A fantastic book full of twists and turns! Loved the characters and their stories. There is nothing better than a thriller that you eat up in one sitting from beginning to end, and it keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very last chapter! Amazing. Love Lisa Jewell’s work and will continue to for a very long time!

This book was absolutely brilliant! I really like Lisa Jewell anyway and was so pleased to be granted an advance copy of this novel. I read this book in two days, I couldn't put it down. Lisa manages to convey real depth to the main characters and you sway between loving or loathing them depending on what's happening. So many twists and turns that you're never sure what way this is going to turn out! I cannot recommend this book highly enough. If you're a fan of suspense, domestic thrillers or psychological books you need to read this.

There's a bit of a trend at the moment for a story to be structured around a podcast or a true crime documentary - feels like I've read a few of these lately - and with None of This is True, Lisa Jewell has managed to incorporate both. Because it's Lisa Jewell and everything she writes is amazing, it's a cracking read.

Alix and Josie meet by chance on their shared forty-fifth birthday. Alix has a podcast interviewing successful women about their lives; Josie, a dissatisfied wife (to the much older Walter) and mother, hardly fits that category. Nevertheless, Josie persuades Alix to interview her, a decision which will inevitably not end well.

We see the story from both women's points of view, and it's fair to say that Josie, in particular, has a lot she's not saying, maybe not even to herself. What is true and what isn't? How can you be sure?

A brilliant read.

This book was SO GOOD! I’ve been a fan of Lisa Jewell for pretty much my whole life, and her latest did not disappoint. The blurb alone is very interesting and I couldn’t wait to dive in. Reading this, I immediately got a creepy “something isn’t right” feeling which Lisa is a master at. This book just kept getting more and more creepy by the page and it was difficult to put down! This one in particular was giving me old V.C. Andrews vibes. This book is a must read and will not disappoint !

What a ride this book was. Now that I've read multiple Lisa Jewell books I know that they all have something in common: they're absolutely unputdownable and I eat them up in a couple of days. None of this is True was no different. I loved it.

Usually Lisa Jewell books have multiple timelines, most of the time one of the points of views is that of a teenager, and this book does not have that. So it's a little different. But I loved it nonetheless. It explores, as the title suggests, the theme of truth, especially in relation to past trauma, family relationships and abuse. The lines on what is moral and what isn't are very blurred (another Lisa Jewell statement), which I really appreciate, because it made me think hard on what I consider to be moral or immoral, good or bad, and this book shows that there's no one truth about it.

I highly recommend this book for fans of Lisa Jewell, she's become an auto-buy-author for me and will read everything she publishes. This story didn't disappoint.

Another brilliant thriller from Lisa Jewell. None of This is True keeps you guessing until the very end. The true crime podcast delivery was really interesting and added to the plot.
4 stars.

Absolute stunner of a book! I raced through thos in less than 24hours, tea was late as I just couldn't put the book down! I couldn't wait to find out how the story was going to unfold. I loved how it was written with the Netflix series and how that brought different characters into the forefront and told the version of events.
Lisa Jewell is a jewell in the Crown of authors and if you don't read this book you will regret it!

Wow wow wow! I absolutely loved this. The way it drew me in and just desperately wanted to know what was happening next is a master stroke! Absolutely sublime from beginning to end. Highly recommended #NoneofthisisTrue #NetGalley

Wow, Lisa Jewell has done it again with this book, a terrific read. Alix Summers is celebrating her 45th birthday at a pub when she meets Josie Fair who is there celebrating her 45th birthday too. Alix is a likeable character but Josie is very strange. Josie makes sure she bumps into Alix again and suggests she would be an interesting subject for Alix's podcast series. This is where the story really gets going. I can fully recommend this book and look forward to Lisa's next book.

