I just finished reading Home for Christmas by Camila Isley. Thank you NetGalley for an advance copy. This book begins with a rental mixup that forces two families (strangers) to come together for the Christmas Holiday. This forced cohabitation brings Riven and Wendy together and let the romance begin. It is an "enemy" to lover romance, but really more of a friends (with feelings) to lover romance. I really enjoyed this book and liked that the author let them spend more than that first week together to find love. They way they get this extra time together isn't the norm and I really like how much better it builds their romance. I really loved this book and now will need to go back and read the previous ones in the series! 4.5 stars!

Thanks to NetGalley, BooksGoSocial, and Camilla Isley for the ARC of this book. Home For Christmas is the story of a double booking for the holidays that turns into a slow burn romance.
I really enjoyed the dual POV storytelling in this cute and sweet romance. The book was an easy read and quite enjoyable.
Camilla Isley really brings the characters to life. The families, the friends, Wendy and Riven themselves. Wendy and Riven are characters that you care about. Neither annoying.
I did feel like the ending was very abrupt, though happy, and the wolf story was kind of just there and ended abruptly as well.
All in all, this book is definitely one to read!

A miscommunication with a real estate agency results in Riven and Wendy's families spending a tightly cramped Christmas together. After the initial shock stress of accommodating all 16 people in a 4 bedroom cabin wears off, the two main characters begin a back and forth of playful banter and hilarious pranks, but will it lead to more?

I really wanted to love this. It promised me all of my favorite things: enemies to lovers, a Christmas romance, a book about books. Unfortunately, it fell flat for me.

The book was very readble. I flew through it. I enjoyed the banter between the main characters as the book progressed, and the prank scenes were fun.

However, the stars of the book were the parents, as well as Danny and Mindy, the main characters' best friends. I need Mindy to have her own book.

A few of my issues with the book were that it is not a true enemies to lovers. Riven and Wendy dislike each other for a total of one day. I need more conflict and tension. Make me believe they are enemies, that they hate each other.

Also, it isn't really a Christmas book. Christmas was only a small portion of the story. I'd call it a winter story.

Further, the ending felt rushed and the subplot about the wolf had no point, and I would rather of it not been included at all.

If you like spiciness in your romances, note that all steamy scenes are off page.

Thank you to Netgally for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Thanks to Net-Galley and publishers for providing the arc in exchange for my honest review.

Since I am still missing Christmas, this hit the spot perfectly. Enemies to lovers, Christmas, family & bickering what more do you need?
I really, really enjoyed this. And I will be reading other twos cause I loved her writing and the story. The ending is predictable - like all romcom - but it is so cute.

Home for Christmas is a very funny, slow burn rom com.
This winter story set in a snowy little town in Utah was so entertaining that it brought me some warm and cheereness.

The Nicholses need a change of scenery for this year Christmas. The Clarks have to change their plans for a Californian Christmas after a pipe burst. They find themselves in the same cabin over in Park City, Utah, for a week. Once they overcome the initial shock to share the house with a bunch of total strangers, they succeed to enjoy their time in the company of some nice people.

Wendy Nichols, a new yorker screenwriter, and Riven Clark, a californian writer, are the most reluctant at sharing their room with each other, but when they lower their defenses and really get to know each other they understand that maybe their first judgement was not the right one.
I loved Wendy and Riven interactions, their bantering is captivating and really really funny. It was nice to follow their journey from their initial hostility and distaste to their comfortable friendship and easy relationship.

I'm recommending this book to you if you like sweet reads and rom coms.

This book was a fun, laugh-out-loud book. I was pleasantly surprised with the turn of events that took place throughout the story; it wasn't one of those predictable romance stories.
I was a bit disappointed with the lack of spicy romance scenes (there were none). I also couldn't quite wrap my head around Wendy still being hung up on a guy after 9 months who she only knew for like two months.

Cute cozy book but I just didn’t fall in love with either of the main characters. In my head based on the similarities I kept comparing it to in a holidaze by Christina Lauren. The ending didn’t have me wowed and truly the timeline of this book made me wish it was in my hands in December! . I did love the enemies to lovers in the book honestly I’m such a sucker for that trope!

Thank you net galley for the ARC!

This cute, easy read rom-com is the perfect book to curl up with on a nice snowy winters day! A double booking at a quaint cabin brings these unlikely to ever meet families together. The book flows easily and most of the characters are very likeable. Especially Wendy's best friend, who was definitely my favorite character.
The banter and tension that builds between sexy author, Riven, and the beautiful Wendy is entertaining and had me laughing out loud at times.
I can already cast the characters for the Hallmark Christmas Movie version of this book! This is book three of Camilla Isley's Christmas Romantic Comedy series. I will definitely be reading the first two books! If you are looking for a light quick read, I would definitely recommend this book.

Thank you to NetGalley for my e-ARC of this title, received in exchange for an honest review.

Overall I enjoyed this book. It was a cute and fun Christmas-themed enemies-to-lovers romance. I love a good Hallmark Christmas movie type book and Home for Christmas fully provided those cozy, sweet feels. Thank you for the opportunity to read!

