I’m a fan of T.M. Logan’s novels so was keen to read this one and I really enjoyed it. It follows the aftermath of a teenage party in the woods and what happens when one of them didn’t arrive home in time for curfew and another failed to return home at all. This novel has so many twists and turns and is often the case in this author’s books I think I have it all worked out but end up being wrong (which I love!). This is a fast-paced novel that has you reading just one more chapter until you find you’ve turned the last page and it feels like no time has gone by. I recommend it!

Whenever I go into a T. M. Logan book and I always know I am in for a treat. He really knows how to write a book that will capture you.

Dr Andy Boyd and his wife Laura have a twelve year old daughter called Harriet and sixteen year old son, Connor. Connor always adheres to his curfew of midnight.

I really don't want to give too much away with regards to the ins and outs of the twists, especially at the beginning - we had a few before we even got 10% into the book! Connor, his cousin Zac, Drew, Olivia and Emily all went out to celebrate the end of exams but only four of the teenagers made it home.

Connor seems to be implicated for one of the girls' disappearance but Andy is adamant that his son had nothing to do with it. The story feeds us bits and pieces about what really happened so as a reader it is exciting to discover the truth and makes you want to read on. I sped through! It really focuses on how far you would go to protect your child, no matter what.

I really enjoyed the chase and thought that the character of Harriet was really interesting as a secondary character.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read and review.
Having read and enjoyed this author before, I was keen to start this book.
It was easy to get straight into the story, and the narrative flowed well. The plot was gripping and twisty. The ending was a surprise, and very convoluted.

First, I want to thank T.M. Logan, Bonnier Books UK, NetGalley, and Compulsive Readers for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.

WOW!! WOW!! WOW!!! If you are a fan of missing person cases than The Curfew by T.M. Logan is a book you must add to your TBR pile!! It is fast paced, read in one night, addictive, mind blowing, and an incredibly twisted storyline!! Loved this 5 star read!!

This book is every parent's worst nightmare come true! When your child goes missing and questioned for the disappearance of another! My heart not only went out to the parents but Connor as well!

For being 12 years old Harriet is one smart girl!! I loved how she helped her Dad on a lot of the technical side of things. Plus, I adored her for being brave enough to want to help her brother out.

T.M. Logan addressed some important topics in The Curfew such as bullying.

My head was spinning at how intense the climax of the book was. Never in a million years did I see The Curfew end the way it did!! My mind was blown!! Great job T.M. Logan!!

I have had this to read for a while but having just started to watch The Holiday on TV I couldn’t wait to start reading this thriller and was certainly not disappointed. The story builds brilliantly, quite slow burning to start but by the end moving at a great pace. Told mainly from the POV of the father, Andy, but with some input from other characters.

Briefly, Andy and Laura believe they are good parents to their two children Connor and Harriett. Connor is told he can go to an end of exams party but to be back by midnight. However the next morning they discover he hasn’t come home. This sets off a frightening chain of events as they realise Connor and 4 friends went into the woods but one of them hasn’t returned. Each of the childrens parents and their children become involved and fingers are pointed at a potential suspect. How far will a parent go to protect their child?

Some great characters, very believable. I particularly liked Harriet who seemed to have a very sensible head on her. All in all a genuinely good read, the plot twists and turns at almost every page leading to a stunning finale. I read this book in one go as I just could not put it down. The tension was palpable! Classic Logan book and definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another winner from this author.
Connor has a curfew. He must be in by a certain time and text his mum when he is in.
Five teenagers head to the woods after a party but only four come out. What happened that night?
A very clever plot that had me swaying between different characters who I thought was guilty.
Told from the pov of the five in the woods before one disappears adds to the intrigue.
I cringed at some of the things that Andy, Connor's dad got up to to try and protect his son.
There are some unlikeable characters especially the missing child's step dad.
I thought the ending was very satisfying as I wasn't expecting that suspect. Red herrings scattered within the plot makes for a gripping read.
Thanks to Netgalley and Zaffre for the opportunity to read this ARC in return for an honest review.

