I received this Arc from Netgalley. Thank you for the chance to read this book early. My review is honest and 100% my own thoughts about the book.

This book was an interesting take on vampires and hunters. The main character is a son of a hunter who happens to make friend with vampires at school. Sadly this is against the rules of the hunters.

The Author shows the difficulty the MCs has to go through to keep the family “business” as a vampire hunter in training and the relationship with his friends. These are hard decisions that the hunter needs to make.
The action, adventure, and secrets of it all was amazing.

The synopsis definitely caught my attention but ultimately it wasn’t quite my cup of tea and I ended up having to DNF it, I’m sorry!

Thank you NetGalley and publishers for this ebook.

I honestly thought the written was poorly written. It had a good premis though and that is what caught my attention. The book fell flat for me and I couldnt connect or even found myself liking the characters. I can see a younger crowd (Middle grade) enjoying this book, but for me, it is a pass.

This was an okay read. The cover design was really cool, but the story itself could have been better. I wish there was more time describing things like where the main characters were when they were attacked on the street or something along those effects. I didn’t really feel like there was any real big problem for the characters because there were SO MANY problems that kept coming up and each one was taking a backseat to the others depending on who’s perspective we were reading from. I wasn’t too thrilled about the ending either. Everything neatly wrapped up in a nice little bow for our main characters. No struggles, no loss, no pain. I am not a huge fan of books that work itself out that easily. However, this is an enjoyable read for all vampire loving readers.

I did not finish this book, not because I didn't enjoy, it's just life got in the way and I took a break from reading.
I am still going to give feedback however, as this is one of them books I keep thinking back to and pleasantly remembering bits of the story line.
I will purchase this and continue the read!

This dark fantasy tale is driven by witches, vampires, and vampire hunters, and it follows an average child named Aiden as he discovers his actual nature; he is what is known as the perfect blood.

Aiden and his two best friends, Tyler and Callie, are thrust into a supernatural struggle in which The Dark Witch is reborn and vows vengeance on Vampires.

Aiden quickly realizes that his father is not an engineer, but rather a Master Hunter for the Vampire Hunters Association, which Aiden finds himself prematurely enlisted in after being attacked by a vampire.

This is a YA book, so the deaths aren't too graphic. I also thought it was amusing that the vampires' equivalent of saying "Jesus Christ" is "Bloody Vlad."

I was enjoying this book, then I got a new phone and the book had already gone past its archive date so I wasn't able to finish it.
But what I did read was a fun YA with creatures and magic.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher of this novel for the E-Arc copy. I am rating this book based on my own personal opinion and was not given anything in return. I am not leaving a entire review because I read so many at a time that I physically cannot right now.

The Perfect Blood Series by B. T. Annett is a teen fantasy novel that centers on Aiden Dyer, a boy who never fits in because his fathers job keeps him moving. When they move, yet again, to overcast England Aiden meets a few friends who may hold the secret to him finding his place in the world. That and many more secrets!

This book was a fast paced, fun read that fans of Anna and the Apocalypse, The Walking Dead, and The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod. The found family moments balance out the Vampire hunting and mysterious figures to create a rounded out, exciting vampire tale. I liked the twists the author throws in and the energy that remains high through the entire book. The characters are lovable and it's great to see the story arcs resolve in a satisfying way.

Thanks Netgalley for providing an ARC in return for an honest review!

Entertaining, with clear storylines and well-thought-through world-building.

The series reads quite young- would be perfect for 12-13 year old readers.
The protagonist of the series, 14 year old Aiden Dyer lost his mother when he was still a baby. His father Jason has an important engineering job which means they have to move countries every couple years, so Aiden has become quite good at adapting himself to new circumstances and new schools. This time they are back to , England, where Aiden was born. Strange encounters follow and Aiden unexpectedly finds himself befriended by two vampires- Callie and Taylor. More revelations follow- Aiden's father turns out to be a Master Vampire Hunter hailing from a long line of legendary vampire exterminators and that's not all. Aiden himself isn't just an ordinary boy- he is the carrier of super special Perfect Blood, a rare occurence in the history of this supernatural world. Add a dark magic creature - Dark Witch- who is craving absolute power, something Aiden's blood can give them, and the picture of the upcoming battles is complete.
A large part of the book is about Aiden making friends and trying to figure out his place in this dangerous world which appeared so safe and easy to understand a short time ago. Aiden needs to work out who can and who can't be trusted and learn to defend himself and those he is beginning to care a lot about.
The author got me with the mystery- I thought I had it all worked out, but I was wrong. Can't wait to read the continuation of Aiden's story.

An interesting YA fantasy. It’s very uncomplicated and great for people who want something simple to sink their teeth into. I just wish it had something of substance. Great book, but felt like it was missing something ..

Thanks to NetGalley for giving me a review copy of The Perfect Blood Series by B. T. Annett. The Perfect Blood follows 14 year old Aiden Dyer who moves around a lot for his father's work. Aiden and his father move back to England, to the town his mother murdered, However not everything is as it seems, Aiden's world turns upside down when he finds out his new friends are vampires and his father is a vampire hunter. The premise of this book was so promising, however it just fell flat for me. I wanted to love it but the chosen one aspect was predictable. Definitely felt more like a middle grade than a YA. If you are looking for a cute vampire book with a hint of romance and not much violence give this book a go.

As chaos descends and the Dark Witch who stalks Aiden closes in, Aiden must hurry to find a way to save the supernatural world before it is destroyed.

The Perfect Blood Series is a middle-grade book about a kid who has Perfect Blood and the group of vampires he meets. The core characters are great, Aiden, Callie, and Tyler make a good team. The dad character was a disappointment, he is quite awful. The vampire hunters came across as stereotyped as aggressive jerks. The plot was ok and there is a little mystery about who is the main baddie witch. I am sure it will be a hit with the middle-grade crew.

This story had great ideas but it was easy to guess the twist. I really liked the characters and was rooting for them. Some of the story needs fleshing out a bit more and more background is needed. Also there is mention of a character ‘Lydia’ who isn’t present but she keeps being referenced, it seems really strange.

I feel the premise of this book was amazing; sounded like a dark fantasy that would hook any reader.

I enjoyed the plot of the book and the characters, but feel that maybe it should be targeted at a slightly younger audience. This book would be a perfect introduction to someone starting on their fantasy journey, I think for the cover to match the story it needs to be more detailed on the vampire aspects and the pain of the characters. Not glossed over.

Overall I did enjoy the book; just feel it should be aimed at a younger audience
