Millie the Monster was very small. Everyone grew around her while she stayed small. She got sad because e everyone else was big while she was small. She missed out on a lot of things being so small; wearing certain clothes, conversations she couldn’t hear and reaching things way above her head. One day after many many years she did get bigger and actually ended up missing being small. It was very touching story. It taught children compassion, love, understanding and empathy. I did not like the illustrations though. I thought they were very basic. Kids would like the story!

This feels just like the type of book I read as a child. It had passages that rhymed and characters who didn't believe in themselves. Very reminiscent of The Ugly Duckling turning into a beautiful swan. You always should appreciate what you are and what you look like because there's only one of you, and this book makes that message loud a clear. Kudos.

This was a cute book with great illustrations and I think kids will definitely love this and relate to it because they're small in a larger world too.

I read this book to my 4 years old daughter. She adored the book and we talked about growing up and how we all grow at different rates.

The colourful pictures complimented the story and helped depict the characters well. I’ll be reading this again to my daughter. A good children’s book.

Thank you to #netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to review this book.

This book is a wonderful example of a tender approach to something that matters - feeling less than. Millie the Monster is not very scary. She's small and young. Her peers make fun of her for all of her "shortcomings". However, Millie discovers that her height gives her special abilities to see things that others cannot. She embraces herself as she is, which is a much-needed message for all. The illustrations are gentle and appropriate for the story. You'll enjoy this as a gift or readaloud.

Millie the Monster is a mini monster. No matter what she tries or how hard she hopes, she never grows. When all her friends and family are so much bigger, Millie feels unimportant -- until a very small someone is exactly who is needed to save the day. Millie’s story is a great message for kids who are a little different, showing them that despite their differences, they are just right, and should love themselves just as they are. The story is told in rhyme with adorable pictures, and would be perfect for reading aloud at storytime. I love Millie, but I really wished that she stayed small and accepted her differences instead of becoming like everyone else.

I'm so grateful to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the opportunity to read and review Millie the Monster.

This book was quite pleasant. Millie is a little monster who just wants to be big and tall like her friends and family. But mom and dad keep telling her , her turn will come. Look for the good things in being small. This story rhymes really well, and the cadence flows nicely. It’s not perfect, but it works and is smooth on the tongue. The illustrations are adorable, and while they fell a little self published, it doesn’t matter, because of the fun one is having while reading it.

A cute little monster is the hero of this story. He finds himself small in the world of big humangus monsters. He still holds his willpower and heart firm and finally becomes what he longs to be. A cute little kids book.

We meet Millie the Monster, who is very friendly but unhappy with her short stature. The playful rhyme paints vivid word pictures of her trying to navigate her tiny problem and ultimately shows small children that being tiny is no cause for despair. The tone, pace, and illustrations are perfect for the target audience. I can see this book entertaining my daughter before bedtime, while waiting for doctor's appointments and the like for years to come.

Well illustrated children’s book that captures a child’s (monster’s) wish too get bigger. If your child is one of the smaller kids in his/her age group, he/she will undoubtably enjoy this book. My 5 year old enjoyed the ARC I received from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I think this might be one of my favourite little books for a 4-year-old. Millie wants to be a big monster like everyone else but then she discovers that she can do things that the big tall people can't because shes so small. Obviously, she eventually grows and is as big as everyone else.

A lovely little book about growing up and being patient. This is a lovely colourful book, it has lovely pictures, is rhyming and very enjoyable even as an adult!

This might be one of the cutest children's books ever written! The art style is absolutely adorable and since the story is written in rhymes, I think that children are going to love it. This book also shares such an important message that we all grow or change at our own pace and that there is nothing wrong with that. We should all love ourselves no matter what and also that good things will come to those who wait for them! I hope to read more about Millie's adventures someday! :)

Very cute book. Love the illustrations and my children found Millie adorable. They want Mom to get them a hard copy so that we can read it all the time.

As a short adult, this book is so very relatable as Millie is patronized, struggles with life when she can’t reach shelves or buy clothes that fit. Millie eventually realizes her worth, but the message gets a bit lost when she grows up to be “normal.” It’s a cute and fun rhyming book that I’d still pick up to read during story time.

Oh Millie! She's so small and worried about growing up. Enjoy it while you can kid. Millie is smaller than everyone and wants nothing more than to be a big monster. We follow her on a journey through time releasing it's okay to be small and to let things happen when they should. Love it. And loved the illustrations.

With cute pictures and a cute cover, I was interested in reading about Millie the Monster with my kids, In the end, I wasn't really sure what the moral of the story was.

What a delightful story! First, the rhyming prose made for easy flow and lyrical reading. The illustrations are adorable and brilliant in color. Not only is the book fun to read and view, it also has lessons to reinforce to our children. Lesson #1: You are you, and you are special. Lesson #2: Life is full of challenges. Lesson #3: We all have unique gifts.

I enjoyed this story tremendously and I loved the opportunity it provided to engage in thoughtful discussions with the little ones in my life. Millie was a lovable little monster and she fit right in with my lovable little monsters!

Many thanks to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for providing me the opportunity to read and review this book.
