Very helpful book of practical, simple ways to change our self-talk from constant waves of negativity to a more positive mindset. You don’t have to do this practice with COFFEE. It’s more important to make a habit/ritual of it. Also includes research and science behind the power of changing the way we talk to ourselves.

Thanks to NetGalley, the author and publisher for an advanced reading copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I LOVE the idea of this book! I think spending 5 minutes a day to boost yourself and envision the life you dream is a very helpful and simple way of practicing mindfulness and self love!

The idea is this, as you are drinking your coffee, which is a habit that has already been created and solidified for most of us, you add in a cup of love. So from a list of affirmations that the author helps you to create, you say out loud beautiful statements about yourself, your body, and your hopes for the future.

Manifestation and energy attraction is a real thing. From doing EFT for so long, I've seen the power saying words OUT LOUD to yourself can have. It changes your limiting beliefs, energizes your soul and keeps you present.

The Coffee Self Talk book itself was fairly repetitive. I felt like I got the idea within a chapter or two and then really it's up to you how you want to incorporate coffee self talk into your day. That being said, for those just diving into the wellness journey, repetition is a good thing. It reinforces ideas, reminds us that change takes time, and meets us where we are at!

This book was like receiving a giant hug every day. I really really loved the tips and lifelong lessons in this book. I love having my morning coffee (or 5 or 6) and this was a perfect book to accompany me in my moments of silence and self-reflection.

The cover itself was appealing, and while some of the tips were repetitive, I really enjoyed the lessons and wrote down some things I learned in those 5 minutes each day.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC!

Nonfiction, Health, Mind & Body, Self-Help, Law of Attraction, Positive Thinking, Motivational

This book is based on the law of attraction. In the first part of the book, she suggests that readers write 15-20 positive statements during drinking coffee (or favorite beverage). She also discusses the importance of habit stacking and how by stacking them, you reinforce them. There is a list of benefits from using self-talk along with rules to follow. In the second part of the book are scripts to use as a springboard.

This is a great book for positive thinking. It is a unique way to change the way you think and attract positivity. If you like this subject, you would appreciate the tips found in the book.

Thank you Netgalley and Green Butterfly Publishing for this e-arc.

This book is about being the best you. Getting into a habit to being a better person. This book sets in a routineon how to do better and act better in life. It helps feel good about yourself and have a positve aspect on life. I love that it had a quote at the end of each chapter that makes you feel like you can conquer anything. This book reminded me of The Secret byRhonda Byrne because of the fact of the positiveness and bettering how you view life.

This was right up my alley as my family knows not to speak to me until I have my first coffee of the morning. This was an easy read and I have been trying this for a few weeks now. It does make me feel a bit better in this strange year.

It did make me feel a bit strange to start with, but I got over it.

I was given an advance copy by netgalley and the publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Coffee Self-Talk is a great book by Kristen Helmstetter. The title and the cover of the book inmediately appealed to me, because my morning coffee ritual in absolute silence is one of the best part of my day.

This book is about using this special time when you drink your favorite beverage to check on sigh your self and focus on positive things and have quite conversation with your self in your mind. This approach is different approach to the positive affirmations not while meditating but while drinking your coffee.

I think that this approach may resonate better with some readers and the easy conversation of this book may bring this message home.

Great book, even though for me some of the writing was becoming too repetitive.

A fun, lighthearted read that teaches you the basics of positive self-talk and positive affirmations you can do while you have your morning cup of joe.

Would recommend this book as a starting point for beginners or if you're having trouble understanding the concepts of positive self-talk and affirmations.

Book Review: Coffee Self-Talk by Kristen Helmstetter

This book was provided free of courtesy of Netgalley in return for an honest review.

This is a classic manifestation, self-help style book. In all honesty I enjoyed this book but not as much as I thought I would as it wasn't really anything new that I haven't read in this style of book before.

I feel that the general message of this book could have been condensed down into one or two chapters and be used to contribute to a book with many other manifestation techniques.

Much of this book felt as though it was repetitive and became difficult to not skip sections towards the end. You could also probably find a lot of the information through having a search through social media/ online as it seems to be a well-practiced manifestation technique.

Also some of the links in the book were broken for the Kindle version which also detracted from being able to refer to Kristen Helmstetter's website/blog as she refers to it at several points throughout the book.

This was a to-the-point simple book on self-talk and its impact on your life - from the everyday to the larger things. I did enjoy this and can easily see myself reaching for it when in need of a little pick-me-up!

Although I think a lot of what is in this book could be found on social media such as Instagram and Pinterest, I did genuinely enjoy reading it in this book. I don't think it'll be a mass market seller but I do think it will do well with certain types of buyers.

I've been on a journey to find a book that breaks things down in easy to understand language and Coffee Self-Talk is just that, for me!

Such a motivating read. Clocking in less than 200 pages, I thought I would fly through this book, but I wanted to read slowly so I could consume the information that Helmstetter was giving us. his is such a motivating read! I am so excited that this book gives you an attainable tool to help make your morning more productive and fulfilling. This book is the pep talk you are looking for - I've already told my friend who is a life coach about it and suggested she suggest this to all of her clients - she already added to cart and is going to start reading soon!

A very simple, yet effective book on how to undertake self-talk that goes on to help improving self-confidence. Perhaps nothing new in the book really, no great revelation, but it’s still nice to be reminded to talk nicely to yourself.

Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.

This was a great book to read in little chunks at the beginning of every day. I recently started a new job and it's important for me to have these mornings to myself and this was a great way to block out that time!

This is such a motivating read! Helmstetter gives you the tools you need to help make your morning more productive and fulfilling. As someone who has been in and out of the office during this time, I have had a hard time getting on a schedule because I usually have my morning coffee when I start my work day, but when I work from home, I really put her techniques to the test! This book feels like the equivalent of a pep talk before an interview. It's so rewarding, and I've already started posting sticky notes everywhere of mantras I've discovered during my coffee talk!

I love reading a book like this once a year. It's so nice to get some tricks and tips to help myself grow and be better than I was yesterday.

Coffee Self-talk is a way to transform your life by boosting your self-esteem, filling you with happiness, and helping you attract the magical life you dream of living. All of this in the time it takes you to drink your morning coffee.

This was quick but I enjoyed it. There are a lot tip and tricks anyone can sprinkle into your life. It was so uplifting just reading this book!

I have read a few self-help books since I was younger so some of the tips were repeats for me BUT it was a good reminder to be kinder to myself.

I tried this for the first time on Sunday. I wrote down some stuff. Brewed my coffee and took about 10 minutes to drink my coffee and read my list out loud. It did feel awkward at first, but by the time I was done reading my list a couple of times and finishing my coffee...I felt better. I smiled and then turned on some music to start getting dressed and ready to conquer the day. I ended up doing everything on my Sunday to-do list. Got all my running around done. Went shopping and my normal anxiety wasn't there. The busy and annoying people didn't bother me as much because I was happier and calm. It was nice.

Even if you do not do this every morning, its good to take just a few minutes to remind yourself of how awesome you are and to remind yourself you CAN conquer your day and your goals.

I'm not a morning person so starting my day by myself, with my coffee (or tea), and getting myself hyped on positive energy is perfect. I'm normally a cranky morning gal, but doing this really seemed to help.

Overall, some of the content is similar to other help books, but the concept of just self-talking while you drink your first drink of the day is awesome and totally manageable. I highly recommend checking this book out. I'll give this 5 stars.
