In The Curfew, a group of teenagers go out partying and one fails to return home. Andy and Laura's son Connor is suspected of being involved in the disappearance of the missing girl and along with their daughter Harriet, Andy is determined to find the truth. This is the second T. M. Logan book I've read and although the plot didn't feel hugely original it is a well written, gripping, twisty and compelling read. If you like Harlan Coben and Linwood Barclay I'd recommend this thriller.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this digital ARC.

Andy and his wife Laura are good parents, allowing their son to meet with friends as long as he sticks to his curfew. One night after completing his exams, Connor goes out to celebrate, promising to return for his curfew at midnight. When he misses the curfew, a series of events are set in motion that will change the lives of five families. Five teenagers entered the woods that night, but only four came out... Can Andy and Laura get to the bottom of the mystery before Connor pays dearly?

Another brilliant book from T. M. Logan. The plot is thrilling and keeps you guessing right until the end. Full of interesting characters, twists and turns, and shocks and surprises. Recommended!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy of the book in return for my honest feedback.

I always find T.M Logan’s books enjoyable and great page turners and this was no different. His books are fast paced, have interesting characters and intriguing plots. In my opinion the plots are fairly straightforward but nevertheless exciting and very enjoyable.

Andy and Laura are caring parents and try to raise him the best they can. He is allowed to go out with his friends but must obey their rules. So on the completion of Connor’s exams he decides to celebrate by going out with his friends but is given the proviso by Andy and Laura that he is back home by midnight. But when misses his curfew, it sets off a series of events that will change the lives of five families forever. Connor and four of his friends went into the woods that night but one of them never came out.
Well written, page turner that keeps you gripped. I find this author so consistent and always look forward to reading his latest novel.

I would like to thank both Netgalley and Bonnier Books for supplying a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

This was an intriguing thriller with family at its core. When sixteen year old Connor is given a midnight curfew for celebrating the end of his GCSEs it initially appears he stuck to it but events soon spiral out of control and he finds himself arrested and his parents find themselves lying to the police to protect him. When it soon becomes apparent he’s prime suspect in the disappearance of his missing teen friend his family are torn apart trying to get to the truth. Told primarily from the perspective of his dad we experience his worry, confusion, disbelief and determination to get to the truth. Connor is quite a mysterious character in this and it was interesting to see how the relationship between Connors dad and his own brother soon disintegrated under pressure. Most of all I really lived Connors quirky twelve year old sister Harriet who had more about her than any of the adults in this, she deserves another book in her own right! The story was compelling and the gradual revelations about the missing girl added some interesting twists and perspectives, overall it kept me gripped until the end. 9/10

Underlying Menace…
Underlying menace from the off in this fast paced, staccato suspense which keeps the reader gripped from first page throughout to denouement. With a well crafted cast of characters, a compelling premise, an immersive storyline and a realistic narrative this is a tense, one sit, absorbing suspense. Bravo!

T.M.Logan, one of the king's of stories featuring ordinary people finding themselves caught up in unexpected and very often dangerous situations returns with his latest addictive thriller.

This fast paced thriller is narrated predominantly from the perspective of Dr Andy Boyd who finds his life plunged into a living nightmare after one of the friends of his sixteen year old son Connor mysteriously disappears. Connor, his cousin Zac and their friends Emily, Drew and Olivia had been hanging out in the woods near Connor's home one night but after they went their separate ways only four of the teenagers had returned to their respective homes. Andy is horrified when it becomes apparent that Connor is the prime suspect in Emily's disappearance and is determined to uncover the truth and clear his son's name. A task that was made more complicated by Connor's refusal to talk about what had happened that night and cooperate with the police investigation. What secrets was Connor harbouring? Was he keeping quite to protect his cousin Zac? Why had did Adam's brother Rob suddenly appear to be ghosting him? Who knew the truth behind Emily's disappearance and what had actually happened to her? Was Connor as innocent as Andy and his wife Laura believed him to be or had their judgement been clouded by parental loyalty?

Scattered throughout the story was chapters that were written from the perspectives of various other characters including Connor, Emily and my favourite character Harriet who was Connor's highly intelligent, younger sister. Despite the fact that she was only twelve, her investigative skills put the so called professionals to shame but would her prowess as a amateur detective result in her own life being placed in jeopardy?

Omg,wow....just wow,I really really loved this captivating, fast paced, addictive page turner that had me hooked in and glued to my kindle from the first page. It's a extremely well written thriller that has a cast of vivid, realistic characters, some trustworthy, some not so trustworthy and a plot that keeps the reader guessing. Many of the chapters are short and snappy and end in a way that gives the reader a very bad case of just one more chapter syndrome. T.M.Logan has excelled his own very high standards of writing with this latest addition to his catalogue of addictive thrillers. Worth far more than five stars and very very highly recommended.

The Curfew by T. M. Logan

The curfew
Andy and Laura are good parents. They tell their son Connor that he can go out with friends to celebrate completing his exams, but he must be home by midnight.
The lie
When Connor misses his curfew, it sets off a series of events that will change the lives of five families forever.
The truth?
Because five teenagers went into the woods that night, but only four came out. And telling the truth might mean losing everything...I
Loved The Holiday , loved Trust Me , and I think love The Curfew as well .
T.M. Logan has the ability of grabbing you from the first page and taking you on a ride til the last.
With this one you can feel the ominous suspense building from the first chapter , and you can't quite shake off the feeling someone isn't being honest in their account , and some of the characters are not quite how they seem to be. Lots of twists , and a few shocks along the way.
Brilliant.

I'm a big fan of the author so I was really excited to read his latest. I would say that I enjoyed it. It wasn't my favourite of his but it was still a very high standard of writing and an interesting plot.

I liked main character Andy - I thought he was very well written and his actions and decisions all made sense in the situation that he was in. I really like TM Logan's writing style, everything is really well described and easy to picture whilst reading. The plot did hold my interest and I was intrigued to find out what had happened to missing teenager Emily.

The only drawback for me was the pacing, it did feel very slow. I feel like around 100 pages could have easily been cut without losing anything, but hurrying the story along a little bit.

Overall I would recommend this book as it was an enjoyable, interesting read but is definitely quite a slow-burner.

Thanks to Netgalley and Zaffre for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Andrew's high school aged son has a curfew and he never misses getting home on time until one night when a lot of strange things happen, one of his friends goes missing, and he won't tell the police what he knows.

3.5 stars.

This book was a quick read, nothing groundbreaking, but entertaining enough. I have read all of this author's books and still like his first, Lies, the best. This one wasn't quite as fast paced and I wasn't as engaged and really needing to know what was going on here like I was with Lies. That said, I do like this author and will continue reading his books.

T.M. Logan is a brilliant author. And this is his best work. I was guessing until he revealed the truth. What a thriller. Loved it.
