Another delightful tale in the wacky and wonderful series about interesting animal facts. This book has simple, yet adorable illustrations. It’s just disgusting enough to interest the most reluctant of readers and fascinating enough for the budding young scientists. Tills has crafted an entire series of books tackling the most obscure and interesting scientific facts about animals. They are entertaining and educational, which can be a tricky balance to maintain in children’s books. This one covers the fact that geckos cannot blink, and instead, lick their own eyeballs to keep them moist and clean. The text is easy enough for younger readers to tackle independently and also has some great vocabulary that can be used for lessons. This is one that classrooms will want to add to the science shelf along with the other books in the series

This is a charming and informational book that teaches children about geckos (and why they don't blink!). The text is short and simple, making it easy for children to follow along. The illustrations are absolutely adorable and engaging, sure to capture the attention of a young audience.

This was such a fun and informative book about geckos. If your child likes learning about new animals this whole collection will be a great asset for them. The text is short and to the point - you’re still able to learn something new, but don’t have too much reading to do. The illustrations were bright and well done as well.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this advanced copy.

Little known facts like this always spark interest in young children and this is no exception! I personally had no idea that geckos don't blink so this was an interesting book all around.

Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

This is a perfect choice for anyone looking for a short, yet educative and fun book for their children.

Each page is colorful and the art is sure to stir up the curiosity in little kids to know more about these funny-looking animals.

In fact, even adults might learn more with it!

Overall, a great book to help children learn more about the environment that surrounds them, helping them develop special interest in the animals they must work to protect in the future.

A very entertaining non fiction book for children! The colours and illustrations are just delightful and I certainly learnt something about geckos. I’ll definitely be sharing this with the pupils in my class.

Geckos Don't Blink is a very cute and insightful story! The Awesome Animals series is a fantastic collection of short Children's stories that are not only fun to read but also that helps to discover new things without them feeling like a school lesson. This was my first, and it didn't disappoint at all. On the contrary, even at my age, it made me discover new things. The drawings are super cute, the cover of this one was what attracted me in the first place. Thank you Netgalley and BooksGoSocial for this eARC of 'Geckos Don't Blink'!

Geckos Don't Blink is another book in the fantastic Awesome Animals series. It is the third one that myself and my four year old son have read together and they are all fantastic (although I think this one is my favourite!) and we have learnt something new from each one of them.

Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for my ARC.

This is a great book for early independent readers! Not only is the subject matter interesting and entertaining, it's also told in simple language with fun, engaging illustrations. The text is broken up into small chunks with varying formats, so there's no intimidating "wall of text" that can throw beginning readers.

The text includes extra spacing and a bottom-heavy font with no extra fanfare, so this is a book that could be used both for typical readers and readers with dyslexia or other information processing divergences without the need for a "different" or "special" book. This can mean a lot to emerging readers at that very critical time in their academic and social development. This would be an awesome addition to elementary school and classroom libraries!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

How much my daughter loved this book? She is all blinking and winking and eye-rolling ever since we read the book this afternoon. She cannot stop talking about pigs who never sweat, snakes who have no legs, and now geckos who don't blink. This Awesome Animals series generates lots of chitchatting and giggling in the family - you do not want to miss it.

Many thanks for NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for this Advance Reading Copy.

My son LOVES animals. This book is adorable and fun to read with children! Most animal information books are in the form of encyclopedias. It was nice to learn something new while not having to read 500 pages.
