The Illustrations are very nice and beautiful.

I absolutely love books by Quarto Publishing Group. They have beautifully illustrated non-fiction books. I just want to buy all of them.
I loved this one, too. The adventures were very interesting, I have 50 new items in my bucket list :) The facts were interesting, too. But the illustrations were my favorite part, they were amazing.
I had a little contradiction with this book. This book was written for children, but most of the adventures are too dangerous for them. I can't imagine a child climbing ice waterfall.
This book was very nice, so I became interested in other books in this series

Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group Wide Eyed Editions for kindly providing me with a digital copy of this book for review.
This book is STUNNING! Absolutely stunning! Each page is shear delight and the artist and production team have done an outstanding job on this book. The book is pretty self explanatory- it goes through 50 states in America and gives examples of activities that can be enjoyed in those places. There’s also a little bit of history thrown in, and I was pleased to see that Native American Indian history has also been acknowledged as well. I have certainly added a few places to my want to visit bucket list. I’m also adding this book to my children’s Christmas list because they are fascinated to learn about different parts of the world and I think this book would be even more of a treat in physical form. A most definite win for me!

I really LOVED this book! It is fun for adults and kids. The pictures are gorgeous. This is perfect for an adventurous and curious child! I love the focus on the fifty states. The organization of one adventure and a bunch of small facts on each page make this an engaging book for all ages. I especially loved the last section about having adventures in your own neighborhood.

I love this series of books. I like the illustrations and the different facts provided. I liked how they highlighted places to adventure in each state in this book. A great book for young explorers and their families.

Thanks NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC!

The author of this children’s book beguilingly invites her readers to come and have some adventures. Starting with letter “A,” readers are invited to climb a giant boulder in Alabama, to walk on a glacier in Alaska, to horseback ride in Arizona and to kayak in Arkansas. From there it goes on to all of the states.

I found this to be an interesting and appealing title. Readers, whether or adults or children, will learn a lot as they enjoy both the text and illustrations in this book.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this title. All opinions are my own.

I received an advance copy of, 50 Adventures in the 50 States, by Kate Siber. This is a great book, the pictures are eye catching. There are fun facts, and adventures on the 50 states. I wish they had this book when I was a kid.

This book is GORGEOUS. I taught the 50 states for about 10 years as a 5th grade teacher and it was my absolute favorite part of teaching. I’m going to recommend this book to my former school. I love that it’s not just written in solid paragraphs. The colors and illustrations are so pretty. I love the place they selected for each state- and they’re not the typical tourist attraction! (Proud to say I partook on the adventure from my state of Pennsylvania.) It’s awesome the way there is small facts woven into the fabrics of the artwork. My students would have loved this. I always gave out one state per student and would have used this book to facilitate a writing assignment about their imaginary adventure at their state.

I am a big fan of books about travelling! So when I spotted this one on Netgalley I knew I would have to have it. Since I probably never can go to America (for many reasons), I take any book about it so I can still travel in a way. And this one promises some fun adventures and activities to do in each state.

This book is about the 50 states of America, each two page spread is about one of the states and an activity/adventure that you can do in that specific state with a GORGEOUS (yes, this needs to be in caps) illustration. I was definitely curious what the author picked for each state and what new fun activities and facts we would learn about said activity or said state. I loved the adventures chosen and wished many times while reading that I could step inside the book and participate in the activity, or see the nature for myself, or see those cute animals. I really love the choices for activities and things you can see. There are things that are for active people, there are things to just have fun on a boardwalk (apparently the oldest one), or just watch animals and stars. It is a nice varied bunch. There is something for everyone, though there are people like me who would do all of it (well, maybe not the climbing.. fear of heights).

I love how the book starts with a map and in each state is the page number where you can find that state. Very creative way to make a table of contents!

At the end we get 5 adventures one can do in your own neighbourhood! From pitching a tent in your backyard (or living room) to exploring the night sky (though good luck with that if you are in a city).

The art is absolutely gorgeous and I just love seeing each new page and I was eagerly looking forward to them. I definitely should see if the artist did any other work, because I want more.

All in all, a fabulous book filled with plenty of fun activities, gorgeous art, and curious facts! Recommended.

Each page has one of the states, in alphabetical order. I love the illustrations and colors, I thought they were beautiful. I love that each state includes a landmark to visit and what to do there. There are also fun facts about the wild life, history, nature, and events. This book would be great for not only kids but adults as well. I think this would be much more enjoyable in its physical form as I received a digital copy. This book gives great ideas and can help keep children and adults still dreaming.

Thanks so much to the publisher and to Netgalley for the advanced copy.

Kate Siber teams up with illustrator Lydia Hall to show kids all the adventures that can be had in the USA. Each state gets a 2 page spread with a paragraph about an outdoor adventure available in that state. The spread also has random facts and information laid over the illustration. This would be a great resource when students are learning about the 50 states. The illustrations are inviting, and the descriptions could convince you to go mountain climbing even though you are scared of heights.

My children loved this book. It is bright, colourful and brilliantly illustrated. It’s a beautiful book. Each of the states has a page dedicated to it, with little snippets of information included as well as an adventure you could go on there. Fabulous.

Fun book with beautiful illustrations. Each state focuses on one adventure activity, and then there are some related facts on the page. I wish there were more than one activity per state because it just felt kind of short. I don't think each state can be easily summed up in a single activity.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book is stunningly beautiful. It shows us 50 magnificent natural surroundings around the 50 states.