Home for Christmas was a cute read for me that helped me with my reading slump. I loved the setting, the main idea of two large families sharing a cabin was exciting, and the side characters have my heart (especially Mindy and Danny). I just wish there was more conflict in the book to justify the enemies to lovers trope. While the main leads did start on a wrong foot, I feel like it was resolved too quickly. Also, the ending felt kind of rushed and could have been better with some more build up and details.

Oh my days this book was SO CUTE! The Christmas theme was prevalent, but not so strong that you could read this well before or after the holiday without feeling weird about not reading it at Christmas. I loved the banter between Wendy and Riven! Much like Isley promised, I was left with a warm fuzzy feeling upon completion. Highly recommend for fans of enemies to lovers, emotionally unavailable men, annoying exes, and witty banter.

Reading this in February was slightly out of season, but Home for Christmas was such a fun and sweet read, one I thoroughly enjoyed. Enemies to lovers is always a hit for me, and Riven and Wendy’s banter only further reminded me why I like this trope so much! I would totally recommend. Thank you NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

3.5 stars!

Holiday vibes, forced proximity and the one-bed trope? Sign me up!

It’s the holidays, what better time than to vacation at a ski resort! Too bad there’s no vacancy anywhere. When a double-booking situation forces Wendy’s family to share a small cabin with Riven’s family, what else could go wrong?

Riven and Wendy may have gotten off on the wrong foot, but they surely warmed up to each other as they spent more time together. I LOVE RIVEN AND WENDY’S BANTER. Their interactions with one another had me giggling like a schoolgirl at recess. And the sexual tension between them? IMMACULATE. The pranks that they play with one another? COMICAL.

I loved seeing the family dynamic between the two families, the interactions were so wholesome.

My only criticism for this book was that the details were lacking, especially with the ending. The ending felt rushed and I felt as if Riven should’ve fought more for Wendy.

Overall, I devoured this book within 2 days, probably less if I didn’t have to be anywhere. This book was such a cute read with the fade to black scenes. It’s fast-paced and short. I’d recommend this to anyone who is in a reading slump and has nostalgia over the holiday season.

what happens when two families has to accidentally share one cabin in middle of nowhere? exactly. chaos. and in the middle of it, two writers who have deadlines to write to, too busy hating each other until they don't. wink wink.

it is perfect, cozy, snowy and feels-good novel to pick up during winter.

I would firstly just like to say a big thank you to NetGalley for very kindly forwarding me an arc copy of this book, for my Kindle, in return for my honest review.

Home For Christmas is a wonderful, heartwarming, romantic comedy and was a perfect Christmas read. It was full of funny moments that had me laughing along in quite a few places!!
It was a great enemies to lovers trope and I really enjoyed all the characters and getting to know them all.
Right from the very beginning this book grabbed me, pulled me in and wouldn’t let me go until I had finished reading it!
I absolutely loved this book and Wendy and Riven were just perfect for each other.
This book was such a funny and sweet read and I was left with a very big smile on my face.

This book was a cute romantic comedy about two families trapped together for Christmas due to a double booking issue. The main couple are both writers, and I liked how they could bond over that. But, it went from being about the two families to only about the two main characters in a short period of time, making it feel rushed. The lead-up to everything that happened was good, but the last quarter of the book felt like it should have been at least half of the book. The connection between the couple seemed genuine but not 100% believable because of the short time that the relationship happened over. Overall, it was a cute story!

Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for letting me read and review this title!

Home for Christmas is the third book in the Christmas Romantic comedy saga by Camilla Isley and, as it's name suggests, is focused on Christmas romance. As all her books it's short, quick to read and I've enjoyed it very much.

Synopsis: Wendy is a play writer who finds herself in a situation with her family because her mother refuses to celebrate Christmas at her home because she remembers her deceased husband. This is how everyone ends up going to a cabin in the snow to spend Christmas. The problem is that this cabin is occupied by the famous writer Riven who has gone to write in his new novel after being cheated on by his soon to be ex-wife and while carrying out his divorce. At first and after long phone calls by her sister, Riven will go home for Christmas but a breakdown prevents the family from celebrating Christmas at home in L. A. and they set out to celebrate Christmas in Riven's cabin. So, 16 people, 1 cabin, a share bedroom, and a fatal first start. Could they go from enemies to lovers?

In my opinion, I saw a great change in the writing style and in the characters personalities (I read all the First Comes Love saga so I can tell) and I LOVE IT. I mean I think Camilla has develop her writing and characters and is growing as a writer every time a new book is out for us to read. So yeah this book is a 5 star from me to her.

*WARNING: SPOILERS BELOW*

I laugh so much, I love so much Wendy and Riven. I cried loud when she gets her pink hair. I love the tension of when they will get closer, when they will kiss, when they will accept what they feel. I love their friends Mindy and Danny so YES PLEASE WRITE THEIR STORY I'M BEGGING FOR IT BECAUSE I NEED IT. AND THE STORY OF RIVEN'S BOOK FANS CLARISSA AND AIDEN AS WELL. (sorry for the caps I got excited)

And of course I was dead when I read in the note from the author that Camilla is going to write now Sweet Love and Country Roads. The wait will have its reward.
