I really wanted to love this book, the premise had me interested right away but I almost didn't finish it multiple times. It takes a long time to get into it and the dynamics between the characters and their story arcs didn't hold my interest throughout, either.

Sadly this book just was not for me. This sat on my kindle for quite some time - twice I have attempted to read and twice I did not finish.

Thankyou for the opportunity but I will not be providing feedback on any commercial sites for this book.

The House that Fell from the Sky by Patrick R. Delaney is a captivating and eerie novel that explores themes of loss, grief, and the unknown. Scarlett Vantassel's return home is met with a mysterious and sinister occurrence - a house falls from the sky, drawing national attention and sparking the curiosity of her childhood friend Hannah. Hannah becomes obsessed with the house's potential to connect her with her recently deceased mother, despite warnings from her friends that the house may be dangerous.

Delaney does an excellent job of building suspense throughout the novel. As Scarlett, her brother Tommy, and their friend Jackson attempt to navigate the increasingly bizarre and dangerous events surrounding the house, the tension mounts and the stakes become higher. The idea of a house falling from the sky is a surreal and intriguing concept, and Delaney creates a vivid and unsettling image of the house as it looms over the city.

The characters in the novel are well-developed, and their relationships are complex and believable. Scarlett is a relatable protagonist, struggling to find her place in the world and reconnect with her past. Hannah's grief and desperation are palpable, and her obsession with the house is both understandable and concerning. Tommy and Jackson provide much-needed support for Scarlett and add depth to the story.

The House that Fell from the Sky is a thought-provoking novel that will keep you guessing until the very end. Delaney skillfully weaves together themes of loss, grief, and the unknown into a gripping and unsettling tale. The ending is satisfying, tying up loose ends while leaving some questions unanswered. Overall, I highly recommend The House that Fell from the Sky to anyone looking for a unique and haunting read.

Did not finish it. I did read it until 10% but it was very receptive and inner monologue just wasn't connecting to me.

The House That Fell From the Sky follows the story of a young girl, moving back home and dealing with break-ups, depression and big life changes when a mysterious house suddenly appears in the middle of a street.
The book was wicked interesting and creepy but it took me forever to read and get into. It was a great story, with interesting characters and a ton of good back-building, but it did read a little slow for me. All in all, a good story, but be prepared to not get into the meat of the story until half way through the book!

An enjoyable read, full of twists and mystery. A little slow to start but as the novel progressed, it became more intriguing and I engaged more with the plot.

This one took me quite awhile to pick up, and unfortunately it really just wasn’t for me. The characters were not very likable and at 550+ pages, I just felt that the whole story dragged much, much longer than it should have.

The House that Fell from the Sky by Patrick Delaney is a whirlwind of a novel. I'm not sure how much of a horror novel I would call this, but it certainly sends some chills through you at times. There's a lot of exposition in this story, though, that didn't necessarily need to be there. Actions can speak louder sometimes, and often take up less page space. That said, it's a solid novel with good characterization, intriguing plot points, and a terrifying house.

For a novel that was advertised as a horror novel, I never felt particularly intrigued or scared. Many of the characters acted like they were half their age and it made me want to throw the book across the room. The premise was tried and worn out, but I wanted to give it a try to see if the author was able to pull something special off but I just didn't get that feeling. It was slow and the characters felt flat instead of properly flushed out, had there been more of a connection there, I think it would have been a better read. I would recommend this for someone looking for a good haunted house story that will freak them out, but won't be enough to have them crying.

Unfortunately, I didn't love this. I couldn't bring myself to finish it either. The premise was very intriguing but it seemed to go on forever without even getting to investigate the house. The characters seemed to be in their late teens but we were supposed to believe they were nearly thirty. I kept putting this down and then picking it up hoping to get sucked into this world, but I just couldn't. I found it interesting that Scarlett was a youtuber but kind of tacky that she went by Scar sometimes and her scars were brought up a lot. The cover is awesome....I just wish I could have gotten into this one.

The vibes were 100% there, I just ultimately didn’t connect to the story or characters as much as I would have liked to.

I was left feeling very disappointed by this book. I kept hoping I would enjoy it as I got more into the story. However I felt this was to far fetched and ended up not finishing.

So a mysterious house suddenly appears out of no where and brings evil with it.
I really liked the overall plot of this book but the pacing was so slow that it felt like it took the scare factor out of it and left me feeling quite bored. In my belief the book didnt need to be as long as it was as the overall plot could have been told in 300 pages.
Thank you to Oblivion Publishing and Netgalley for providing me this ARC for review.

I went into this novel blind and left disappointed... this was way too far-fetched for me.
It was hard to keep reading but I did finish and by the end I was skimming just to get through the book.

Thank you Netgalley for the advance reader copy of The House that Fell from the Sky by Patrick Delaney in exchange for an honest review. This was a very unique way to tell a haunted house story. When I first started reading it, it felt like it was going to take on the War of the World's feeling, with the bright flashes and sounds, but it quickly changed directions and got a whole new feel. A good story to creep yourself out reading late at night. It really pulled me in and kept me wondering what was inside this house that just fell from the sky.