The drawings are gorgeous and the text is accessible to read for ages 5+.

Honestly, I would to reccomend it to anyone. Even if you don't plan on ever visiting the U.S., it still is a fun and enjoyable book.

Within the pages of this book we'll be able to take a trip to each state that makes up our great country! On each pages you'll find little facts about every state & suggestions of what you can do when you visit. It will have you wanting to pack up & take a drive to explore this amazing nation we call home. The perfect addition to any families library. I would absolutely buy a copy for our house!

This is a really fun book with fantastic graphics and information. Would highly recommend adding to a home library or US unit study, it would make a great gift for elementary aged kids. My 4 year old had a great time looking through the pages and talking about all of the different images. we'll definitely be adding it to our home library.

50 Adventures in the 50 States is a beautifully illustrated children's book about the 50 states of America.
Each state is presented as a two page spread and has a main focus of one activity you can do there. Around the pages there are facts and information about the state in condensed small sentence form.
This is a great book for children to help them discover more about the world and more about America.

Oh my goodness, how I love this book! An absolute delight in every way. Beautiful illustrations, wonderful adventures, terrific facts...entertaining as well as informative. I can see many bucket lists being made after exploring these gorgeous pages. I will, no doubt, be buying this one for my nieces and nephews for holiday gifts.

I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review. The opinions are entirely my own, and any quotes are taken from the ARC and may be different in the final published copy.

My children and I love road trips. To date, we have visited 46 states with only Wahington, Oregon, Alaska, and Hawaii to go. When I saw 50 Adventures in the 50 States by Kate Siber, I knew I needed to read it.

The book is full of colorful illustrations. Each two-page spread suggests an outdoor activity to do in each state as well as interesting facts about the activity or area.

Many of the activities can be done in other states, for example, biking or rock climbing. I would have liked if the activity was specific to each state, but the beautiful illustrations and facts make up for it. I was unaware of the activity in PA, whooshing down a natural waterfall, and added it to my to-do list for next summer.

The font is small on the ebook so I needed to enlarge it to read it more comfortably. Once enlarged, I had no problem reading the facts.

It is part of the 50 States series. Other titles include The 50 States, 50 Cities of the U.S.A., The 50 States: Activity Book, The 50 States: Fun Facts, 50 Trailblazers of the 50 States, and I Spy the 50 States.

This 200-word review will be published on Philomathinphila.com on 10/6/20.

Best children's US travel book that exists - and not just for children.

Having worked with kids as an ESL teacher abroad for some years, I always looked for a book just like this. I can honestly recommend 50 Adventures in the 50 States because it is:
- Beautifully illustrated, with every page fully covered with vivid illustrations.
- Perfect for teaching kids about the well-known and more hidden gems America has to offer
- Each state is equally exposed and well-rpresented (in an alphabetical order)
- Lots of room for ESL learners to describe the various sceneries and activities. I see endless possibilities for writing stories and holding discussions, e.g. "where would you like to go the most? What would you do on a trip in to this state?"

But to me, the most important quality of this gorgeous publication was my own emotional response to it. It instantly sent my imagination to each of the 50 states, and during the pandemic, this was a healthy dose of a much needed escapism. I would highly recommend this book to teachers and families.

*Thank you to the Publisher for a free advance copy of this book in exchnage for an honest review.

This was so much fun to read! I learned a lot from this, seeing as I have never gone to America. Now I have a better idea of what each state has to offer. I really want to go on a road trip through America now and do all these things. Sadly, corona prevents me from going. But I can dream!

50 Adventures in 50 States was an incredibly fun read! I loved learning about all the exciting things to do in each of the states and finding out something new about each one! The art is beautiful and really aesthetic to look at. I definitely recommend, it's suitable to everyone!

I will absolutely be purchasing this book for my classroom! It is one of the best nonfiction books I have seen about the 50 States in awhile. I love the illustrations throughout this story. Each state's landscape is done brilliantly. It allows students to see the variety in our landscapes that we have in the United States. In addition, I like how all the activities highlight the wilderness and outside activities. It is unique and one that I think my students would adore reading!

Visually diverse and beautiful! Now as someone personally from California, I was definitely not impressed with my state activity of surfing but all the other states were great. I have quite a few of the books in this series and this is a great edition to learn more about our states. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for my digital review copy.

50 Adventures in the 50 States by Kate Siber was an interesting book about fun activities to do in each state.

Each state layout had three main items: beautiful illustrations, a highlight of an activity, and fun information about the state. I have traveled to 48/50 states, and some of these activities I have never even heard of. Makes me want to go back to a few more of these states sooner rather than later.

My only issue with the book was that I found the little facts a little hard to read due to their size.

This would be a great gift for any kid or tween who would love to travel more. I also think this could inspire someone to travel because of the vast selection of activities.

I received an eARC from Quarto Publishing and Wide Eyed Editions through NetGalley. All opinions are 100% my own.

A very neat illustrated book to inspire young adventures and their parents to travel! Beautiful illustrations accompany a unique activity featured for each state. Some examples include: visiting an active volcano in Hawaii, exploring a shipwreck in North Carolina, and climbing up a frozen waterfall in Colorado. Descriptions for each activity/state are brief and give background to the activity and local area. My only complaint is that I wish this gave more background to the many wonders/sights in each US state. This book features bucket list types of adventures, some more physically challenging than others. This would be a wonderful starting point to decide on a vacation destination or simply pore over in fascination!

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC.
