I always enjoy T.M. Logan’s stories and I was excited to receive a copy of his latest book The Curfew.
Andy and Laura are worried when their son Connor and his friends are mixed up in an incident after a house party.
Andy sets out to find the truth about what happened.
A story with some twists and turns that kept me entertained.

Every book I read by Logan is so good but he just keeps getting better and better with each new release! The Curfew is by FAR his best book EVER! I love to theorize and kept trying to come up with theories as I read but I was honestly stumped! At the same time, I was enraptured with every page and I just had to know what happened next! I had no clue who to blame or be mad at! (Except Creepy Crosby. There wasn’t a single page where I felt anything but disgust for that creeper. lol)
Do yourself a favor and read this book!!! I already can’t wait for Logan’s next one! I’m wondering how he will get any better than this! xxx

This is not my favourite book by the author but it was a high standard of writing and had an interesting plot. I did struggle to get into the read and I failed to empathise with the characters. The pace was very slow but I really wanted to find out what happened to Emily. A book full of deceit and a plot revolving round a missing teenager, I am sure fans will enjoy it. Thanks to Net Galley for my ARC.

The Curfew follows Andy, Laura, and their children, Connor and Harriet. Connor is one of five teenagers who went into the woods one night, but only four came out, with Connor being the prime suspect in the disappearance. What follows is an intricate tale built on lies, evasion, and deceit. One thing I really enjoy about T.M. Logan’s writing is the way he puts ordinary people in the most extraordinary situations, creating an addictive thriller that begs to be read in one huge, satisfying sitting.

Told primarily from the perspective of Connor’s dad, Andy, we experience his fear, worry, regret, and determination to get to the truth. As parents, it’s understandable that Andy and Laura would do anything to protect Connor, but has their judgement been clouded by their loyalty to their son? As the reader, we don’t have that loyalty, so we can see the Inconsistencies, half truths and lies peppered through Connor’s narrative. Connor’s account of the events that night are frustratingly vague, but that’s what makes this book such a gripping read, as the author slowly but deftly reveals what happened that night.

There are some really interesting characters in this book. I especially liked Harriet, Connor’s sister. She’s adorable and intelligent and determined. A Miss Marple in the making! It was interesting to see how Andy and his brother Ben’s relationship fractures as both become desperate to shield their sons from suspicion. The Curfew would make a brilliant tv series with all its twists and turns, it addictive, fast-paced, with plenty of mystery to keep you entertained. Highly recommended.

Rating: 4.5/5

I have to confess that my previous experiences of reading books by Tim Logan have ended in varying degrees of disappointment. Either they have flattered to deceive, or else that have just not lived up to the level of hype surrounding them. I can level no such criticism at his latest novel. "The Curfew" is far and away the best and most accomplished piece of work that I have read by this author.

I won't rehash the plot - the official synopsis contains all of the information you need to get started, without the risk of any annoying spoilers from me. However, I will happily say that this novel provides just about everything that a good thriller should - and it delivers it very well: The premise is enticing and the plot is credible. The characterisation is some of the best I have come across in a good while. Tim Logan has succeeded in creating a cast that genuinely feels real and relatable, backed up by dialogue that is natural and appropriate. I also though the pace was excellent. Yes, there are times when events develop a little more slowly - but only when it is fitting for them to do so. At other times there is palpable sense of urgency, which is reflected in the writing style. The overall effect of these components coming together is a novel that not only grabs the attention, but keeps a firm hold of it and delivers ample amounts of drama, without ever overstepping the mark and becoming needlessly melodramatic.

I would be very surprised if the option to bring this to the screen isn't taken up - it simply screams that it is a mini-series simply waiting to be made. In the meantime, if you are a fan of tense, atmospheric thrillers, or simply someone who appreciates well-written fiction of any genre, then this is one to add to your reading list.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for supplying an ARC in return for an honest review.

Having read The Holiday, Trust Me and Lies I was really looking forward to T M Logan’s latest book and I wasn’t disappointed! This will be the big summer read I predict and it’s one that will be a welcome addition to your suitcase that’s for sure

Loved this book. It had my interest right from the beginning. It was full of twists and turns, and left you wondering what was going to happen next. It is full of strong characters especially the computer nerd that is Connors young sister. The whole story is set over a 4/5 day period so it was very easy to get involved in the storyline. I must admit to binge reading as I found it exceptionally difficult to put down, and just another chapter ended up at 4am as I really had to finish it. The ending was very strong which is always a bonus, and until the last 20% of the book you had no idea about what was going to happen and why.

I have read all of T M Logan's novels and they have all been brilliant, including this one. 'The Curfew' is about an ordinary family who have boundaries such as Connor's curfew. Connor is sixteen and one night one of his close friends goes missing.

Connor, his cousin Zac and their friends Emily, Drew and Olivia often go into the local woods. One night only four of the teenagers return to their respective homes. Dr. Andy Boyd, Connor's father, is horrified when it becomes apparent that Connor is the prime suspect in Emily's disappearance and is determined to uncover the truth and clear his son's name.

There are twists and turns and a clever ending.

