Amy and Joel had the perfect honeymoon in the Maldives with a week filled with love, sex, and sun. Now eight years later, they are divorced and Joel is dating a younger woman. They decide to take a vacation in the Maldives as Joel remembers it as paradise. They are so excited to head out on vacation but as they are boarding the plane, they get to their row and see that Amy and her new partner are seated in the same row on their plane. They are both concerned that they can't be in close proximity to each other for the long flight. Once they get to their destination, they discover that they are staying on the same island at the same resort. Once they are escorted to their cabin, they are located next door to each other. That was the last straw and Amy did get their room moved to another location. This starts a horrible week of rivalry and one-upmanship as they both try to prove that they are the happiest person with the best partner. This is a hilarious story about relationships and life and secrets. I recommend it.

Nick Spalding has written an entertaining, funny, and heart-warming second chance romance in You Again? It has a wonderful storyline and developed characters who you cant help but love or hate or love to hate or hate to love or all of the above! Its a journey worth reading although maybe a bit predictable at the very end (at least in part). But that doesn't take away from the story!

Joel and Amy were married for 8 years but the memory or their honeymoon on a beautiful island in the Maldives hasn't been forgotten by either of them. Now happily seeing other people both have elected to plan vacations to said island the same week, unknowingly of course. And Joel and Amy do NOT get along!

While on the island Joel and Amy find themselves in a bunch of shenanigans, either self induced or by random bad luck. But they also find memories and history and a love lost. Do they also find a renewed love?

I did not finish this one. Despite I really really loved the book Bricking It from the same author. Somehow these characters got under my skin...

War of the Roses, updated. And I’m the Maldives. Any and Joel are angry exes who happen to be on the same vacation at the same time - the spot of their honeymoon. With sarcastic and bitter comments towards each other and a constant need to outdo or one up each other, these two seem like they will never settle the score. Until a few small moments combined open their eyes to why they have so much resentment for each other.

There are some laugh out loud scenes and some cringeworthy behavior, but I found it to be funny, sometimes sweet with a nice ending.

"You again?" by Nick Spalding is a quick and funny read. It was a bit over the top for my liking and the ending is contrived, but all in all, it kept my attention and provided a few laughs and eyerolls. We all need that every now and then.

Reading this book was like a roller coaster between laughing and cringing at how people can humiliate themselves.

Ray and Amy are a divorced couple who find themselves on the island of their honeymoon at the same time, with their new partners in life. Acrimonious does not describe how much they resent each other so the reader is left to wonder how all of this will end. The romantic in me hoped for a reunion but the realistic part of me kept wondering.

The author brought good moments that were light and enjoyable but also showed how people can be the worst in their relationships.

All in all, a good ending and enjoyable book.

I am a fan of Nick Spalding and whilst I enjoyed this book I found it much too predictable. I enjoyed the context of a tropical island, I thought the characters were well drawn if a little stereotypical but whilst not everything was expected for me too much of it was. A good light read.

I requested this book only because I loved the cover of the book! It felt like such a summer read and I am glad to tell you that it actually was! The book is outrageously hilarious, even in some difficult and tricky situations. The characters are flawed but also kind of a little immature (?) While I did enjoy most of it, I felt that the resolution needed a little bit more nuanced than what was done here. But, overall, it was a very interesting and fun read.

This was such a fun read! Can you even imagine going on a vacation at the same time with your ex-husband? There were so many laugh out loud moments in this book and some were even shocking. I really enjoyed how this story was told in two different perspectives and how it bounced back and forth with each chapter. I found myself very eager to see how this would end. It did not disappoint!!!

This story follows two divorced people that happen to be on vacation at the same place with their new partners. They can't just ignore each other, but instead spend so much energy trying to get revenge on each other instead. I found some spots in the story where I giggled, but I quickly got tired of the immaturity of these people. It was awkward and uncomfortable.

I was disappointed to DNF this book. I tried, but the tone was snarky and the characters completely unlikeable. Even with former-lovers tropes, there's usually some sense of what they had liked about one another or some chemistry, that this story lacked. What was meant to be humor, I'm sure, just fell flat for me and it wasn't a book I was eager to get back to anytime I put it aside.

This book was light hearted, funny, and an easy read. Something I was needing!! I really enjoyed the characters and the story flipping back and forth between the two main characters & their point of view. I chuckled out loud several times throughout this book of two exes, stuck on a small tropical island together with their new partners, trying to get one last jab at each other.

I wanted so much to like this book, but I found the two main characters annoyingly insufferable and whiney. Until about 94% through, this was a one-star book, but the ending kind of saved it and made it a two-star. Not a big fan.

When I began reading this book, I will confess that I was not sure if I was going to enjoy it. The first chapter is written from a male point of view and I found that quite difficult to relate to, however as the book went on, I was laughing along and enjoying both sides to the story.

Completely unbelievable and the thing of nightmares... it was hilarious to read how both parties dealt with the events of the book. The descriptions have made me even more desperate to want to go to the Maldives!

Although this was a book from a series, I haven't read the others yet still managed to find it enjoyable and understood what was happening.

I can’t imagine running into my ex on vacation so this premise was very intriguing. I thoroughly enjoyed You Again by Nick Spalding. I had reservations at first because sometimes books with revenge plots can get tiring and obnoxious but he didn’t drag things out and showed a true human side to both characters. I did not see the ending coming but don’t want to go too much into it to avoid spoilers. It was surprising but in a good way. The journey was definitely humorous and the setting description made me want to visit the resort. It’s a fun read I would recommend to anyone who has an ex.
