This is a sweet romance book. It is set over a year not just at Christmas. I really liked the characters. It was a lovely story

I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

Cozy festive romance which takes place over 12 months, from one Christmas to the next. Fairly predictable storyline but not too slushy 😀

3.5 stars

I love the books by Phillips Ashley, her writing style mixed with the multiple perspective and a great plot twist is everything one needs in a great book!

This was a pleasure to read, with a few twist and turns i didn't see coming. I really enjoyed that we got the story from multiple perspectives, so we know throughout exactly what everyone was thinking/feeling. I would definitely recommend.

I thoroughly enjoyed this heart warming Christmas book set in the wonderful Cornwall. It was delightful to read from the beginning and I was deeply invested in Bo and her happiness and journey.

There were enough side stories and substance to really make this a good read.

Would highly recommend this story. 5/5.

Really wish this on was for me. It's up my alley as I am a major Christmas/Holiday fan. Fan might even be an understatement. But I found the flow of this didn't make me want to keep coming back to the this book.

Gorgeous, festive, warm-hearted, chamring and full of love and friendship!
I have been reading Phillipa Ashley's books for years, she is one of my go-to authors whenever I want a happy, feel-good romance then I automatically reach for her books - and even more so when those books are set at Christmas which really is my Achilles heel.
I loved this one, the characters are so lovely, they go through a lot of emotion throughout the course of the story and I loved each step in their journey. I loved how we see Bo develop from a Christmas-hating, lonely young woman to one who embraces what's to come with the little help from good friends plus one of the most gorgeous settings.
This is just perfect for closing the door to the world, curling up with your fluffy socks and hot chocolate and just escaping the real world.

Another beautiful Christmas read from Phillipa Ashley. One of the main things that stand out in Ashleys's novels is that she likes to make it educational as well! In this book, we learn a lot about rock n roll dancing!. Bo Grayson had her heart broken last Christmas and despite what a fairground fortune teller says she doubts she will be finding love any time soon. To keep herself distracted when she isn't running her boat side cafe she is a rock and roll dancer at the local club. This book isn't just about romance, but about friendships and passions. A lovely festive read furnished with rock and roll classics!

As a reader of previous Phillips Ashley books and a lover of all things Christmas, I was delighted to be given the chance to read this book. It was nice to see previous characters and to follow their stories. This follows Bo through the year from one Christmas to another, with the ups and downs you would expect. You are drawn into Bo’s life and feel yourself wishing her well. Thoroughly enjoyed and up to the standard expected from Phillips.

Lovely feel good book to read. It was a joy to read. Lovely characters. Great plot. The book was charming. Very well written. I’d definitely recommend this book. Idyllic location that set the tone of the book to perfection. Perfect seasonal book to get you in the mood for the festive season.

his was the perfect escapism from the madness of Christmas prep! The only problem was that it was over too soon because I couldn't put it down.
I loved Bo's character; she was authentic and genuine and her budding relationship with Ran was cute

Thank you to Netgalley and Avon Books UK for this Advanced Readers Copy

This was a pure delightful and quintessentially British rom com just in time for the holiday season. It takes place back in Falford, Cornwall where we continue getting to know Bo, who was a minor character from the previous book An Endless Cornish Summer. She is a cafe and diner owner who takes part in a local rock n roll dancing troupe named “The Flingers.” Getting to know “The Flingers” was just as enjoyable as getting to know Bo and Ran during this book. A hodgepodge of characters in “The Flingers” was definitely a standout for me, including Bo’s older friend Angel who gets her very own interesting side storyline in this book. Boy if anyone in this book needs their own book next, it’s Angel, especially for all she had to put up with her work and love life!

The main character Bo was such a unique and and perfectly fleshed out character in her own right that we didn’t even need her end up with Ran, although this is a romance so I totally expected that would happen. Getting to see her grow in confidence throughout the story was so reassuring; it brought a universal element to the book as well (that you’re good enough on your own and you shouldn’t have to change yourself or what you want to fit someone else’s expectations).

My only negatives really are that it was a bit long in the tooth and some of the drama from Ran’s past in London felt at times unnecessary and distracted from Bo’s journey. In the end though, it all got tied in a nice little bow, so who am I to complain?!

I’m really looking forward to continue reading more from Phillipa Ashley in the near future!

P.S.: I totally guessed right who Madame Odette was in the end, no big deal!

Absolutely loved this book, Phillipa Ashley draws you in with her descriptive narrative, I love the characters and found myself hoping Bo finds her Prince Charming!
I’m so pleased Angel found her passion, and I’m glad the ones who made her life unhappy got their comeuppance!

I loved every second of the story it made me want to visit Cornwall again!

Loved reading a Christmas book in the middle of April! I can read Christmas books all year round.
I love the way Phillipa writes Christmas books. Full of Christmas spirit, love, friendship and a little heartache. Always come together beautifully in the end!
Thanks to netgalley and the publishers and the author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest opinion
