A modern day adult Cinderella story to enjoy during a lazy day of reading! She's just a regular girl try to get ahead in the world and he's a country music superstar, the rest is the ups and downs of falling in love with anyone living in a glass bubble. The story is well written and the characters are well fleshed out to evoke even more reaction to the story line. Add in excellent wit and humor to make for the perfect entertaining read! I'm intrigued to read more from this author as I quite like the characters she creates and the witty banter that ensues.

Oh, I loved this one! Kiki and Tatum - two people with totally different lives - who end up falling for each other.
This book had all the feels, with some humour, as well. I loved Kiki's inner dialogue, made me laugh a lot.
A sweet romance, leaving you feeling all warm and fuzzy! Can't wait to read Sarah and Lex's story next.

This is the first book by Sophie Sinclair that I have had the pleasure to have read, and am now furiously searching for more...
I have never been exposed to the world of country music and I found it fascinating, looked up all the songs and really had fun getting into the story of Kiki and her exploits, I laughed and chuckled my way along, I enjoyed the pretty steamy sex scenes, all in all, it was so relatable, I could totally see myself in her shoes.
It was very well written and the plot was well-thought out., this lady knows her way around the alphabet :)
so a super five stars from me.

Wow, I loved this story between Kiki, stylist, and Tatum, country music star. Watching them unexpectedly falling in love with each other was so sweet to watch and I found myself smiling as if I was watching real life friends come together. Although the story was predictable, their chemistry was fantastic and the last quarter of the book took me through so many emotions, I couldn’t put it down! I loved the background characters and I’m so excited to read more stories in this universe. It was like a grown-up version of When It’s Real and You’d Be Mine.

Overall - I did not enjoy this book at all and was really surprised by the glowing reviews it has all over the internet.

This followed the same stereotype/cliche every "regular girl meets celebrity" romance book does and I was not impressed. This one wasn't even executed well!

The characters were over the top, not believable and completely ridiculous. The plot and characters weren't realistic or relatable so it was a total loss for me. I didn't find any of the characters or stories compelling and wish I wouldn't have pushed myself to finish the book - maybe that sounds harsh but I'm sorry? I mean the characters fatal flaw is that they can't even communicate with each other? I don't know.

I know loads of you loved this - and that's great. This was not for me.

For me, this was only an OK read since I like my h’s to be emotionally stronger characters. Maybe because of her age, but Kiki’s lack of self confidence got to be annoying for me. Most of the angst came from Kiki’s insecurities. Tatum was an extremely patient and understanding H. Great secondary characters although sister Brooke was a bit over the top. Love the cover.

I loved this book! Kiki, a totally normal girl, starts working as a stylist assistant for Tatum, a country music super star. I love country music and as a girl from the south, love all the Nashville scenes. There are so many laugh out loud scenes in this book! It’s a heart warming story with fun loving characters that you shouldn’t miss!
Thanks Netgally and publishing house for the free copy.

This book was recommended by a friend, who said I would love it, she was right. This is a quick read with great banter. Kiki has some bad luck in the dating and job department. Enter new boss and country star Tatum. Even with the obvious sparks, a few misunderstandings Kiki still gives him a run for his money. Kiki’s character was well written sassy and strong, and everyone needs a TJ, just don’t let him set you up on a date!

Thanks to Netgalley for the arc of this book on exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this story of a down on her luck girl that lands a job being a stylist with a country musician. I liked the characters and the story was engaging. This was a nice quick read for me.

This book is BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN!! There were several moments when I wanted to smack Kiki upside the head, but love can make even the smartest among us into idiots at times, and I couldn’t fault her for those moments. I also loved Sophie’s writing.
My Rating: 4/5 stars

What can I say about this book? It involves some of my most favorite things- coffee, country music, a man that knows what he wants, and a girl that is willing to give him a run for his money.

Kiki Forbes is the girl that you want on your side through life. She has her moments of uncertainty and/or doubt, but who doesn't?! And she consistently redeems her shortcomings with the most genuine love of her family and friends, always looking to find the best in the situation.

Tatum Reed, although a bit moody and broody at first, is the All-American boy that drives all the ladies wild. He's got the voice, the moves, and the heart to charm them all. But he's gonna have to work extra hard to convince Kiki it's not just all fun and games, and his intentions are real.

For this being Sophie's debut novel, I have to say GOOD LAWD, thank you and keep 'em coming!!

I had heard great things about Coffee Girl and was excited to read it. I’m not sure how much my high expectations had to do with the fact that I ultimately didn’t like the book very much. I think this one will definitely appeal to fans of the super-popular, Happy Ever After Playlist (another book that didn’t live up to the hype for me, just to sort of give some perspective on my taste). I even think the way the conflict was handled in Coffee Girl was a little better. Kiki left instead of Tatum making some macho decision for her and forcing her to leave “for her own good.” I much prefer the female character being given a voice.

Other things I like about the book: I thought Kiki was funny. I enjoyed some of her inner monologues. I liked the friendships depicted in the book, even if I do think that Kiki’s friendship with Sarah had a little too much insta-love to make it really believable. But I liked that she had a strong female alley and I liked her (albeit stereotypical) gay best friend. I also liked the friendships between the band members.

