This is a brilliant book.
My little boy is a bit young for how in-depth it is but he enjoyed asking questions about the pictures and what parts interested him.
The illustrations are great for each step of the description.
Would highly recommend if you have an inquisitive kid, this is a great book for them. Will definitely be purchasing when my boy is a bit older.

Wow this book is brilliant, from a simple stapler to an air conditioning unit, this book explains it all, perfect for those curious little minds who are are always asking, 'why?'

I will definitely be getting a copy of this so I can sit down with my son next time she asks me how something works!

While being a kid every one of us has always been curious to know how the things, the machines do work. And this book fulfils all the needs, it has the answer for each and every question.

The Everyday Workings of Machines by Steve Martin.

As the book title says, the book explains the working of simple machines like the toaster, thermometer and some complex machines like Car and Airplane. Working of all the machines is explained nicely. It has beautiful illustrations to represent the parts of the machine and also to explain its working. The language is simple and easy to understand.

I recommend this book to everyone who wishes to know how machines work.

Thanks to Netgalley and Quarto Publishing Group – Ivy Kids for e-ARC of the Book.

This book is fascinating! The explanations of how different machines work are really clear and accessible. The author doesn't shy away from explaining complex machines but makes them easy to understand. I particularly enjoyed the bit about barcodes!

What a fantastic book!
Perfect explanations as well as illustrations that explain how every day things work for example how a toilet flushes.
My daughter is too young to understand anything like this but without a doubt would purchase this when she is older.
