Description

A funny, reassuring picture book about yoga, mindfulness and finding calm, from debut author Emily Ann Davison and award-winning illustrator Deborah Allwright.

Yo-Yo is a fidgety, bouncy, can’t-sit-still-EVER type of bunny. Even Grandpa’s yoga class won’t stop her wiggling and giggling! But what will Yo-Yo do when she finds herself lost and all alone in the deep, dark, shadowy forest? Maybe Grandpa’s yoga will help her find the way home...

With a reassuring bedtime ending and three pages of simple step-by-step yoga instructions, children can stretch, breathe and feel calm with Yo-Yo.

What a gorgeous book, both the text and the illustrations, for young (and older) readers! Yo-Yo is such a relatable character, especially for a fidget like myself. This is such a great book to help with anxiety too and giving readers the chance to follow some yoga moves and stay calm and relaxed. I love the rhythm and pace of the story and bounding through the pages with Yo-Yo. The Yoga shapes to try are perfect and even the less flexible readers, like myself, can give yoga a go and find some inner peace and settle down for a little bit of relaxation. I will definitely be recommending this book to others.

I loved the story and Yo-Yo ( What a Beautiful character) . The Yoga shapes to try are perfect and even the less flexible readers, or adults and children with a physical disability. I look forward to buying a copy to share with the children I work with who will benefit from this book.

My 3 year old and I loved reading about Yo-Yo discovering yoga and how useful it can be.
The book tells the story of wiggly, giggly Yo-Yo the bunny who finds it hard to feel calm and still. Grandpa tries introducing Yo-Yo to yoga but she still finds it hard to focus. However, when Yo-Yo finds herself lost in the woods and starting to panic, those yoga tools prove useful.
Such a great story for introducing younger children to yoga - really useful for showing them what yoga looks like, but also why it is useful and how it can be helpful. Reading the story helped us feel calmer too as we joined in with the deep breathing!
Fab colourful illustrations with lots of recognisable countryside plants, butterflies and birds to spot too.
A really lovely book that would be a great addition to any nursery or school's mental health book collection.

Yoga is a popular pastime in our house. With three wriggly, jiggly children, 7 bouncy bunnies, 5 flappy chickens and one squirmy puppy, a sense of calm can be hard to come by and it seems that Yo-Yo feels the same:

Yo-Yo is a fidgety bunny, a bouncy bunny and she just can't sit still. Even Grandpa's yoga classes aren't helping. But when Yo-Yo finds herself lost in a deep, shadowy forest, will Grandpa's yoga help her find her way home?

With stunning illustrations by Deborah Allwright, this is a book that both parents of little ones and little ones themselves will be able to relate to. Keeping those legs and bottoms still is soooo hard, even when you're trying to concentrate. But with a little bit of practise, yoga can really help to focus those busy minds and bodies.

Yo-Yo's energetic and engaging story introduces young readers to some lovely simple poses and breathing techniques which are revisited at the end of the book in a step-by-step instruction guide. There's a gorgeous bedtime ending which follows a challenging dilemma where Yo-Yo is able to apply her learning. It really is the perfect book to help stretch bodies, calm minds and bring families together, whether that's before bedtime or at any time during a busy day where there's a need to take five. It's a massive hit with my three, who actively ask to do yoga and if Yo-Yo can do it...then surely they can too!

Every Bunny is a Yoga Bunny is the beautifully illustrated story of Yo-Yo, a very fidgety bunny who can’t sit still and we love that way that Grandpa’s yoga class gives Yo-Yo and young readers a great introduction to easy yoga poses.

Emily Ann Davison’s easy to read text bounces along like Yo-Yo. I’ve always been a fan of Deborah Allwright’s illustrations and her bunnies in this story are absolutely fabulous – they have such wonderfully emotive expressions as they try to copy Grandpa’s yoga poses

The story would be fabulous to read to a group of children and lends itself beautifully to joining in - children can copy Grandpa’s poses as they listen to the story. Six easy yoga poses are introduced at the end of the book, all demonstrated by Yo-Yo..

This is such a cute, beautifully illustrated and magical little children's book, about a hyper little bunny who just can't sit still, being taught yoga, breathing and mindfulness by her awesome Grandpa. Will he be able to teach her how to be calm, focused and mindful?

My daughter and I loved this story, and my daughter really enjoyed doing all the yoga poses which were displayed using cute bunnies out in nature.

This is an amazing little book, which is so much fun, and it is such a treasure, with easy to read sections explaining each pose in a way that is easy for children to understand. Highly recommended for all the little yogis in your life!

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