Many thanks to NetGalley, Bonnier Books and T M Logan for another exceptional read.

How far would you go to protect your child? Sunday morning and Rob Boyd calls his brother Andy to say his son Zac didn't come home last night and to ask if he's with his cousin Connor. Rob says no Connor is at home in bed and was home by curfew. Then a local girl, Emily Ruskin is reported missing, Zac and Connor were with her the night before. Doubts arise about Connor's whereabouts but Andy and his wife Laura convince themselves that he must have come home when he said. Then the police call.

Brilliant read - keeps you guessing right to the end as to what has happened to Emily and who could be responsible. The tension mounting all the way through.

Thanks to Netgalley, Zaffre and T M Logan for the ARC of this book in return for an honest review.

I have enjoyed all of TM Logan's books and this was excellent. The moral dilemmas faced by the parents causes you to consider how far you would go yourself to protect a child. It was gripping and suspenseful and a great read.

Wow!!! I throughly enjoyed this book despite having rated the other TM Logan’s poorly! The plot is so much better and the story builds in a very good way, throughly enjoyed piecing things together. Crime fans are throughly going to love this!

Thank you to NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book.

This story follows a family, and the choices they make, when a teenager goes missing. Lots of secrets are exposed, and the whole situation really tests the family on how far they would go to protect their own son, especially when pitted against other members of the same family.

This story was a real eye opener on how much we lose our children when they get to a teenage age, we lose sight of their basic likes and dislikes, and they end up having this whole life you’re completely unaware of. But all that aside, you’d still go to the ends of the earth for the,. And protect them at all costs. This story also tackled real and current issues, such as social media trolls, drink spiking, loss of a parent, and teenage worries and anxieties.
There were lots of red herrings, twists, and turns throughout the whole book, and all those ended in an ending that I didn’t see coming. Everyone starts to suspect everyone, and it seems lots of people have a motive for wanting the teenager to be gone.
It was well written, and another page turner from an author who never fails to deliver.

This might be my favourite yet from T M Logan, a family drama and psychological thriller which is a genuinely addictive page turner.

Two brothers at odds when a girl goes missing, both desperate to shield their sons from suspicion, this forms the heart of this novel and it is a twisty mystery indeed. Some excellent characters, especially the extremely intelligent sister (you'll see) and the suspense is beautifully managed right up to the final reveal.

Overall a fantastic read. Far better at plotting than Coben (in my opinion) let's hope for a Netflix show. Recommended.

Thanks netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read an early copy of this book.
I usually love T M Logan’s books but I thought this one was dragged out too long, and halfway through the book I really was not bothered by Emily being missing.
Connor had a curfew and had to be home at that time,, but he was not home instead his cousin was in his bed.
Emily went missing and Connor was the suspect as he was missing the night he did not make his curfew.
The story was too long for me.

Firstly a big thank you to the publishers for my copy to review on netgalley . I’m a huge fan of this author who just gets better and better.

Is your son telling the truth?

What happened that night? These are questions that are taunting Andy . As a mum to teenagers I understand and relate the worries and fears.

A close up examination of domestic life and what happens when something falls out of place.

Fantastically gripping and addictive as we race to find the truth. Fast paced and has you hooked from the first page .

TM Logan’s latest thriller, The Curfew, kicks off when Andy’s teenage son Connor misses his curfew. The next day, Andy finds out that one of Connor’s school friends has gone missing, and it looks increasingly likely that Connor might be implicated in her disappearance. I’ve enjoyed all Logan’s previous thrillers – except The Holiday – and this was equally gripping, if ultimately quite forgettable. Logan’s best books, such as Trust Me and 29 Seconds, tend to have more original, ingenious premises – I’ve read a lot of thrillers about a teenager disappearing in the woods. However, Logan is still one of my go-to writers for efficient prose and page-turning plots. Recommended for fans of Riley Sager’s thrillers and MJ Cross’s What She Saw Last Night.

This was a good thriller. It was fast-paced and gripping. The characters were interesting and “teenage attitude” was accurately described. The plot was twisty and engaging. I’m just not sure why Andy didn’t get his comeuppance for accessing patient files etc.

The Curfew is another fantastic book from the amazing T.M Logan. This was centred around an ordinary family Andy, Laura, Connor and Harriet, who find themselves in unthinkable circumstances and their search for the truth of just what happened when five teenagers went into the woods one night but only four came out. There were so many twists and turns in this book which had me crying out in surprise in some places and the final twist was something I did not see coming at all.
I highly recommend The Curfew.

T.M.Logan does it again. This book sent shivers down my spine. My children are the same age as Connor and Harriet. Many an evening I’ve laid in bed making sure my son comes in. Worrying about what he could be up to and where he is.
Dr Andy Boyd and his wife Laura go through a parents worst ordeal. Connor was with a group of kids but one didn’t make it home. Connor is keeping quiet and the finger of suspicion points firmly at him. However, Andy knows his son couldn’t have done anything. Or could he?
You find yourself firmly rooting for the Boyd family who have a great dynamic. This was certainly a quick read as I devoured the pages at great speed. Bravo Tim. Another bestseller on your hands.
Many thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to see an arc
