Eight years after Amy and Joel spent the most perfect week on their honeymoon in the Maldives they are back. Trying to recreate the magic of the island, just with different partners.

When they discover they are all on the small island together a week of tricks and one-upmanship ensues.

I always enjoy reading Nick’s novels and this was no exception.

A tale that had me laughing out loud! The author’s writing made me actually feel I was actually on the island and the characters were very entertaining. Would recommend!

I originally went into this book thinking that this was going to be a cute second chance romance. However, this was the immature tail of two people who used to be married and end up taking their new significant others with them back to the place they honeymooned (already so weird). and it just gets weirder as they try to make eachother jealous. Overall, the story and writing was well done, just not what I was looking for in a romance novel.

A fun little chick lit book that I just couldn’t put down ~ the ultimate in escapism!

What if you just couldn’t escape your ex…….

It took me a while to get into this book but once the book picked my goodness i couldn't put it down. Such an amusing yet beautiful read to curl up to and the title really suits the story but you'll have to read to find out more

AS with any book with a plot that consists of romance and revenge the reader knows from the start of the book that all is not what it seems when it comes to the arguement which broke up the exes (our main characters) in this book. There are elements of humour throughout and the end did come with a subtle plot twist that was a slow burn. But, I wouldn't recommend it as a brilliant new romance or a comedy as it seemed as though there needed to be more to the story than a series of pranks and misjudged actions. The book seemed to be confused by this cross-genre "rom-com" as to whether it should fit into only one and not spread itself wholesomely across this sub-genre that has allowed amazing books like 'One night only' by Catherine Walsh and 'The Secret Bridesmaid' by Katy Birchall.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from #netgalley , thank you. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

A funny tale of ex's turned enemies turned allies! Loved the setting and the way the story was laid out and found it to be a great book to read on vacation.

Oh goodness. This delightful tale of two exes who believe the other has done them so wrong end up at the same airport. At the same time. On the same flight. To the same vacation destination 🤯 it’s been two years and they both are still bitter towards the other. But. Both have moved on. When they discover they have rooms next to each other. Same events planned. Hilarity ensues. Come along with Amy and Joel as they try to have a good time with their significant others while trying to avoid and not seethe or kill the other. #youagain #nickspalding #amazonpublishinguk #netgalley #bookstagrammer #readersofig #destinationvacation #maldives #divorce #hilarious

I loved this laugh out loud funny book!

Joel and Amy were married for four years but eventually their marriage ended and ended badly. They both have new relationships and find themselves on the same trip to the Maldives where they had spent their honeymoon with each other.

They keep running into each other during the week of their vacation, because of being on a small island and this results in some hilarious events.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it had me looking up the author, who, I'd never read before. Highly recommend!

I thought this story was ok. I was not wowed by it and I found the male character to be exceedingly annoying. The writing was done well, but I did not connect with the story in any way.

This book has a great premises however it fail to follow through. I stopped at 25%. Two exes end up taking a vacation to the same place they went on their honeymoon with new partners except they keep bumping into each other. DNF

I like that Nick Spalding doesn't write cookie cutter books. His plots are unique in their detail and for that they are entertaining. What I'm not as keen on is the hyperbole in how his characters behave. Things are just a little over the top for my taste where once in a while, is fine, but I have been sensing a pattern of this with his more recent books.

This book had a few examples where the over the top actions of his characters made them less likeable and detracted from my overall enjoyment of the book.

What I did enjoy was the growth the main characters had in themselves. I liked the scenario they were in, I enjoyed that the story was told from both perspectives and I enjoyed the setting (who doesn't want to read about a paradise like the Maldives?). It had some really great elements but at times pushed things a little far.

I usually love rom-come but I wasn’t a huge fan of this book. The characters weren’t very likable and I wasn’t really rooting for any of them until the end of the book.

Nick Spalding's You Again? is rather a breath of fresh air. Thank you so much to Lake Union Publishing, Mr. Spalding, and NetGalley for making an advanced reader copy available for review, and many, MANY apologies for the delay. I won't bore you with the tragedy that is my life right now, because you just want to know if you should read this book. You absolutely should. There's something so very refreshing about thinking a book is going to end one way and being pleasantly surprised by an ending that is wholly unexpected. Couple that with characters who, even while at odds with one another still end up being completely relatable and endearing, and you've got a great beach read on your hands. Spalding's wit and humor turn what could have been a series of unfortunate events into a hilarious comedy of errors. Aside from the tiniesty bit of poo humor, which really isn't for me (see my review of Logging Off), this story and the wild hijinks that must happen when two exes find themselves in the same place at the same time. Another great book from Nick Spalding. Sir, keep doing what you're doing, and I'll keep reading.

What a quirky read!
A better title for this book would have been What are the chances?
As throughout this entire book that could be said. While this book started out kind of slow and actually annoying because of the two main protagonists, as I read on it became very interesting and bittersweet. All in all a good read.

Amy and Joel’s honeymoon in the Maldives was the perfect week of love, sun, sex and a free minibar…but unfortunately, it was also the high point of a marriage that quickly descended into an absolute disaster zone. Eight years on, they’re back in paradise, trying to recreate the magic with new partners. What a crying shame they’ve picked the same week to do it…

This is a light-hearted, easy read that makes you laugh and cringe all at the same time. This is the perfect type of book for sitting in a bath with a glass of wine or sat reading on a beach or pool. This is a first for me by the author and one I enjoyed and would read more of their work. The book cover is eye-catching and appealing and would spark my interest if in a bookshop. Thank you very much to the author, publisher and Netgalley for this ARC.

3.5/5.

A divorced couple meet at the luxury resort they honeymooned in, both blaming the other and determining to "win". In places this did get a bit silly, and you could start to guess the ending, but it was well written, even if you do feel that people who behave in such a silly fashion would not be so successful in their high powered jobs. .

This book was nothing like I expected it to be. I thought it was going to be a second chance romance/enemy to lover romance, where the main characters Amy and Joel, who are divorced from each other meet on vacation and realize that they never should have gotten divorced and would ride off into the sunset together. So imagine my surprise when it was completely different. Amy and Joel do meet on vacation, and instead of romance we get awkward encounters, that are both hilarious and cringeworthy to say the least.. lol The book totally gave me Forgetting Sarah Marshall, vibes and while it started off a little slow it ended up being a really good book. I even forgave that it wasn't a "romance" because I think it ended like it should have, also I was so in love with Ray's character, even though he's not the main character, so any other ending would have made me mad.
