This is a very adorable story of the antics about a newly adopted pet.

The illustrations were beautiful and showed the emotions very well.

I felt that the story was too short. i wish that the author could shed light on how the dog adjusted to the home life later on.

My grandson and I have enjoyed reading Mia the Monster—-over and over again! The boy is 4 years old…and I am a bit older than that…and I look forward to the boy reading about Mia to me past my bedtime.

This was adorable and definitely cute. And perfectly perfect.

Seeing Mia go about everything was so damn cute and I loved it.

You should try it out if you want to gift it to someone who's below 3-5 maybe?

This was a cute story about what happens after a dog gets a bath. It is a great read for a younger population (I'd say preschool-first grade) and had a lot of fun imagery. A very cute read.

What an absolutely wonderful children's book! My grandkids and I loved it. Writing and illustrations are amazing. Cute, entertaining, whimsical, and easy to read. Most definitely recommend for an advanced reader.

I received an ebook from Netgalley & this is my voluntary, honest review.

Beautiful illustrations. My 5 year old and I laughed and laughed at all of Mia's expressions. Anybody that has given a dog a bath will be able to relate to this book--those memories will bring this story into your heart. Short and simple story. I received this ARC from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

I'm always looking for books that my son will like and that somewhat relate to his life and age. This book was perfect not only because Mia, the dog, behaves very similarly to our dog when he was a puppy, but also because our dog gets dirty as soon as he gets his bath. My son loved reading about another doggie that reminds him of ours. It's an easy boo to read for young children and an easy story to follow.

A cute story about a dog and her antics. I think that it’s a straightforward story, meant more to be engaging for kids than it is to teach a lesson or have a deeper meaning. Most people love dogs, most kids love dogs. It helps to keep young readers engaged. The illustrations were just OK compared to other children’s books of similar aims.

This one was not my favorite. I love the idea of Mia as a rescue dog, but painting her as an uncontrollable, destructive tornado seems unfair. Rescue dogs already get a bad reputation sometimes, and stories like this don't really help that image of an unpredictable, untrained pup.

This book reminds me of our family life when we got our puppy! Kids are going to love reading about the dog running around like crazy then getting dirty. The illustrations are cute and the story is funny.

Very well written and in a format similar to books I read in primary school. I downloaded this as I look after a dog called Mia and found that this was quite entertaining and fun.

Rating: 4/5 stars.

“Mia the Monster: Troublesome Tales of a Rescue Dog” by Jacqueline Ruth and illustrated by Beata Banach is an adorable story about the antics of a newly adopted pet. My rescue cat is named Mia and is also a troublemaker, so I related a lot to the book. The illustrations were beautiful and showed the emotions of the characters very well.

My only gripe was that the story felt too short. I flipped the last page, expecting a resolution with a lesson or moral, and there was none. I wish that the author had either shown how the dog adjusted to their home life, or made it clear that even if you are different or adopted, you are still loved by your family. I would recommend this book to young children who are animal lovers, especially those who have or are considering adopting a rescue animal.

A very short story about a shelter dog who didn't like to take a bath. I was not encouraged by the drawings or the story itself. Quite an average book dedicated to very young children.
