Great recipes with fab ideas for tasty home cooked food. Perfect for busy families looking for some new and interesting ideas for dinner. I really liked how easy the recipes were to reproduce at home and how tasty the meals were. A brilliant buy!

In a flat which gets far too hot to use the oven for a lot of the summer months this book is a god send. I was in a hob rut just frying the same old things but not anymore!

Really useful and easy to follow recipes. I have been using this for a few weeks and I am pleased to say that I have added new recipes for my family to change the food menu (it was getting a little boring) love the fact that there is not only main meal recipes here.

I am now also following Amy on instragram and so will continue with this journey.

I was given an advance copy by netgalley and the publishers but the review is entirely my own.

A book filled with recipes cooked only on the hob!
I love this book; super simple instructions, easy to find ingredients, and you only need a pan or two. There is such a wide range of recipes, from speedy midweek meals to slow-cooked stews to desserts.

Overall, a great book filled with some inspiring ideas that I can't wait to try.

Hob by Amy Sheppard is about the multiple, simple and adaptable recipes to cook on hobs.

To make wonderfully tempting, delicious and satisfying meals from the simplest or limited of appliances available. Showing the adaptability if recipes to make this as simple as can be.

Good guidance for anyone young or old.

I like this book, thought there were some good, quick and easy suggestions and I’ve definitely got some new inspiration for lunches and dinners (which require minimal washing up!) I’m sure this cook book would work better in print too rather than on a kindle.

This is a brilliant book that I will highly recommend to students first living alone. It’s full of good ideas and a comprehensive explanation of why it’s needed. From stocking a pantry with the basics to meal planning and budgeting. The meals are simply to make and the instructions are easy to follow. The pictures help too. All in all great for student, someone just starting out or someone who likes to plan and budget meals for the week.

This was rather disappointing. I love a good cookery book but there really was nothing new or inspirational in this book.

Super book of recipes that I will certainly be trying out over the summer. Some amazing photographs if yummy food so I would suggest reading on a tablet.

An interesting concept. A good variety of fairly simple recipes. It could be useful for camping as there is so little washing up!

Really lovely, useful recipes. And so many of them. A few I wouldn't cook but for the most part they look wonderful and quite inspiring, cheats ways of cooking well known recipes quickly and with minimal fuss.

Thanks to netgalley and the publishers for this read
This is a great, well laid out cookbook.
T is ideal for someone like me who doesn't mind cooking but hates all the cleaning up after.
I have already picked out several recipes to try out on my family.

A great selections of quick and easy recipes for those who prefer cooking on the hob or don't have an oven. I am definitely going to cook my way through them!

Amy Sheppard wrote this book after finding herself with a broken oven and only the hob to cook her meals. The result is a lovely book with some great ideas for hob cooked recipes.

The book begins with some information about the kit needed and tips for meal planning before moving onto recipes separated into various categories. The recipes here are accessible and straightforward; there are several that have gone straight on my list to try out. One of the most important things for me that really makes a good cookbook, is the photographs, and Sheppard's book has one for each recipe - yay! I hate not knowing what my dish should look like. Half the appeal for me in choosing a recipe from a cookbook is seeing an (albeit perfected) version of it dished up and ready to go.

Great for families, couples and singles alike, this a great little cookbook with some great recipes.

I love the idea of a recipe book based solely on using the hob, which is probably the main way I cook. I was a bit disappointed with the range of recipes here - there are only two I actually fancy making (the chicken laksa and the potato and cauliflower biryani). There are a fair amount of meat based recipes, and a lot of the vegetarian ones involve cheese.

I imagine it would be great for novice/inexperienced cooks who are looking for quick, family friendly meals.

A very useful cookbook. Family friendly meals that can be cooked on the hob.
Well illustrated. A useful addition to my cookery book collection.
My thanks to Net galley, the publisher and the author for allowing me to read an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

The hob has been completely overlooked in recent years as we have embraced One Pan, Slow Cooker and Instant Pot cooking, so it is really refreshing to read a cooking book that reminds us all how quick and convenient the hob can be - and every kitchen has one already!!
Hob has recipes for all occasions and they are easy to follow with tasty looking photos.

Fall back in love with your Hob.

I was give a copy of Hob by NetGalley and the publishers in return for an unbiased review.

Overall I really appreciate this as a staple book in my kitchen! It includes very simple recipes and as promised, all cooked on the hob without the requirement of an extensive pantry as many other cookbooks call for. Some of these are already easy-to-make meals in my repertoire (albeit found by a quick Google) so I knew straight away those I hadn’t yet tried would be equally as good. I enjoy the layout and option of budget meals too, although I’d say the cost value of many dishes is affordable - another positive.

If you’re looking for something different and experimental, you won’t find it here but what you do get is wholesome and hearty food in recipes that are simple to follow and won’t break the bank,

Very wide range of recipes and I love that there’s pictures for every one! I like that there was a good range of veggie options too, I always struggle with that in cookbooks