I always get excited when I see a new T.M. Logan book being published as all his novels are completely compelling and The Curfew is no exception. Clear your schedule when you pick this one up as you won't be able to put it down!

Like many parents of teenagers, Andy Boyd can't completely fall asleep until he knows that his 16 year old son, Connor, is home safe. Connor's curfew is midnight so he must be home when Andy wakes up at 3am, but Andy can't relax until he looks into Connor's room and thinks he sees him tucked up in bed. The following day becomes every parent's worst nightmare when one of Connor's school friends goes missing but Connor was home by midnight...wasn't he?

Ooooh you can't help but read this book wondering what you would do in the same situation. Andy and Laura Boyd have every faith in their son but they don't actually know where he was at midnight so it's either stupid or incredibly trusting to tell the police that Connor was at home. Connor is clearly hiding something and I couldn't read fast enough to find out what.

Although the story centres around Connor, it is his 12 year old sister, Harriet, who turned out to be my favourite character. She's like a cross between Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory and Chloe from 24; incredibly intelligent and a tech wizard who naturally doesn't fit in with the normal kids at school. Who wants to be normal anyway? The character development is stunning and they're described so vividly that they virtually pop out of the page.

T.M. Logan has done it again! The Curfew is a gripping, compulsive and nail-biting thriller that is as impossible to predict as it is to put down. I certainly missed my reading curfew when reading just one more chapter turned into five more chapters. Don't miss this one!

I received an ARC to read and review for the blog tour; this is my honest and unbiased opinion.

This was a pure delight to read. I found myself racing through it. Packed full of the suspense and twists you’d expect from T M Logan

I have found that T.M. Logan is an authot that does not disappoint.
Another great read from him.
Having teenage children and the worries we have about them not coming in by their curfew is every parents worst nightmare, what has happened, what have they done, are they ok.
The characters in the story were all portrayed in a way that you just wanted to know more about them and how their part in the story would pan out.
A must read, I did not want to put this one down, especially towards the end. A couple of twists on the way.

Thank you to Netgalley, Bonnier Books UK Zaffre and T.M.Logan for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Great to read a domestic thriller from a father's point of view. All of the twists and turns you expect from this author with a very charming 12 year old sleuth. Will delight TM Logan's many fans.

My interest in T.M. Logan's thriller was initially linked to enjoyment of his previous novels and clever twists. I became less involved in the narrative, however, which is still deftly handled and well-paced and more reflective about the relationships between parents and teenagers.
Being a parent to a teenager is a difficult balancing act between giving them independence and still wanting to protect and look after them. It is a testing time for all concerned and I could empathise with the frustration and desperation of the narrator.
If you want to write about family dynamics and secrets within a thriller context, what no better time in a family's development to choose.

As usual TM Logan has written a fantastic thriller. It is so exciting well written and plenty of twists and turns.. I can definitely imagine it being made into a TV series as it is a perfectly written drama. Can't wait to read more from this brilliant writer

I love T.M Logan's books. I have read all of them, and never felt disappointed.
I can safely say that this book is no exception - this was a great read too.

The concept of this book was really intriguing, and felt like it could be real - I find that with some thrillers they get a bit too over the top and not very believable. Logan's books always feel believable, and it just makes them all the more gripping.

I was super excited to read this book, and it did not disappoint. I couldn't put it down and desperately wanted to find out 'who dunnit!?'

If you're in need of gripping book - this is the one!

