After reading these few pages I’m so excited for this book and can’t wait to find out her Side of the story...

I caught myself being very dissapointed at the end of the sampler. I could have read on and on, I was so deep in that story - I wished the sampler had been longer. Hopefully I'd get a change to read the whole book...
I love it when a book addresses the reader or, in this case, a character in the story; it involves you more in the story in my opinion.
A sampler is supposed to make you curious for the book - well, consider me hooked.
At first I thought the narrator was male and planned on killing the family. I can't say for sure whether or not that's actually going to happen, but I was surprised to learn the narrator was female. It didn't make the book bad; if all, I am even more curious now. The book definetly starts very promising and I am curious to figure out what the "story" is and how the narrator's perspective is looking.

This sampler made me want to read the book as I'm now intrigued to continue the story.

The extract is only five pages of text long but it caught my attention, right from the first page with the quote from When the Drummers Were Women. The story sounds chilling and creepy and I can't wait to read on and find out more!

The Push is Ashley Audrain's debut novel which looks at motherhood and obsession. This sample drew me in and intrigued me enough to pre order a copy of the book.

I wanted to read on. The sampler spiked my interest to read more. Looking forward to the book so I can learn more about the characters and hear 'her' side of the story.

This book has been top of my 2021 'to read' list for the last little while - I've heard such amazing things, and the description really sounded like my kind of book. And, thankfully, it's just as good as everyone has been saying.

The sampler gives a brief but chilling introduction to the novel that will have the reader hooked from the start of it until the end (and leave them wanting so much more). I can't wait to read it in full in January.

Ohh wow although it was a small snippet, I loved it and its making me more excited to read the rest! It makes me wonder what happened and why she needs to get her side across.

This sampler of this book had me gripped from page 1, as this was only a sampler of the book I only got to read a few pages of this book, but from what I read this book is amazing and I am now after the full book

I would give this book 4 out 5 stars

So intriguing! In just a few pages, this has me asking a lot of questions. An unusual voice and tone, but I get the sense it’ll be a perfect fit for what already feels like a mysterious book with a slightly sinister edge. Looking forward to reading more!

It looks really good. I would like to know why she is on the outside looking in. Quite mysterious and it had me drawn in, I was actually disappointed it was so short.

The sample I have just read gripped me so tightly and I need to read more of this book as I reckon it’s going to be a top read for 2021.
