This is the third book in The Miles High Club series, and it did not disappoint! T L Swan has done it again! This series is such a guilty pleasure for me. The Stopover was my favorite in the series, but now I’m not too sure. I really enjoyed Elliot’s story, and I didn’t see the end coming (that’s all I’m going to say). I’m just sitting and waiting for Christopher’s story now.

Kate’s favorite hobby is to infuriate Elliot Miles, her boss. They both have grown to hate one another ever since Kate started working for him years ago. However, she begins to see changes in Elliot’s behavior. He can’t take his eyes off her, and isn’t the same Elliot Miles anymore to her. She wonders what made him lose his hatred for her in the first place.

This book was a wild ride! I had issues with some parts of the book, mainly because there were moments where it was repetitive. I was frustrated with Elliot about 50% of the book due to his anger problems. T L Swan had my jaw to the floor when all the loose ends were getting tied up! Overall, it was just as enjoyable as the other two in the series. (Also, steamier!) I hope there’s another book with Christopher’s story because I would love to see more of him!!

The book blurb:

My favorite hobby is infuriating Elliot Miles. God knows how he earns his Casanova reputation—if a million women want him with his personality, what the heck am I doing wrong?

Disgusted with my love life, I join a dating app under a fake name. I start chatting to a man named Edgar. He’s not my type and lives on the other side of the world, but we hit off a friendship, laugh and confide in each other.

Edgar and Elliot... so different but both so much in my life....

I haven't read any of this author's books before so this was a happy surprise. The book is funny, steamy and romantic. It's a stand alone so I was able to follow it even though it did mention the rest of Elliot's family. A fun way to spend the time.

Thanks to the publisher for providing an arc.

My love for Tristian Miles is widely known by my community and friends. Also my level of fangirling for TL Swan is very high, so I have been eagerly awaiting ARCs for this book for ages. The Takeover was my favorite read of 2020. So anticipation was high.

One of my absolute favorite things about reading a TL Swan book is the callbacks and cameos of other characters. All her books connect or take place in the same world and that makes being a dedicated fan very rewarding.

I was very intrigued to read about Elliot, who we know has a not so secret obsession with a certain artist in a previous book. So I was not expecting his love interest to be Kate, one of his employees and the bane of his existence.

Kate is trying to come out of a funk after some personal loss in her past and her boss is just always on her case. They get off on the wrong foot from day one, and now, years into their acquaintance that have this aversion to each other that is a bit out of control.

One day Elliot observes Kate over the security cameras dancing at the copier and he starts to look at her in a new way. And when Kate goes through a health issue at work, it puts them in even closer proximity together and Elliot just can't stay away from her.

This was another great entry to the series and in the interest of keeping this spoiler free I won't say much more. But I was pulled into their romance and I loved how they navigated everything.

There was a decision that Elliot made that almost lost me for good. No joke, but his grovel was pretty epic and some of the reveals at the end made up for it. They may have been a BIT too convenient but it is a romance after all.

5/5 stars.

P.S. Tristian is till my favorite Miles brother and Jameson is still a dick.

As a long time fan of T L Swan books and this series specifically, I had extremely high expectations for this book and it did not disappoint! This book was everything you need in a romance with swoony men, super steamy scenes, hilarious moments and some drama.

I wasn’t sure what to think of the fact that they were talking online and one of them didn’t know as I thought that would be what the drama was going to be in their relationship but I was thrown completely off! I didn’t see what happened coming and that’s one of my favourite things about T L Swans writing.

I really loved Elliot and Kate’s relationship, they truly did not get along in the beginning and I loved how it came out of nowhere. The way Elliot was with Kate was so swoony. And let’s take a moment to talk about the hilarious moments with the animals, I was laughing out loud!

Overall, this was one of my favourite reads of the year and I highly recommend! If you’ve read the previous two books, you’ll love the appearances the brothers and their families make! Even Spencer, Sebastian and Julian make a cameo!

TL Swan is one of my all time favourites and with every book her writing just gets better and better. Although The Takeover is my most adored book ever, The Casanova comes to a close second. Loved every minute of Kate and Elliot’s story!