This was quite a slow read. It starts off quite interesting as there is an air of suspense about the missing teenagers at the beginning of the book. Who is missing, and where are they?
However, as the book progresses, it is very slow in giving us any kind of answer. Connor’s behaviour is infuriating and why his parents weren’t doing more to get answers out of him baffled me. They took more of an ‘it’s ok, we love you no matter what’ approach, and it was all too softly handled.
Harry was quite an interesting character, but I felt like she didn’t get enough ‘air’ time and was pushed to the story’s background. It was apparent she had the skills to help, as she demonstrated pretty early on. However, her parents continuously kept demeaning her, patting her on the head and sending her off out of the way.
The outcome of Emily’s disappearance was quite interesting, but it did feel somewhat rushed. This was in a stark comparison to how slow the rest of the story had been.
The dad (Andy or Rob? I kept getting the brother’s names mixed up) was another annoying character. He just seemed too much of a wet lettuce and kept wandering around the woods trying to get answers. What he should have been doing was prising them out of his son!
I do, however, like that Logan’s books are written from a male perspective as there are so many books in this genre that have a female protagonist. This does make for a pleasant change.
This certainly wasn’t the best of Logan’s books that I have read, but it did pass the time. I just wish there had been a quicker pace throughout to keep me engaged with the story. Just a three-star read for me.

Did I like the book?
I always enjoy T.M. Logan so I was over the moon to be able to read The Curfew ahead of its publication *happy dance* The author always delivers enjoyable thrillers that keep your mind busy. I love the mundane settings, the family drama, the secrets, everything is tied together in a very entertaining way!

Did I enjoy reading it?
Absolutely! I was happy that the main protagonist was the father. What a great change! We always get the single woman or the mother, so yes to more male in this kind of thrillers. High five to Tim for choosing to tell the story through Andy’s point of view along with some other voices adding layers along the way.

What did I feel?
Glad I don’t have kids so don’t have to set a curfew! 🤣 T.M. Logan digs into what it means to be a parent, with the regrets, fears, and responsibilities that go with it. Your boy is in trouble, what do you do?

Connor, beloved son of Andy and Laura, went out with his friends into the woods, and now one of them is missing. Not original, you might say, but I really enjoyed how annoying it was to get any information from Connor. Try forcing a teenager to talk to his parents….!!! I was just as frustrated as Andy, and couldn’t help but wonder how far they should go to protect him, if he didn’t even tried to clear his name? Andy’s desperation to understand what happened and save his son is touching and will most likely resonate with any parent.

I think my favorite character is Connor’s sister Harry, computer whizz with a big heart! The array of characters give the plot an extra layer of mystery, and the brothers/cousins relationships is just the cherry on top to sprinkle more shades on the mystery!

The ending was satisfying, even though I was expecting something different.

How would I describe it?
Perfect for a TV adaptation

Anything else to add?
I am glad I don’t have kids! Too much worrying, haha!

TM Logan never fails to disappoint when I'm looking for a fast-paced, engaging thriller. From the very start of The Curfew, I was hooked. I could feel the pressure that each character felt under and was instantly searching for answers. And when a book does that, you know you're in for an exciting ride.

The Curfew is another addictive thriller with snappy chapters, well-developed characters, an intriguing plot, and plenty of exciting action. I wouldn't say that anything particularly shocked me, but I definitely had a lot of fun with this high-energy thriller and will always look forward to a new release by Logan.

(I'm on the blog tour for this on 1st March so my reviews will be live then!)

Parents Andy and Laura have given their son Connor a curfew of midnight. Connor goes to a party to celebrate the end of exams. Then himself and a few others decide to go into the woods to continue the party. Connor misses his curfew of midnight and the next day one of the girls in the group is reported missing. Connor doesn’t have an alibi. Andy and Laura will do anything to protect their son but to what cost?

I am a huge fan of this author and have enjoyed every single book that he has written. On the whole I did really enjoy this story but I felt that the parents, more so the dad made some very silly decisions. As someone who primarily reads thrillers I am always hoping that the author will do something different. I got to a point in the book where I was hoping that the story would end as at that point it would have made a refreshing change. Unfortunately the story continued and the ending became a bit predictable
