Yo-Yo is a fidgety, giggly, wriggly bunny – even Grandpa’s yoga class doesn’t calm her down. But, when Yo-Yo finds herself lost and alone and frightened, something comes back to her. Little by little she remembers the different poses Grandpa patiently taught them, and as she does so – her mind slows down, and she is able to remember the right way home. Phew! Deborah Allwright’s effervescent illustrations capture YoYo’s exuberance wonderfully. This is a charming story, the hugely likeable main character Yo-Yo is guaranteed to make you smile.

Every Bunny is a Yoga Bunny is a calm and joyful picture book about being mindful… some of the time! A perfect bedtime tale.

This is such a gorgeous story, Yo-Yo is so relatable and I loved how it deals with anxiety too and uses this to help teach the reader about yoga and how it can help them stay calm and relaxed, showing some moves. The Yoga it uses to show are great examples and so easy to try and replicate, so you can settle into your first bit of release

This is such a cute, beautifully illustrated and magical little children's book, about a hyper little bunny who just can't sit still, being taught yoga, breathing and mindfulness by her awesome Grandpa. Will he be able to teach her how to be calm, focused and mindful?

My daughter and I loved this story, and my daughter really enjoyed doing all the yoga poses which were displayed using cute bunnies out in nature.

This is an amazing little book, which is so much fun, and it is such a treasure, with easy to read sections explaining each pose in a way that is easy for children to understand. Highly recommended for all the little yogis in your life!

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Every Bunny is a Yoga Bunny is the beautifully illustrated story of Yo-Yo, a very fidgety bunny who can’t sit still and we love that way that Grandpa’s yoga class gives Yo-Yo and young readers a great introduction to easy yoga poses.

Emily Ann Davison’s easy to read text bounces along like Yo-Yo. I’ve always been a fan of Deborah Allwright’s illustrations and her bunnies in this story are absolutely fabulous – they have such wonderfully emotive expressions as they try to copy Grandpa’s yoga poses

The story would be fabulous to read to a group of children and lends itself beautifully to joining in - children can copy Grandpa’s poses as they listen to the story. Six easy yoga poses are introduced at the end of the book, all demonstrated by Yo-Yo..

Yoga is a popular pastime in our house. With three wriggly, jiggly children, 7 bouncy bunnies, 5 flappy chickens and one squirmy puppy, a sense of calm can be hard to come by and it seems that Yo-Yo feels the same:

Yo-Yo is a fidgety bunny, a bouncy bunny and she just can't sit still. Even Grandpa's yoga classes aren't helping. But when Yo-Yo finds herself lost in a deep, shadowy forest, will Grandpa's yoga help her find her way home?

With stunning illustrations by Deborah Allwright, this is a book that both parents of little ones and little ones themselves will be able to relate to. Keeping those legs and bottoms still is soooo hard, even when you're trying to concentrate. But with a little bit of practise, yoga can really help to focus those busy minds and bodies.

Yo-Yo's energetic and engaging story introduces young readers to some lovely simple poses and breathing techniques which are revisited at the end of the book in a step-by-step instruction guide. There's a gorgeous bedtime ending which follows a challenging dilemma where Yo-Yo is able to apply her learning. It really is the perfect book to help stretch bodies, calm minds and bring families together, whether that's before bedtime or at any time during a busy day where there's a need to take five. It's a massive hit with my three, who actively ask to do yoga and if Yo-Yo can do it...then surely they can too!

Review to come to blog on April 4th (sorry, I just don't have any spaces in my blog this month, if I had gotten this book earlier I may have found a spot).

I received this book from the publisher/Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

I am so happy I got the chance to read this one because I just love yoga and I love bunnies~ It is a perfect combo!

Meet Yo-Yo, a very hyper and active bunny who really reminds me of myself! Throughout the book I was just seeing myself. Just in bunny form! I loved seeing Yo-Yo bounce around, loved seeing her get distracted by pretty butterflies (and girl, I understand that fully), and more! Plus, I loved that her family was trying to help her find some calm and peace and I loved that Yo-Yo at least tried. Though haha, you can guess how it went. Ohh, ticklish grass. Oh, something moves. XD

It was fun to see what was next. I had a laugh, though I also knew that things may just get a tad scarier. Because she is totally going for it! But, since this is a picture book, I knew things would be fine! And I was right! I was so happy for our cute little bunny, not just for finding her way out, but also seeing that yoga does work for her! Again, no spoilers, this is a children's book and 99% of those have HEAs.

Sadly, whereas Yo-Yo worked out that yoga works for her and that she can find some peace and quiet, I know that it won't work with my ADHD brain. Yes, Yoga is fun if it is about the moves and then especially when they are a tad harder to do, but meditation? I tried. I really did. It worked once, I fell asleep when we weren't supposed to. XD But after that. Nothing. I got other mechanisms that work for me to find a bit more quiet. Like doing a lot of exercise (aka let my energy burn) for 10-20 minutes. Or just do multiple things at once to stop the flow of thoughts. XD

The art was really adorable and I just love the style. The colours are great, they really scream SPRING at me, which at time of writing (March 3rd) I could really use.

All in all, a fun book about a cute bunny finding some peace and quiet with meditation~

My 3 year old and I loved reading about Yo-Yo discovering yoga and how useful it can be.
The book tells the story of wiggly, giggly Yo-Yo the bunny who finds it hard to feel calm and still. Grandpa tries introducing Yo-Yo to yoga but she still finds it hard to focus. However, when Yo-Yo finds herself lost in the woods and starting to panic, those yoga tools prove useful.
Such a great story for introducing younger children to yoga - really useful for showing them what yoga looks like, but also why it is useful and how it can be helpful. Reading the story helped us feel calmer too as we joined in with the deep breathing!
Fab colourful illustrations with lots of recognisable countryside plants, butterflies and birds to spot too.
A really lovely book that would be a great addition to any nursery or school's mental health book collection.

I loved the story and Yo-Yo ( What a Beautiful character) . The Yoga shapes to try are perfect and even the less flexible readers, or adults and children with a physical disability. I look forward to buying a copy to share with the children I work with who will benefit from this book.

What a gorgeous book, both the text and the illustrations, for young (and older) readers! Yo-Yo is such a relatable character, especially for a fidget like myself. This is such a great book to help with anxiety too and giving readers the chance to follow some yoga moves and stay calm and relaxed. I love the rhythm and pace of the story and bounding through the pages with Yo-Yo. The Yoga shapes to try are perfect and even the less flexible readers, like myself, can give yoga a go and find some inner peace and settle down for a little bit of relaxation. I will definitely be recommending this book to others.
