this from the premise had me hooked, it was interesting to read and I actually enjoyed the mystery elements. The characters were great and I had a good time reading.

Pretty long but pretty engaging. I thought the premise sounded really interesting, and it was. The author does a good job of keeping the plot interesting and unpredictable. It also felt quite realistic. I'll have to check out the author's other novel.

Thanks very much for the review copy!!

An apparent outbreak of rabies leads our intrepid team of veterinarians, neurologists and a Lakota Indian into a chase of their lives. The wolf that carried the virus originated a thousand miles away, the rabies strain was engineered, then enter Nazis whose aim is to raise the Fourth Reich and take over the world by using their powerful new bio-weapon. All very far-fetched but that's a novel for you. Certainly ramps up the suspense even when beyond belief. The characters were an eclectic mix and I could have done with less of the religion although found the shamanistic revelations of the Lakota far more acceptable for some unknown reason. Guess I felt that the Christian aspects felt rather more forced. The huge amounts of travelling from North America to Europe to South America with no indication of jet lag took a hit from me too even if the characters are super heroes/heroine. Their dialogue often felt stilted as well and, at times, rather formal especially given their obvious established and long term friendships. The really annoying thing though was the large numbers of spelling errors and typos which, at times certainly, broke the thread. of the story. Loose/Loosing nearly always should have been lose/losing, where for were, they're/there and the like. As the book was published in July 2019 these should have been picked up by a good editor. Thanks to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for an advance copy in exchange for my honest review.

What starts as an accidental wolf attack in a mall turns out to be an outbreak of rabies. A unique strain of rabies that spreads through air, water or touch. As panic grips parts of the USA, a pharmaceutical company creates a cure. A cure that is going to create more havoc than rabies.

The CDC trained veterinarian trio - Tom, Kate and Brad are assigned this case. Lakota Sioux Indian, Joseph, and French Investigators from the famous Pasteur Institute - Jean and Jules are called in too. The six are now off on a chase of a lifetime to stop the disease from spreading before it is too late.

The story is absolutely fantabulous! The characters are likeable. The suspense is well-maintained until the end. I recommend you to read book #1 before starting with this one. Though this can be read as a standalone, it is better to start from book #1 so that you will have a brief idea of the plot)

A highly recommended series!
