An important message with beautiful illustrations but the explanation wasn't very clear at all. Although I realize that this is meant as a starting point and that parents do need to personalize the conversation to their child, this book is far to vague and simplistic to be truly useful.

This is such a beautiful book and one that I will definitely be purchasing for my daughters! Filled with the most beautiful illustrations and bright colours! I read this with my three year old and even though she didn’t really understand the message of the story, I do think this is such an important book and topic that she needs to grow up with. Sheds light on such an important lesson that all children need to be aware of and teaches it in a fun way. Can’t wait to add this book to my shelves!

Where Hands Go is a lovely, gentle introduction to teaching very young children about consent. I don't think it's ever too soon to teach kids about bodily autonomy, about what kind of touch is acceptable and what isn't. It can be a difficult subject for parents to bring up and I think this book is the perfect tool to approach that conversation. It's a very short book, told in the style of a poem that's easy to read and understand and the illustrations are so beautiful. I keep seeing this book and I'm glad I read it, I'll be recommending it to friends with young children.

Every parent should read this book to their kids as a bedtime story.

Where hands go is a storytelling approach to educate the kids about good touch and bad touch. With a simple and catchy poem, the mother teaches her young daughter where it is okay if somewhere touches you and where it isn’t.

The book also gives a message that a child should trust their parent and don’t think that you’ll unnecessarily worry them, because a trusted parent would always look out for you.

I really appreciate the fact that awareness about this topic is spread among children in a lighthearted and good way.

Last but not the least, the Illustrations were literally magical. They were Pixar-movie level of Illustrations and completely amazed me.

Where Hands Go by Krystaelynne Sanders Diggs is an educational children's book that is as much for parents as it is for children. Sometimes hard topics are not talked about simply because parents don't know how to approach them. This book is about one of those topics where a mother recites a poem to her daughter every night teaching her what is appropriate and inappropriate touching by adults and it is done in a way that is comfortable for the parent and the child. The illustrations are phenomenal and show the unconditional love this mother has for her child all while teaching a life lesson. This is a book I will purchase to add to our library's children's collection.

Thank you Krystaelynne Sanders Diggs for this wonderful book and for the work you do everyday with the Kids Again Foundation!

What an excellent book for helping us parents keep our kids safe from predators. It is so important to make kids understand what types of physical interactions are not okay in a way that doesn’t damage their psyche. This book definitely accomplishes that and opens up a discussion between parents and their children.

This is an awesome children’s book! I think as a mother all children should know what’s right and wrong when it comes to people touching their bodies. There are too many children being sexually abused by some of the closest family and friends and they need to know it’s not okay!

Where Hands Go is a simple story which has an extremely important message. It is an easy way to introduce children to the importance of knowing what is appropriate and what isn't and how they should react if they are ever in that situation.

Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for my ARC.

Beautifully illustrated book to read with young ones about where hands go. This is a must have for littles home libraries, daycares, or even to gift.

As a mother of three young girls the title of this immediately caught my interest, and I thoroughly appreciated the message around consent and physical touch.

I read this with my five-year-old last night and had a very wonderful discussion, she commented really appreciating the bright and colorful pictures, rhyming and sing songy verses, along with the message around touches that are allowed and comfortable and touches that or not. I’m thankful that schools and daycare‘s are providing this same message more now and so she was able to share various tidbits that she has learned that matched this message.

As a parent this book feels important and necessary and a wonderful way of exploring a possibly really uncomfortable conversation for some families. As a therapist I can also see the benefit in a book like this being used as a prompt to assess and explore consent and children’s own bodies.

The illustrations catch your entire focus, and just pull you into the story. This is a great book for boys and girls alike. It's not too scary or graphic, so it is a wonderful introduction to the topic. It's short and sweet, and would a wonderful addition to parent's collections

I enjoyed the way the message of this book was delivered and how it serves to open new topics of conversation with children.

The artwork was good. The vibrancy of the colors and the attention to detail was great.

This is a simple story with a strong message. It has some of the most beautiful illustrations I've ever seen and I believe children and parents will be drawn to it. I do wish it had made a statement that the child has a right to decline a hug or other touches that aren't necessarily bad, but makes the child feel uncomfortable. I just feel it was a little too short and had the opportunity to really empower the child in regards to her body. Overall though, the message is a good one and I would recommend it.

As mother of a toddler one of my biggest concern was how to introduce the concept of good and bad touch. But I found this gem which makes the discussion easier. The beautifully illustrated book discuss about the topic of touch by means of rhyme so that it is easily understandable for the child. The background set up is laid and illustrated such that children can easily realate to their daily lives. A must have book if you have a child.

I can't begin this review without mentioning that “where hands go” is a necessary book, period. As the name suggests, it’s a story about boundaries, about how okay it’s okay for someone else to touch you. Without much ado, it is a perfect sex education book for parents, guardians or teachers to read along with children, teaching them that their bodies belongs only to themselves and that other people, even though they are adults, cannot disrespect it. The book conveys this message in a very simple way for the child’s better understanding. In addition, it has beautiful illustrations, with a little black girl as the protagonist (representation does matter!).
“Where hands go” is an educational book and is a great resource for those who do not yet know how to start sex education with their children.

Where Hands Go is a book aimed to teach kids about touches, good and bad touches in the smoothest, easiest way. And it was beautifully illustrated. I liked it.

Beautiful artwork that made me smile. I thought the book was probably a bit short and wasn't really anything more than an introduction for parents to be able to discuss the issue with their kids. It wasn't enough to really educate on its own but could be used as a tool at least for parents to work around. Personally I wouldn't purchase for my own child and I wouldn't purchase it for others so I can't really rate higher than two stars.

I absolutely LOVED the concept of this book. This is definitely a book that needed to be written and also needs to be gifted or bought for children. I feel like it opens the door for those discussions that need to be had with ALL children. Sexual assault on children is a sad tragic truth and definitely needs to be talked about.

This book is about a mother and young child singing a song during her bath time. The songs goes on to say where it’s okay where hands to go and where it’s not okay for hands to go. It also goes on to say what should she do if someone does cross that line (as to run away and let her mother know.)

I loved it. My only complain would be that it was rushed. As in, i wish it was a little longer. But I still loved it, I would still highly recommend it! Great little book for kids.

It's beautifully illustrated. Kudos for that 👏🏻. The only thing I found lacking is it's too brief, way brief. I love to see the joyfulness in the pictures but I was hoping there are more words and actions to describe what's going on.

Thank you, #Netgalley and #BooksGoSocialPublishing, for this ARC in exchange of my review.

I found this book nice to look at, and the drawing and picture are really lovely ! Can be quite eye catching, which might be good for the kids.

The concept of the book and the subject is really important to be taught to kids from really early ages and I think it has a good potential and ideas. However, I think it is lacking in simplicity I term of vocabulary and terms, also it might require explanation for the kids afterwards as I found it a bit blurry on what is OK and what is not.
Otherwise I love the idea and I think we should read more book to kids on this matter !
