I really enjoyed this book and I'm looking forward to reading ore from the author in the future as it was such a good read

Oh my goodness I could not put this book down. Talk about suspense! The author really knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat until the very last word

I’m not sure how I feel about this one still. I liked it while I was reading it but I found it very forgettable. I did really like the characters and the story line.

The setting is a countryside park and a group meet to have a trek. However, each seems to have their own secrets that they don't want disclosed to the rest of the group.

The plot for this thriller is engaging and keeps you guessing as to what will happen. The environment is well described and sets the scene.

A great book to read in the cold winter. The atmosphere in this book is eerie and claustrophobic. The story was slightly repetitive in places. I was a big fan of this book

I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

A group of friends on a winter hike and a murder to follow! Who did it? Sounds like a decent premise and a thriller just waiting to be devoured. I was excited to get a copy to read but I am not sure I would recommend this book as one of my top thriller picks of the year. Having said that I read it fairly quickly, was interested to see where it went to and overall enjoyed it. The setting of snow is a relentless backdrop to the story and a selection of rather questionable decisions makes for the unforeseen twists that appear. It has interesting characters, a consistent level of unease when things start going wrong and a well considered ending.

Action packed and tense, this is a gripping read that never lets up. I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to reading more from the author.

I lreally liked this book and particularly the way it was set out with a chapter for each of the characters and we got the story from each of their perspectives.

Lauren is the manager of a nature reserve and organises a monthly group to other nature reserves for people who are interested in wildlife and ornithology. This month the group have gathered at Lauren’s nature reserve for an overnight meet to spot a rare bird.

Each of the group members have something going on in the background and some of them have ulterior motives for being part of this group.

The overnight meet starts off well but quickly turns bad as a shot rings out and the rest of the group discover that Alec has been killed!

Is there someone else in the nature reserve with them or is the murderer one of the group?

The group split into two to try and get back to the safety of the visitor centre so that they can call the police. The journey back to the visitor centre is troublesome for both groups.

The story is full of twists and turns and as we find out more about each of the group I kept changing my mind about who the murderer was!

Sorry, not for me Was persuaded to read this by my lady wife, but it's certainly a genre not all that much to my liking. It is well written, and structured, though.

Thriller on top of thriller. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole way through it. So well written! Loved it.

Absolutely loved this book. Set in winter I enjoyed reading it snuggled up with the fire on. It was very well written and flowed well. Lots of twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your chair wondering what’s going to happen next

I haven't read anything by this author before, but I did enjoy this one. Book is set at a nature reserve where seven friends go bird watching. One is shot, which makes the other 6 the automatic suspects. This was a thrilling read, will read more in future.

Another new author. Fabulous! This was a great read. It took lots of different people’s perspectives and left you guessing about who the murderer was in the cleverest way. I’ve already ordered her other books.

Thrillinf and exciting from the word go! I absolutely loved this book and have already recommended it to lots of others!

I really didn't connect with this book and often found myself lost (and not the good kind of lost in a book). I honestly couldn't tell you what happened in this book (to be fair, it's not a super fresh read as I took a break and haven't updated my netgalley, but my notes just say I was lost and didn't really get it so..)

Great paced thriller. There were times when I was saying don't do that, don't do this and I actually felt cold when the snow came. Just goes to show people aren't what they seem.

I thought I would really like this book but I found it to be just ok. The characters are a bit one dimensional and some come across as very immature. Other then that the story moved very slowly and I found myself skimming the pages.

I’ve started to read this one a few times, but struggled to get into the story. It’s a not for me but am sure others will love it.

I was sadly not a big fan of this one. It was a little overwhelming with so many characters to take in. I wish were eased a bit more into intros of everyone, but aside from that the story was just okay for me. I always love Nell's writing style, but this book just really fell short for me.
