How the hell does she ,manage to do it every single time?? With every new book (I've read them all) I expect to be wowed that little bit less but each and every time Susan Lewis manages to come up with a new storyline in a new location and still blow me away.

An amazing tale that explores numerous at times hard hitting topics including murder, infidelity, betrayal and love.

Jessica is a lawyer that seems to have it all.. a successful career, devoted husband and two beautiful children.. but is everything really as it seems?

I won't go into too much detail so not to give spoilers but this is a storyline that starts with a bang and doesn't let up. Jessica (Jay) takes on the case of Edward Blake who is accused of murdering his wife. Jessica truly believes in his innocence but is Edward truly who he seems or good at playing games?

Whilst completely engrossed in her case Jay's husband drops a bombshell so now not only is she dealing with such a complex case, she also needs to deal with her own family drama. I loved reading just how the dynamics of her family life panned out.

Once again Susan Lewis brings the characters to life right in front of your eyes, the talent she has for this is second to none.

Full of twists and turns this is definitely more than your usual "whodunnit" . There is so much going on but it's so expertly written that it's easy to keep track and it flows seamlessly.

There's an old saying that suits this book perfectly... "oh what a tangled web we weave".

Jay is a defence lawyer called to a client accused of murdering his wife in their own home under strange circumstances. Right from the start Jay has a nagging feeling something is not quite right and believes her client Edward to be innocent.

Whilst battling her own problems at home created by her husband Tom’s infidelity, she sets on a mission to discover what she can about the mysterious deceased wife Vanessa and the double life that she led.

Susan Lewis does it again and brings out the best and worst out of all her characters. The story is well thought through and lined with enough hints and twist to keep you guessing the ending of the story. This is another fabulous book.

Really enjoyed this book, my first from Susan Lewis. Can’t wait to read more. Thankyou for this ARc copy 4 stars

I really enjoyed this book, while classified as a thriller I think it was much broader than that, a study of the human condition, trauma, love and loss.

A fantastic read, but I would suggest this wol dbe more for people who like their thriller with more depth.

Not read a Susan Lewis book in a while, and glad that I read this one. Great read that had me turning page after page and not able to put down.
Jay Wells is a successful lawyer when she gets new client, Edward Blake who is accused of murdering his wife.
The story goes into the past of Edwards and Nessa and gives some insight as to why Edward may have killed her.
Meanwhile Jay is looking for another person that could have murdered Nessa.
Jay's own life then starts to unravel with her marriage struggling after her husbands infidelity and more secrets coming out.
More and more answers enter Jays mind as she continues to defend Edward.
Great read.

All hail Susan Lewis, queen of fiction and one of the most amazing authors of our time. I say it after every book but this is most definitely my favourite book yet.

I have been completely pulled in and captivated by this wonderful gem. I have devoured page after page in less than 24 hours. I have loved this and my review may not show just how much.

This is different to any of the books I’ve read by Lewis, but the standard is there. This is a superb read filled with secrets, lies and betrayal. I love Jay, she is a strong and independent character who despite handling a murder case, she also has demons to battle in her personal life.

Ed is an interesting character from the beginning. I have been really unsure of my opinion on him. Tom however, I haven’t found likeable; possibly due to his previous behaviour.

This is a perfect pace, I have devoured this torn between wanting to savour every page and wanting to know where this was going. I definitely haven’t been disappointed. This is a wonderful read and definitely a favourite.

Lewis has transported me, I feel as though I’ve been watching this play out in front of me. I would love to see this on screen, I would be there for that one. This is a truly fantastic read, worthy of all the stars.

As an avid Susan Lewis reader I was keen to get this, however I’ve found myself a little disappointed
The main character didn’t grab me, I hated that she was written the way she was and it was just all too predictable and I felt the ending fell flat. Certainly not up to her usual standards.
I felt the way the characters were written was just too flat and everything they did was horribly predictable.
I’m finding it difficult to give feedback without giving away the plot
I hate giving Susan any less than 3 stars but on this occasion am struggling to give more

This is not helped by taking on a new client. Edward Blake. He has been charged with his wife's death. Murdered in an upstairs room while he watched telly.

Jay must discover what is happening in her personal life while trying to find out if Edward is innocent of his charges.
Will she get to the truth and with the truth tear her apart.?
This book certainly kept the pages turning.

