I've always enjoyed reading Helen's full length novels, so I was excited to see I was approved for this on NetGalley. I should also say at this point that I obviously wasn't observant enough because only in writing this review have I seen that they are four novellas in one!

I did enjoy this novel, and it was nice to spend some time in a lovely local village with Hannah. For me though, this just wasn't as good as her previous novels, which is a massive shame to have to write! I felt like there were large chunks of Hannah's thoughts/her backstory that didn't quite add to the story in the way that I wanted them to.

This hasn't put me off reading further stories from Helen, and if I'd have been more diligent I probably wouldn't have requested it because of the novellas. And that's definitely not to say that others won't enjoy it! If you're looking for a sweet and light read, this is something you would probably love.

Simply amazing. Perfectly idyllic setting. I loved the multi generational friendships. Hannah’s story was anything but straight forward and my heart went out to her, her feelings for Liam were so pure. Her heart is so huge and it’s only Doctor Joe who can match it. I loved the attraction between then, but also how we only saw Hannah’s side until the ending when Joe tells us his story, which is just as heartbreakingly uplifting as Hannahs.
I enjoyed the idea of creating care packages to show how much you love and care for someone and in a place like Butterbury there will never be a shortage of people caring. I really enjoyed reading about Rhys too and I have my fingers crossed for another visit to Lantern square to read his and Millys story.
An unbelievable good feel read.

Well what a beautiful story filled with happiness, comedy and lovely characters. I read this sitting in my garden with a glass of wine and sped through it, wanting to finish tosomething enviable, brilliant location know what the outcome was going to be for Hannah.

It had everything all great chick lit should contain - a grumpy but attractive neighbour, an elderly grandpa figure giving advice, a new business venture that sounds enviable, brilliant descriptions of beautiful locations and ex-friends that are up to no good until it all comes right again in the end for the heroine.

I hadn't read anything by Helen Rolfe previously but I do enjoy authors such as Jenny Colgan, so this was a delight and I will be looking out for more in the future. I only give this 4 out of 5 stars as the concept of the book isn't hugely original and mind blowing, but it was cosy and lovely.

Many thanks to Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A great heartwarming and cozy novel set in the lovely village of Butterbury . Hannah moves to the village from the city after her relationship ends. Here she plans to concentrate on her business of creating care packages. However, past friendships don't always stay in the past and Hannah may need to learn that second chances don't always work.
I loved this village and Hannah's involvement in the community. Ironically I know a woman called Mrs Ledbetter, the nosy and bossy neighbour, and she is exactly like the book's Mrs Ledbetter. Overall a great read.

This was my favourite type of book - a heart-warming tale of friendship, romance and community spirit. I loved the village setting with its cast of colourful characters especially nosy neighbour Mrs Ledbetter. I also love a story about setting up or running a small business - in this involving bespoke gift boxes (or care packages) themed around the recipients favourite things.

It was originally four novellas, brought together for the first time. This meant the collected story took place over the course of the year so was totally realistic in terms of the romantic developments.

But, this was more about friendship than romance anyway and I particularly enjoyed the intergenerational friendship of Hannah and the residents of Butterbury Lodge, the village's care home.

Lovely, heart-warming escapsim but a nice read rather than just read.

A truly beautiful story. I loved every single character and really want to visit this quaint and friendly village. A little bit of Christmas is always a good idea....no matter what month you’re in!

A beautiful read about friendships of all sorts and ages. Lantern Square sounds a wonderful place to live in and heal your heart., and I'd definitely be up for moving into one of the cosy cottages if one becomes available!
Helen Rolfe has done it again in creating such a hug in a book, and I'd recommend this heartwarming story to anyone with a heart.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and it didn’t disappoint. A warm, cosy, heart felt and easy read. You can’t help but get drawn into the village life and see how important that a bustling ‘community’ is. A likeable and relatable MC and a real mix of secondary characters too. From busy body neighbours and a lush local doctor to nursing home rebels. The language used allows you to paint an image of this picturesque square. A joy to read and I can’t wait to read more by this author.

A beautiful and engaging story of loss, heartbreak, betrayal, friendship and love. But this is not just about romance, it expand to finding yourself and meaningful relationships.
The plot is set in a cute and cozy village of Butterbury where people believe in community building and looking after each other. Our protagonist Hannah seems to be fascinated by this small village and moves here. The plot revolves around her efforts of making a place for herself in this new community while she struggles to sort out things in her own life. The characters are well described and most of them are quite lovable (except few, and that I won’t tell. Read to find out yourself. :). I loved Hannah for her brave spirit and kindness. We would have been good friends, if she was real.

If you love books which are more than a love story and romance, this is for you. It would make a perfect read for winters.

Thank you NetGalley and Orion Publishing for an early review copy in exchange of an honest review.

A super sweet, slow burn, easy read romance. Perfect for autumn/winter seasons when you’re settling down in front of the fire and want something to fill your heart. Although I guessed part of the plot, but I’m not sure if it was meant to be something readers worked out themselves, there were still pleasant surprises throughout!

I’ve read two books by this author before, one of which was great, and one of which I didn’t enjoy as much. I decided to have one more go before giving up, and I’m glad I did.

This book was really enjoyable. It was relaxing to read, and there were lots of different likeable characters (as well as one I really disliked right from the start). All of them were well written and had their own stories going on. I loved Hannah, the way she was kind to everyone (except Joe!), and drew them out and got them involved in village life.

I really didn’t enjoy the plot with Georgia though, she’s just such an awful person, and I found it odd that Hannah forgave her so easily, and then took so long to twig to what she was now up to. But there have to be some difficulties in a book or there wouldn’t be any plot! I’m just not a fan of reading about toxic people.

The romance element of the book was a lovely slow burn. The epilogue was much appreciated - I particularly liked the progress that had been made in Hannah’s relationships with Joe and her mum. It tied up the story nicely, with a lovely happy ending.

I was given a free copy of this book, my opinions are my own.

Another brilliant book from Helen.
Hannah arrives in Lantern Square putting her past behind or so she thinks. Luke and Georgia try to worm their way back into Hannah’s life but will she let them. A great book about community spirit and friendship.

I'm a big fan of Helen Rolfe. I think she always gives us wonderful stories, locations and characters. This book doesn't disappoint at all.

I love the sense of community spirit and all the characters involved. Hannah is a great part of the community now and shes working hard to establish her small business. Shes a great character and we follow her journey through trials and tribulations.

Well written, with drama, laughter and tears. This book flows nicely having originally been a four novellas.

Highly recommended.

Another fabulous book by Helen.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading it and loved the characters and setting.

Hannah moves to Butterbury after her relationship ends and starts her life surrounded by new friends and her own business.

But it seems, that her past, which she’d left behind has come back into her life, and she’s left thinking whether she’s done right by letting them into her life again.

It seems she was right to think that as things start to go wrong in her business. She starts questioning whether she’s overworking and making mistakes, but realises that it’s not her but someone else that’s behind the mistakes.

Love reading books by Helen, always unputdownable and this was too.

Recommend it.
