I’m not usually a huge fan of self help books or spirituality books, however the title of this book pulled me in to be intrigued. It was a good read, some interesting takes and great wisdom. Worth a read for sure!

Letting Go of Negativity

Beronica Parham, in this book "This Book Found You",
discusses the following topics:
1. Positive Thinking
2. The Power of Subconscious Thoughts
3. Vibrations
4. The Act of Forgiveness
5. The Law of Attraction, and
6. Gratitude

Beronica discusses each of the above topics in further details. Se states changing the way you think and becoming aware of who you truly are takes time because it is a process that requires replacing old negative and bad habits with more positive thoughts that will lead to more positive behavior. Furthermore, she states that we have the ability to control our thinking and the capability of releasing negative thoughts. She states that we must acknowledge what we are feeling, because there is a place for all of our emotions; there is a place for anger, resentment, sadness, fear, and anxiety.
And, in order to acknowledge how one feel, the person should find a quiet place, close their eyes, take a few deep breaths, and say to yourself or out loud:

"I am feeling ___________ (what emotion you are feeling).
This is why I am feeling ___________ (emotion you are feeling).
Even though I am feeling ___________ (emotion you are feeling), I can still accept the way I feel, love myself, and move forward."

She states that the structure allows one to pinpoint what they are feeling and why, and to know that tt is OK to feel what they are feeling. She discusses techniques for remaining positive and the benefits of such.

Some of the things she discusses in becoming a more positive person are that one should limit their exposure to negativity, do not let other people’s negative or unexpected opinions set you back, practice the art of forgiveness, raising your emotional state, being grateful and many other techniques that help one obtain and maintain a positive attitude, while choosing to control what they think.

This book is filled with much information on what to do to avoid the pitfalls of constantly be negative. I recommend it for anyone seeking new avenues on how to handle negativity in their lives.

This book did not seem to resonate with me at all. I think its the right book at the wrong time in my life. So maybe this book DID find me, but I was not yet ready for it to find me. May we meet again at a different point in my life.

'This Book Found You' is a simple yet effective guide to helping you live your life to the fullest. Parham details the importance of positive thinking, the subconscious mind, vibrations, forgiveness, and more.

I enjoyed the introduction to each lesson along with Parham’s personal experiences. Having insight to what she’s experienced, helps the readers feel understood and less alone. I highly recommend this book to those who enjoy self-help or for those who are embarking on their spiritual journey. This is a book that I'll be referring back to now and again for gentle reminders. Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

This felt promising but fell a little short for me. There is nothing groundbreaking here but I did find several great tidbits! I liked how each of the chapters spoke on a different aspect of controlling the mind and thoughts. I think I'd have liked to see some "actionable" items or ways in implement, specifically, into day-to-day thoughts. Overall it was good. It may not stick with me but I did take away some important notes.

This was such a great book! I’m not huge on these inspirational type books, but something about this one just attracted me and made me want to pick it up. It’s perfect for helping you step outside your comfort zone and helps you focus in on what you really want out of life, I loved the chapters on forgiveness and the law of attraction and think there is something for everyone in this book to help improve their current life to the one they dream of having,

This book has the most engaging title, and it really invites you in.
However, the actual substance of the book is pretty poor.
There is nothing new in here. Nothing you haven't already heard.
It's a good reminder - but don't go into this book expecting new, original ideas.

The title is so true! I was looking for books online in the romance genre. When I hit the button for romance it brought up spirituality instead and this was the first book listed! If that’s not a sign from the Universe I don’t know what is! The eye opening information starts in the introduction with the statements on perception and anger. And it continues from there. Chapter one’s statement “positive thinking…is about seeing the obstacle for what it is and being positive that you’ll have the strength to get through it.” Really says it all. Every chapter contains at least one nugget of inspiration. Great book! I highly recommend it.