Things I didn’t like so much: A big pet peeve of mine is not understanding why characters in a romance like each other outside of physical attraction, and I didn’t understand it at all in this book. Tatum kept saying Kiki was smart, but I saw no evidence of that in the book. I just didn’t really care whether or not they were together. The writing was repetitive. Kiki “breathed in his woodsy scent” a lot and many kisses were “deepened.” The sex scenes also felt like they were cut and pasted. Kiki’s relationship with her sister felt completely unbelievable. I couldn’t buy that a person that clueless exists in the world. And there were a lot of one-note villains in this book. Maddy and Savannah could have both used a little more nuance. Finally, there was a lot of manufactured conflict.

All of that said, I do think people who like this type of romance will enjoy reading this one. I’m just not the target audience.

This book was so fun! Very lighthearted, which is SOOO needed in times like right now (am I right?). Fu. Lighthearted but VERY steamy! I binged this in about 5 hours flat, lol. Put my baby to sleep and dove in. I didn’t even regret it when I woke up with only 3 hours of sleep. It’s that good! Man I needed this book!

This is my first Sophie Sinclair book, but it won't be my last. In fact, I've already downloaded book 2 (The Makeup Artist) and I'm about to dive into it.

I really enjoyed this story as can be evidenced by the fact that I read it all in one sitting. This is the story of Tatum and Kiki. Tatum is this year's hottest country star and Kiki has just been named his assistant to his stylist (after losing her 5 year stylist job at a men's magazine). The first time he ever sees Kiki, she is holding a tray full of coffees and she has coffee spilled all over her shirt and her shoes. Tatum doesn't know her name so he affectionately calls her "Coffee Girl".

Fast forward a few days when she finally meets Tatum for the first time and she is stunned to see it is the same guy who commented on her carrying the coffee. She is not a country fan so she had no idea who he was or what he looked like before she met him. But to say she is intrigued with him is an understatement. The chemistry between them is off the charts. But can they really make a go of this relationship? They are from two different worlds - hers is normal and his is rock-star status; he has women throwing themselves at him all day long; he just broke up with his multi-year rockstar girlfriend, etc. This is a fun and sweet story and I can't wait to read book 2 about her friend, Sarah.

I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. The opinions stated above are mine without biases.

I started reading Coffee Girl when I saw it (and The Makeup Artist) posted on Instagram. Someone said that they were available to "read now" on NetGalley, so I thought I'd give them a try.

I'll be honest; I didn't like it at first. The dialogue started out a little young for me, and I wondered if maybe my daughter should be reading the book instead of me. I think this was a personal issue though. But...as I continued with the story, I got lost in Kiki's personality. I enjoyed her nervous banter and watching her get flustered. I think that's something we're all guilty of at times. I also loved the scene when she mixed up her text messages and sent something to Tatum that was meant for TJ (her best friend.) Hysterical! We've all either done the same thing or are afraid we will!

The flirty banter between Tatum and Kiki was another plus. I'm a sucker for funny and/or sarcastic banter. She also wrote great secondary characters. I actually heard Lex's Irish accent in my head as I was reading and TJ jumped off the page, though a little irritating at times.

Overall, I really liked it and have already started the second in the series! A quick, fun read for sure!

MINI REVIEW:
Let me start by saying I liked it. But I didn’t love it. It was cute and fun but a little predictable. There were parts I enjoyed- the Bluebird for example, and parts I didn’t- the whole bit with her crazy sister- I feel was unnecessary. I just wanted more romance. More depth. I couldn’t connect. Still, a quick read. A cute story with some sexy steam- so definitely check it out if this sounds like your type of story! I am curious to see Lex and Sarahs story play out!

5/5 Ultimate Sass!
Would actually give a million stars!
🔥🔥🔥🔥/5 stream
Opening door sexy time scenes but I’m always here for the door wide open romances 😂

I picked up this book at the urging in an erratic way from a ton of bookish friends - so I picked this up to make them leave me alone 🥰😘

I am beyond glad I did.
This👏🏻book👏🏻is👏🏻everything👏🏻.

I am so in love with this book, come on open up your hands because I will push it into your hands. Must read.

Kiki and Tatum ❤️❤️

Every character in this book are developed so well that I want a love story for so many of them!! Let’s start with Kiki’s and her best friend TJ. Their sass and banter towards each other had me cackling pages into this book.

Then get introduced to Kiki’s sister, a celebrity Instagrammer who doesn’t actually have that perfect insta-life and then too her amazing brother Cam. I hope we get a Cam story!!! Kiki is needing a fresh start after being laid off In the fashion industry and helps gets Kiki a job as a fashion assistant on a country musicians tour - que Tatum.

Alright ladies - <fanning self think of Tatum> you know that cliché saying ‘ save a horse ride a cowboy?’ Boy does this ever apply in this instance. Ooooooo Tatum I ship you real hard... anywho..... Tatum and Kiki do their thing and have an whirlwind romance. Beyond amazing and relatable!

Kiki has an amazing moment with her tour bestie Sarah ( the makeup artist) in which Sarah gives Kiki the biggest pep talk about not comparing her self to these other ‘perfect’ women that were in Tatum‘s life. This part had me in tears - Kiki has always had guy friends and I totally empathize with that- guy friendships have always been so much easier for me. How many of you have compared yourself to another woman or had a woman take you down when we should be lifting each other up? Unfortunately, I can account for that happening way too often to me.

Why are you still reading my raving review and why haven’t you bought/or borrowed (kindle unlimited) this book? I have already bought both books in this series and sent to a good friend bc I am a book dealer and this ‘drug’ is going to make me a lot of ‘money’ in my makes the best book recommendations expertise.

My thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a free ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Very well written. Many of the usual tropes but there has been an attempt to be more original with this material. For fans of rock star romances, this one's for you! I rate this one a 3.8 out of 5.
