Quite a run and frothy read, it tells the story of a divorced couple who find themselves two years later on holiday at the same place. An amusing read about the breakdown of relationship and the bitterness and resentments that can be held when a relationship concludes. entertaining and engaging.

Great story and one of Nick’s best. Who has not wanted to show up with a new and lovely significant other when meeting your ex? Of course when you have not gotten over your ex and still hate the ground they walk on it is a little more difficult. The tale ostensibly takes two warring former lovers and puts them on the same vacation with the new significant others and same hatred of each other. It them moves into fresh and original ( and hilarious) territory when the try to outdo each other. Even the ending is fresh and unexpected and somehow quite fitting. Well done.

Nick Spalding has had me in tears again! Though the premise of this story isn’t original, it’s told in such an amazing way. You can see it playing out as you read.

I highly recommend this book and any of the other hilariously humorous book by Mr. Spalding.

I was really excited for this second chance romance, but I couldn’t buy into the after divorce love story on a chance encounter half way across the world.

This book has a great mix of humor and cuteness! It felt like a very lighthearted read and I enjoyed the storyline! I’ve been really enjoying these “oh crap! My ex is here” storylines! I think they’re really funny and keep my attention from beginning to end. I will definitely be recommending this book to friends!

Storyline:
Amy and Joel vacationed in the Maldives for their honeymoon. Afterwards, their relationship ended in a disaster. However, years later they both end up on the island with their new significant others! Neither knew about the other being on the island until Joel sees her at dinner. What will happen when two exes are trapped on an island together where they honeymooned 8 years prior?

The first book of Spalding's I tried... it fell flat and I DNF. After reading the synopsis of this book, I decided to give it a try, as it sounded like it had a lot of potential. Unfortunately, another DNF. I got half-way and just didn't like it. I usually do my best to finish every book I'm given, but I now know that Spalding's writing style is just not for me.

Amy and Joel are divorced and currently dating new people. A great deal pops up for a trip to the same place they spent their honeymoon. Separately they unknowingly book tickets on the same flight for the same island and do not realize it until seeing each other at the airport. What commences is immaturity and a lot of rehashing of the past.

The characters seemed whiny and kind of wimpy. I couldn't actually imagine most of it happening in real life, so that's a big disconnect for me. I was hoping for more redemption or humor, but it was just annoyance and eye rolling. Bummer.

You Again just loved it. Kind of reminded me of my EX and me.

Actually my first read from this author and I loved it. The situations they encounter when they are forced to be together for the week are laugh-out-loud funny. I really liked the alternating POVs here between Joel and Amy. Seeing their present, and the events in the past that led to their divorce through their eyes was interesting and made me care more about the two of them as characters. In the beginning, they both seem unlikeable, but as I got deeper into the story, I began to understand who they were and appreciated their growth more.

Good Summer Read, Enjoy it.

This book is laugh out loud funny. There were some chapters where I giggled so much my husband asked me what was going on. I couldn't put it down and waited for the next adventure of Amy or Joel (divorced couple) and their crazy vacation with their significant others. Set in the Maldives (where I totally want to go on vacation now) the madcap vacation rolls along at a fast pace and you won't want to put this book down. It's the perfect summer read - heck, perfect anytime read!

This is the first of Nick Spaldings books I have read and it didn’t disappoint. Sad, sweet and laugh out loud funny. I felt the characters were all totally relatable and the ending unexpected but pleasing because it wasn’t predictable. A must read this summer!!

In all honesty I struggled to get into this book. It is my first one by this well known author as well. Its your standard chick flit you can see what is coming with each chapter. The MC I couldn't connect with and bother if them are so immature about finding themselves in the same place. This book annoyed me more than anything else.

You Again? was such a fun book to read. The story follows ex spouses, Amy and Joel, through their vacation where they both attend the same flight, hotel, excursion etc. Amy and Joel despise each other before their vacation and won't give up the chance to get back at them for ruining each other's vacation. I very rarely laugh out loud when reading, but a decent bowel movement joke and karaoke gone wrong really got me. Both the main characters Amy and Joel are flawed in just the perfect ways to make the story investible. I would recommend this read to anyone who wants something light and fun, preferably with a cocktail in hand. 4/5 stars from me!

