Thanks to NetGalley and The Publisher for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Another entertaining installment of the Women's Murder Club although not much Women's Murder Club, but rather a Lindsay and Joe story. Good for fans of the series but not one for newbies.

I love this series and all the characters in it. The action always starts from the get go and there’s a great mix of all the main characters throughout the book.
The storyline keeps you on edge throughout and the back grounds of all the characters throughout the series makes you feel like you know them all.
I really like the short chapters of James Pattersons books, they always make for easier reading.
I look forward to the next one.

This is already the 22nd book in the Woman Murder club series, and even though the book is not as brilliant as the previous ones, it was still a good read, and I will read the next one eagerly!

Not quite as good as the usual books in this series although it was easy to read and raised some good points regarding gun laws etc.
I don’t know why I couldn’t quite immerse myself in the plot like I usually can but it just didn’t pull me in.
I look forward to the next book.

I will be a Women's Murder Club fangirl until the day I die. There is not a single entry into this series that has left me anything less than impressed. 22 Seconds is yet another fantastic instalment and a captivating read. A warm welcome hug back into the family I've been a part of for over a decade. Lindsay's continual character development is astounding, just when I think we know her and could learn nothing new!? - I've loved watching her make mistakes and grow and just be HUMAN!

Bravo JP!!

This is the latest in the Women’s Murder Club series by Patterson and Paetro, following five women brought together over twenty years ago through their occupations. In this time they’ve been through a lot together and become a close knit group.

This was a fast paced thriller with the writers usual style of short chapters although I felt at times they were just too short and that the storyline would flow better if they were longer. I wasn’t as hooked on this book as others in the series, but it was still an enjoyable read and I look forward to finding out what happens to the Women’s Murder Club next.

Thanks to NetGalley and Random House UK, Cornerstone for the review copy.

Another excellent Womens Murder club novel with numerous mysteries involving arms and drug running.
James Patterson - Paetro never fail to deliver
A fast-paced page turner

Usually love these books and embrace the pure escapist, easy reading element of them. 22 Seconds, although easy to read and although perfecly enjoyable somehow didn't quite capture my attention in the way the rest of the series did.
Boxer and her Murder Club friends were as appealing as ever with differetn subplots upping the ante, therefore I suppose that perhaps the subject matter wasn;t to my taste.
A good, enjoyable read, nonetheless

#22Seconds #NetGalley I have not been in since the beginning of this series, I think I started at book 10 but for me book 22 is the best yet! A really gritty story line showing the four friends at their best. Plenty of action and twists and turns to keep you guessing. I look forward to the next book in this series!

Another of the womens murder club series. Gripping as usual. Paterson never disappoints! Recommended

I've read only a couple of the books in the "Womens Murder Club"-series, and thus wasn't so familiar with all the names, their respective professions and partners. But with the help of Google I had it soon all figured out. Plus, after a few chapters the story focusses on one character (and her partner), which made it easier to follow everything.

As usual, James Patterson uses very short chapters and also jumps around in settings and sometimes even point of view. This makes it very fast paced, but also a bit hectiv. A couple of times I wished I could have stayed longer in one chapter.

But overall I enjoyed this newest addition to his "Womens Murder Club" a lot. I used to prefer his Alex Cross series, but I have to say that this book here is just as good.

I am grateful to Net Gally and the publisher for an ARC copy in return for an honest review.
Some critics say that Patterson’s work is formulaic and his ‘headlining’ with co-authors lacks something unique. However, anyone who has sold more than 375 million copies worldwide is doing something right, and I declare that I am a fan of his work.
I had not read a Women’s Murder Club title before, and I was surprised to read that this was his 22nd book in the series. So again, the formula clearly works.
I found it a wonderful page-turner, with twists and turns in every chapter, and an ending that is still suspenseful. The characters are very real, and you could visualise and empathise with their lives, problems, and concerns.
It was well written as ever by James Patterson and a thoroughly enjoyable read. He knows how to keep the reader interested throughout his book and this one was no exemption.
The storyline moved at a good pace without too much extraneous detail, though I found some things at the start a little confusing, with cops being taken by cartel members and then suddenly at home.
However, a central theme of crooked cops acting in a compromising way kept me reading and learning more about the members of the Women’s Murder Club.
I would highly recommend it to those who love this genre.

As an avid reader and HUGE fan of JP for near on THIRTY years I'm sad to say that even though 22 Seconds was a good solid read, I didn't enjoy it as much as the previous 21 🙈🙈🙈

I'm not 100% sure why it didn't grab me as much BUT I think it was partly because this novel was more about the actual case than it was about the Womans Murder Club and their own lives, usually there is also something else going on with the 4 members of the WMC but not so much this time around apart from a story mostly centred around Lindsay and her husband Joe with a side story thrown in of Claire and a dead child,

The main storyline is based around stricter laws on ex-military weapons that lead to smuggling and protests.

This has always been one of my favourite JP series, following the stories of Lindsay the Detective, Claire the Pathologist, Yuki the Lawyer and Cindy the Journalist but it just didn't seem to gel like usual in this installment.

I'm usually able to write a long and rambling 'fan girling' review on near on 100% of JPs books but unfortunately this just had something missing for me.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't hate it but I also didn't love it!

I think for the first time ever I'm giving a 3* to a James Patterson book which actually saddens me.

With thanks to netgalley and Random House UK for the ARC.

I expected better from this author. If you have followed the series since the beginning you know who is who so don't need reminding who they are or who they are married to during a chapter - fillers or what!

The storyline was so so and rather cliche. At one point Lindsay and her husband Joe are in separate places so not to orphan Jules their daughter if the sh*t hits the fan during the bust. However, in the next part of the bust off they go together in a truck!

I received this book from netgalley in return for a honest review.

To say James Patterson is prolific is an understatement in the extreme. ’22 Seconds’ is the 22nd novel in the Women’s Murder Club series which is just one of the many series he has written or co-written and although I haven’t read even half of them they all have a distinctive style. So if you have read any of his previous novels and enjoyed it then this is for you.
SFPD detective Lindsey Boxer and her ex FBI agent husband Joe are the main protagonists in this outing as they try and solve a series of murders and stop a major illegal arms shipment from Mexico. The story rattles along at a fast pace as expected.

Another fantastic novel from one of the masters of thriller & suspense, would definitely recommend. What more is there to say?

22 Seconds has the ladies back again!  Cindy is writing a book about a serial killer from the 21st book.  Suki is prosecuting someone, Claire is looking into the death of a girl, and Lindsay and Joe are mixed up in a second amendment issue (the right to bear arms).

There is a lot going on, as ever, and these feel like quite hot topics at the moment, so this adds to the book.

22 Seconds was published on 28th April 2022, and is available from Amazon, Waterstones and Bookshop.org.

You can follow James Patterson on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and his website.

I'm afraid I couldn't find any links for Maxine Paetro for you to follow.

I was given this book in exchange for an unbiased review, so my thanks to NetGalley and to Random House.

22 seconds its the 22nd installment of the womans murder club series - not a series I was familiar with prior to reading this.

Maxine Paetro's influence in this is really noticed, the writing style is slightly different from James Pattersons usual style and it took me a while to get into it.

The start is super gripping, but i was a bit confused about what was going on. Once the book got traction I really did nto want to put it down.

I am eager to discover the rets of the womans murder club books!

Exactly what we want and expect from a James Paterson.

Fast paced thriller that keeps you hooked from the start.

Perfect holiday read.
