.. It is now seven years since .Holly.'s beloved husband Gerry died, aged just 30. Her long winter is gradually turning into spring. with boyfriend Gabriel's help, Holly plucks up courage to speak about her experience of bereavement on her sister Ciara's podcast, in front of a live audience, including her friend Sharon with her two children. A designer label-clad lady, Angela Carberry seems particularly affected by the talk.and presses Holly to tell her story to more people. When she phones Angela to refuse her request, she is given devastating news

I love the humour of Sharon's noisy babies creating chaos. amid the pathos and sad honesty of the bereavement event.. Would love to read the rest of the book to find out if Holly takes the big step of moving in with Gabriel and whether she decides to speak again on the difficult subject of bereavement, for which she clearly has such a gift.

PS I Love You, was an emotional, deep yet humorous at times book that touched the hearts of everyone who read it.

7 years later here we are with a sample of
the Postscript.
Holly is in a relationship with Gabriel making plans to move in together. Her sister Ciara, with help from Holly is running her own shop with podcasts with audiences that give money to charity.
Holly agrees to help her sister by doing a podcast herself on ‘How to talk about death’.
Friends attend the podcast as well as people intrigued by what can come from Ciara’s shop assistant.

There is interest in what Gerry’s (late husband) letters, received by Holly for ten months following his death could possibly say. Holly shares the last letter with everyone, causing a bit of a stir among listeners of the podcast as well as the immediate audience.
A regular donator to the shop try’s without success to speak with Holly, who is hiding from her, unwilling to discuss Gerry’s letters any further.

One phone call following another contact to delve further into Holly’s ‘story’ and she is left dissolved.

I cannot wait for the rest of this book! I want to know how Holly’s life has changed and what lies ahead for her, her friends and her family now!

Oh wow this is a book I have been waiting for since 2005. I loved PS I Love You - it was one of the first women’s fiction books I read and I remember being a 16 year old girl crying my heart out over Gerry and Holly and their last year together through Gerry’s letters.

I’m excited to see where this new book goes and it was lovely to see zoology giving an interview to Ciara’s Podcast as well as sharing her experiences despite the clear lack of desire to do so.

I really cannot wait for the full book, I’m pretty certain this will be a 5 Star read for me!!!!

I loved PS. I Love You and this teaser has made me very excited for the sequel. I was unsure how she could follow on from the first book, but its clear there is more story waiting for us postscript. Looking forward to the release in September.

I literally cannot wait until this book is released. The sampler was just too much of a tease! Just as I was getting settled down into the story, the sampler finished and I was left hanging as to what was going to happen next. I loved the first book, and absolutely cried my eyes through it. I didn't think anything would be able to mess with my emotions more than PS I Love You, but, this one has left me with tears in my eyes already. Roll on September!

As a huge fan of P.S. I Love You I couldn't wait for the sequel and this little taster is so promising! It's never easy to write a sequel to a huge hit, but Postscript sounds like another fantastic book. I can't wait to read it in full! Thank you to the publisher, the author and Netgalley for providing a sample in advance. #Postscript #NetGalley

Thank you NetGalley for a sampler of Postscript. Can't wait for this one, by the first four chapters, I can already tell it will be a good one!

She thought she's over Gerrry's death (as much as she can be), but seven years after his death, Holly finds herself on a strange path again that evokes her memories. Can she really put all of her experiences and feeling behind, or the lava of emotions will stumble her life all over again?

Counting days till September 19th to see the answer to this questions :)..

I loved PS. I love you. I remembering reading it a few years ago and bawling my eyes out so many times. I got so invested in Holly’s life and her journey back to life and to herself. While she found her real self thanks to Gerry’s letters at the end, I wanted more, I wanted to know if Holly was going to let herself love again.

Therefore I was so thrilled when I downloaded these few chapters of its sequel: Postscript. We find Holly again who seems to have found love again. But has she really and is she truly happy?

In this sequel we find again Cecelia Ahern’s beautiful and poetic writing style. In those few chapters you get invested very quickly and you can’t put the book down until you realise you are already at the end and all you can do is impatiently wait for the full book to release. I can’t wait to read the full book and see if Holly can finally be truly happy again.

Thank you NetGalley and Harper Collins for a sampler of Postscript. I can’t wait for this to be released.
Seven years have passed since Gerry’s death. Holly is now in a better place and is moving on with her life. She agrees to do a podcast for her sister Ciara in the vintage and second-hand shop that she has been working in with her sister for the last three years. The Podcast will be recorded in front of a live audience and the proceeds will go to charity. It’s one of a series of Magpie podcasts, this one called How to talk about death. Holly regrets that she is doing it. But brings back memories of her and Gerry and the letters.
After the podcast she receives an envelope from one of the regulars of the shop, which Holly thinks she is being stalked. So, she doesn’t open it. But now boyfriend Gabriel finds it after it has been stuffed on a bookshelf and finds a business card in the envelope and when she rings up the woman to tell her what she thinks of her, Holly is left reeling.
When I first started reading this sample, I was a bit miffed when I read the prologue. But as I read on, the writing is of Cecelia Aherns writing I have got to know and love. This will be another emotional rollercoaster of a ride and I can wait.

Although I only had a taster of this book I was totally gripped and cannot wait for it to be published! Cecelia Ahern has a way of just hooking you in and you don't want to stop reading.

Continuing the story of Holly 7 years after her world crumbled when her husband Gerry died. She is just starting to rebuild her life and move on when a customer in the clothes exchange shop hands her a not but Holly doesn't open it in time....

Oh I cannot wait to read all of this book!

I loved, loved, LOVED PS I Love You and here comes the sequel.

We rejoin Holly 7 years after the death of Gerry and all those lovely letters he left her to help her survive. Holly is in a relationship with Gabriel and they are talking about moving in together but Holly can't quite bring herself to put her house on the market. She does however, help her sister Ciara with a podcast on death where she talks about learning to live without Gerry. It's all very painful and that is why she gets upset with Angela who wants her to do more publicity around Gerry's death. Brushing off Angela's advances, Holly is determined that she wants to put her feelings about Gerry behind her, so when she receives a card from Angela for the PS I Love You club she snaps and phones Angela to tell her to let it go once and for all....except she can't speak to Angela, not today, not tomorrow, not ever again and now she feels guilty......

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for this preview chapter in exchange for an honest review!

I remember picking up ‘PS, I Love You’ to read before the movie came out (the book is 💯 better!) because I was going through my James Marsters obsession - don’t judge me! I was an absolute wreck at the end. They say it can be cathartic to have a good cry. The jury is still out on that for me, lol. But it’s one of those books that stays with you forever.

I was excited and apprehensive when I first heard about Postscript, but in the end I couldn’t help but download this sampler. Cecelia Ahern is a great storyteller and she’s sucked me in once again. Just reading these four chapters has evoked all the same feelings. Yet, given the loss I’ve experienced this year, Holly’s story has taken on an altogether different hue. What I’d give for one more word...

I’ll be sure to have my Postscript reader’s survivor kit all sorted for release: industrial supply of tissues, big girl panties and eye masks (for the crying jags) along with confectionary of my choice!

Bring it on!