If you want a laugh out loud humorous book, then read You Again? If you are in need of getting out of a bad mood or if you are overstressed, then read You Again? This is a fast paced read. Spalding has developed the characters in such a way that you feel like you know them as good friends.
Amy and Joel are a divorced couple that have gone their separate ways. They are both currently in relationships. Coincidentally, they decide to vacation in the Maldives, where Amy and Joel previously had their honeymoon. Of course, unbeknownst to each other, they book the same week on the same island. Amy and Joel have terrible feelings towards one another. Their divorce was partially due to a missed appointment to sell a mansion. This led to Amy being fired from her real-estate position. She believes that Joel was the reason behind the missed appointment and the downfall of their marriage and her career.
Joel is currently dating his boss’ granddaughter. When Amy and her fiancée, Ray meet up with Joel and his girlfriend Cara, things immediately go from bad to worse. Amy and Joel play immature games on each other which at times are very hilarious.
Definitely an enjoyable summer read!

Review of You Again? by Nick Spalding

This is the story of divorced couple Amy and Joel who had the perfect honeymoon in the Maldives, followed by a less than perfect marriage. They both end up back at the same place with new partners at the same time a couple of years post divorce. I enjoyed this book, the characters were interesting and it had some nice laugh out loud moments. Recommend

I’m a fan of Nick Spaulding so thought I’d love this book. And I did like it well enough, but I didn’t love it. The main characters Joel and Amy end up on the same tropical island that they spent their honeymoon on, years after they divorce and set out to seemingly irritate each other as much as possible… an interesting prospect but they are both so annoying that I found it difficult to stay engaged with them! I just wanted to give them a shake and tell them to grow up! There’s a nice twist at the end but overall not his best work.

What a funny and hilarious book this was! Those pranks, the back and forth banter everything was so entertaining.
Really enjoyed it.

You Again is a great breezy read. Lots of funny events and cute characters. Just a bit wordy for me and lacking depth. The best part was the ending- some unusually mature and soul searching comments are made that make the rest of the fluff worthwhile.

Amy and Joel memorable honeymoon in the Maldives, that was before they were divorced and when their marriage was good.

Two years after their, not so amicable divorce, the two have moved on and are in relationships. They each remember the fun they had in The Maldives and when a great travel deal pops up, they both decide to go to return with their new partners. Unfortunately, they decide to go during the same week and can’t seem to escape each other.

This book was different for me for a few reasons. The first being, it was one of the rare occasions where I didn’t like either of the characters. I can understand being annoyed/aggravated that you learn you will be vacationing on a small island with your ex but these two took it to the extreme. For me, they spend far too much time concentrating on each other than they did on their significant others or the vacation. At one point, Amy sabotages Joel’s massage to get back at him for losing her sunset view. Which was crazy because losing her view had nothing to do with Joel, she demanded to have her room moved. This in turn is the start of Joel and Amy trying to “get the other one”. Joel was annoying because of his obsession with Amy’s boyfriend, Ray.

While there were some good laughs in this book, I had a hard time connecting with it. The narration far outweighed the dialogue. There were times when Joel would say something to his girlfriend, Cara, but then would get wrapped up in his thoughts. The narration was so long that by the time dialogue started again, I’d forgotten what the initial comment was. Although this is listed as a romance story, it didn’t read that way to me, which could be why I had such a hard time connecting. I was expecting one thing and got something totally different. I could actually see this as more of a screen play for a movie.

Here is a perfect pick you up book. It is light reading and made me smile and cringe on every page. The story follows two couples as they set off for the holiday of a lifetime to the Maldives. But two of them have been there before, on the perfect honeymoon getaway. Now they have a divorce two years behind them and are with different partners.

Amy and Joel had worked together in real estate and were like two peas in a pod until an error at work that they both blamed each other for. It ended their marriage and lost one of them their job. The hate between them had never lessened, and now two years on, Joel has spotted Amy and her new bloke at the airport, and it looks like they are heading the same place as Joel and his girlfriend.

The story takes the couples through an obsessive game of attempting to avoid each other, with hilarious outcomes. It is followed by sabotage, one-upmanship, and the ultimate showdown. There are butt-clenching moments and very windy times ahead in every possible way. I have to say that the author does get inventive in the tac-ticks that they use. Some of this story is corny, but I enjoyed this light side of it, with the over the top situations and the visual delights that were created.
