"50 Adventures in the 50 States" is an exceptional book that takes you traveling across the United States through 50 unique and exciting adventures.
What I like about this book is the variety of activities it offers. From action activities like rafting in Colorado or climbing in California, to more relaxed experiences like watching dolphins in Florida or visiting an oysters farm in Washington.
What really stands out in this book is the way it combines adventures with an introduction to the nature, geography and history of each place. Each adventure is accompanied by information about the region, which helps readers to better understand the context of the activity.
In addition, the illustrations are simply beautiful, and help capture the beauty and diversity of American landscapes.
In conclusion, "50 Adventures in the 50 States" is an exceptional book that offers a unique combination of adventure and discovery. If you are looking for a way to connect with nature and explore America, this book is definitely an excellent choice.

Due to a sudden, unexpected passing in the family a few years ago and another more recently and my subsequent (mental) health issues stemming from that, I was unable to download this book in time to review it before it was archived as I did not visit this site for several years after the bereavements. This meant I didn't read or venture onto netgalley for years as not only did it remind me of that person as they shared my passion for reading, but I also struggled to maintain interest in anything due to overwhelming depression. I was therefore unable to download this title in time and so I couldn't give a review as it wasn't successfully acquired before it was archived. The second issue that has happened with some of my other books is that I had them downloaded to one particular device and said device is now defunct, so I have no access to those books anymore, sadly.

This means I can't leave an accurate reflection of my feelings towards the book as I am unable to read it now and so I am leaving a message of explanation instead. I am now back to reading and reviewing full time as once considerable time had passed I have found that books have been helping me significantly in terms of my mindset and mental health - this was after having no interest in anything for quite a number of years after the passings. Anything requested and approved will be read and a review written and posted to Amazon (where I am a Hall of Famer & Top Reviewer), Goodreads (where I have several thousand friends and the same amount who follow my reviews) and Waterstones (or Barnes & Noble if the publisher is American based). Thank you for the opportunity and apologies for the inconvenience.

I am a huge fan of road trips and adventures. I was so excited to pick this book up and it didn't disappoint.

There are so many great activities listed in this little book for the 50 states. It also has wonderful illustrations and maps.

I also enjoyed that not only does it list some activities it also has some interesting and educational facts about the various states and activities.

Perfect addition to the bookshelf for all those who seek adventure and love the history of out beautiful states.

As always, thank you to the publisher and netgalley for providing me a copy in exchange for an honest review

Great read for my kid. Used it as part of our pre-homeschool curriculum for geography. Great pictures and she seemed to enjoy it.

Great visuals for children to learn about a few things about each state. The main paragraph about a certain thing in the state with other sentences elsewhere on the page,

100% recommend for both road trip prep and just learning at home; especially in Covid times there are all kinds of at-home activities you could make around the information and activities in here. Personally, we're picking up a copy and saving it for those days when we can travel again.
Get kids excited about the country they live in and all the places they can see!

If you're looking for some vacation inspiration, or just letting your mind travel during lockdown, then this great book for kids is a great starting point. Each state gets its own section with an inspiring activity to do in the great outdoors. I started with my own state (California) and then spread out from there, living vicariously through the pages. Even though this is primarily aimed at younger readers, there's much to appreciate for all. Great illustrations and fun activities for all the family.

Live so far from the USA, I admit I don't know much. This book guide me, and show the highlights of each state. From the rocks and savanna, lakes, rivers, even swamps in the country, they make America so charming and enticing to explore.

Here you can eat french-like food, while there you got seafood. Here you can find the traces of Indians and there you can see the ranches. Here you can ice-skate in winter and skateboarding on summer. So fascinating!

We loved reading this book. My 10 year old absorbed the information on each page with fascination. He particularly liked the illustrations. He can now name all 50 states with fluency! Great for our USA project!

Visually diverse and beautiful! Now as someone personally from California, I was definitely not impressed with my state activity of surfing but all the other states were great. I have quite a few of the books in this series and this is a great edition to learn more about our states. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for my digital review copy.

50 Adventures in the 50 States by Kate Siber was an interesting book about fun activities to do in each state.

Each state layout had three main items: beautiful illustrations, a highlight of an activity, and fun information about the state. I have traveled to 48/50 states, and some of these activities I have never even heard of. Makes me want to go back to a few more of these states sooner rather than later.

My only issue with the book was that I found the little facts a little hard to read due to their size.

This would be a great gift for any kid or tween who would love to travel more. I also think this could inspire someone to travel because of the vast selection of activities.

I received an eARC from Quarto Publishing and Wide Eyed Editions through NetGalley. All opinions are 100% my own.

A very neat illustrated book to inspire young adventures and their parents to travel! Beautiful illustrations accompany a unique activity featured for each state. Some examples include: visiting an active volcano in Hawaii, exploring a shipwreck in North Carolina, and climbing up a frozen waterfall in Colorado. Descriptions for each activity/state are brief and give background to the activity and local area. My only complaint is that I wish this gave more background to the many wonders/sights in each US state. This book features bucket list types of adventures, some more physically challenging than others. This would be a wonderful starting point to decide on a vacation destination or simply pore over in fascination!

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC.

This was so much fun to read! I learned a lot from this, seeing as I have never gone to America. Now I have a better idea of what each state has to offer. I really want to go on a road trip through America now and do all these things. Sadly, corona prevents me from going. But I can dream!

I will absolutely be purchasing this book for my classroom! It is one of the best nonfiction books I have seen about the 50 States in awhile. I love the illustrations throughout this story. Each state's landscape is done brilliantly. It allows students to see the variety in our landscapes that we have in the United States. In addition, I like how all the activities highlight the wilderness and outside activities. It is unique and one that I think my students would adore reading!