The book is very gripping and suspenseful. Despite being a lengthy book, it really doesn’t not feel that way. The book is engaging and entertaining in a way you just want to read more and more of it

Jay is a fantastic character. I loved seeing how she deals with things, particularly her work and her relationship.
The twist at the end was a big one and I just wanted more! Roll on the next novel by this author

As usual in my reviews, I will not rehash the plot (you'll find plenty of reviews like that out there already!).

I've read several other titles by Susan Lewis and really enjoyed them. For me, this one was definitely a "mixed bag". I thought the plot was great, with several different strands going on - Jay's family, the murder, Edward's family - which made for an interesting read. The characters were well

What I did not like however was the way Jay behaved - I could not imagine that a high-profile lawyer would behave in such a fashion - so for me, that took it down a star from what would have otherwise been a 5-star rating.

However I'll happily read other titles by this author.

Another masterpiece from Susan Lewis. I loved it. So many characters who could have been guilty of murder while an innocent man languished in prison accused of the crime.
I love how the story give us insight into all the characters for us to make up our own minds as to ‘whodunnit’. It’s pacy and intriguing with the main character’s personal life falling apart around her as she battles to clear her client’s name.
I did struggle to decide who the murderer really was and what a twist at the end! Definitely one to read.

I have long been a fan of Susan Lewis and I grabbed the chance to read her latest novel with great enthusiasm and eagerness.

I Have Something to Tell You explores a variety of topics… murder, infidelity, love and trust to name a few. This is a remarkable tangled web of a story and I was thoroughly engrossed from the opening chapters. I loved being the fly on the wall in the successful lawyer, Jessica (Jay) Wells's family and watching their dramas and dynamics impacting Jay's professional life.

I just knew I would treasure this marvellous tale as Susan Lewis's writing style is wondrous. The story flows beautifully, the characters are colourful, well crafted and easy to root for and Jay's is one of many viewpoints here. Awash with secrets and untruths I Have Something to Tell You is a mightly enjoyable, extremely intriguing tale from start to finish. I'm looking forward to my next outing with this author.

An excellent story very well told. I was often not quite onboard with Jay’s actions and decisions but that’s what made the plot so interesting. It wasn’t a tense read so when the twists came they were all the more exciting and shocking.
I’m giving four stars only because of the poor development of the children’s characters who were almost incidental and not at all convincing.

This is (believe it or not) my first novel by Susan Lewis, I have always known of her as an author but just never read any - I am going to have to catch up though as if her other books are as good as this one then I am in trouble.

This was such a good read, really grabbed my attention and held it within the pages until the very last page. Such a twisty and emotional ride and I adored it.

We meet lawyer Jessica who is an in demand person and she is defending a horrific case - a man is accused of killing his wife and Jessica believes that he is in fact innocent and she can not help but get incredibly involved with the case. Then to top it all off she has a "loving" husband who recently cheated on Jessica. The premise of this book is that how do you keep a career that you are driven about and a family life where there are major issues - they do/will eventually impact on the other.

I love the characters in this novel and really felt for Jessica on her journey in this book. Great if you love a good thriller/domestic noir novel.

jay is asked to take on a murder case, to represent the arrested man, Edward Blake. he is charged with murdering his wife, evidence is against him but Jay likes him and feel he is protecting someone. More family members become involved in what becomes a complex case, with complex characters.

Then in the middle of all this case that she is defending, her husband has Something to Tell Her. What is it that will shake her world and make her doubt her whole marriage ?

The news he gives her is devastating, and it's as she is feeling vulnerable and trying to hold her job together that she starts to feel attraction to her client Edward.

A long read, but you will read it at a fast pace, it kept me guessing until the end!

I have read several of Susan Lewis’ other books but this is by far my favourite - what begins as ‘’just’ a crime thriller then adds an element of domestic drama and the two are blended very effectively to create an engaging read that had me gripped throughout.

Jessica (Jay) is a successful criminal lawyer whose latest case is defending a man accused of murdering his wife. She believes he is innocent and is working hard to prove it when a dramatic revelation from her husband sends her reeling and her personal life begins to impact on her professional life.

I enjoyed seeing how Jay worked on the case and this aspect felt very accurate. At the same time Lewis has created a well drawn cast of characters, flawed but believable and I liked Jay and how she dealt with everything she was faced with. The plot twists kept me guessing right till the book’s dramatic conclusion and it proved to be a book with more layers than I had originally expected.