Wow wow wow.
Thank you so much for this ARC. I love Lisa Jewells books and I think this one has now become my favourite!
I gobbled it up in 2 days (I have a full time job and 2 kids so this is no mean feat!) And now I'm so sad that it's over. I need more!
Fantastic writing, great character development, so unbelievably tense. Honestly, just fantastic 👏

I always enjoy Lisa Jewell’s books so when I saw that she has a new one due for release in July I jumped at the chance to request a copy from NetGalley.
When you reach for this book you can expect something a little different. This book does not jump around quite as much as the author’s normal books and there is not a strong male character. This story is all about the girls, and oh boy what a story. You will find yourself racing through this book while not wanting to put it down.
Lisa Jewell brings a brilliant twisty story to life in this book. You are introduced to a new Netflix series and the podcaster who was behind this series. I am not a fan of podcasts or reality shows, but this book brings a completely new approach to both. I loved it.
Alix Summers is a successful podcaster who walks into her local pub to celebrate her forty-fifth birthday with her family and friends. While there, she meets a woman – Josie Fair – who is also celebrating her forty-fifth birthday. A coincidence, maybe.
When Josie approaches Alix outside her kids’ school with a request to meet to discuss something important, Alix is reluctant, but also curious. She agrees to meet with Josie. The meeting leads to Alix starting a new podcast with Josie the star of the show. However, very soon Josie has wormed her way into Alix’s life and Alix is left realising that she might have made a very big mistake by bringing Josie into her life, even if she is her “birthday twin”.
This book is a five-star read all the way. I could not get enough of this unusual story where you are never sure what is true and what is not.
The women in this book will leave you on the edge of your seat while you try to figure out the truth. This is a book that is guaranteed to leave your head spinning.
There is no question, this book has sailed onto my loved list for 2023 and left me loving this author even more. If you are looking for a gripping, unpredictable read that will leave your head spinning then this is the book for you. This book is Lisa Jewell at her best. If you are a fan, you will not want to miss this one. Be sure you add this one to your TBR. It’s a truly explosive read!

Another gripping read! Lisa Jewell never disappoints and two days on I’m still not 100% sure whose truth to believe! Is Josie misunderstood or a victim? You have to read it and decide for yourself. It would be amazing if this was an actually on Netflix!
The easiest of 5⭐️!!!

Well, I really don’t know where to start with this book. I had read some of Lisa Jewell’s earlier books but never any of her psychological thrillers - now I want to go to her back catalogue and read everything! None of this is True is the most gripping read and really takes you on a rollercoaster journey.

We are introduced to Josie Fair and Alix Summers on the night they both celebrate their 45th birthday is in the same gastropub, strangers whose lives are about to become inextricably linked.

When Josie introduces herself to Alix with the fateful words “Hello, I’m your birthday twin”, it sets forth a chain of events that Alix could never have anticipated. She is a successful podcaster living in a gorgeous home with her young children and slightly errant husband Nathan. When Josie offers herself as a subject, she can’t help but be intrigued. But soon, Josie is infiltrating the lives of the Summer family, and we begin to see that there is something very dark going on underneath the surface. You slowly realise not all is quite right in Josie‘s world – from the story of how she met her much older husband, as a teenager, to her reclusive, teenage daughter, who stays in her room gaming all day.

I loved the way Jewell slowly draws back the curtains and allows us to become immersed in this story as it gets murkier and murkier. It’s all drip-fed - in one instance, through what Alix and Nathan see on the Ring doorbell camera. Are they being paranoid? Or should Alix carry on in pursuit of her scoop?

The structure of this novel is really unique , with snippets from Josie and Alix’s podcast – and the Netflix series that follows – interspersed with the story. While this might sound unusual it really works, and ramps up the tension as you just know something bad is going to happen – but you don’t know what, or when. I had to stay up till the early hours to finish this one, hence the shot of my Kindle on my duvet! The characters really stay with you, and I also found the ending surprisingly moving. Thank you to @netgalley for the advance copy of this book, and to @lisajewelluk for writing such a stunner.

Omg! That twist! This story is about two “birthday twins” who’s lives start to get intertwined far more than they expected. So good

Lisa Jewell is phenomenal. What a mad ride this brilliant thriller is - time and again the reader thinks they know where it’s heading and then Ms Jewell pulls the rug out from under your feet and off we go again. Literally couldn’t put it down. Amazing.

Many thanks to all concerned for letting me read and review this fabulous thriller.

I really didn’t think she could get any better, but this might just be the best Lisa Jewell book yet.
I loved everything about this book and it’s definitely my favourite read this year.
It’s deliciously addictive, dark and unique. The story and characters are both incredibly intriguing.
It’s a big fat 5 star read and one that I’d strongly recommend.

This was an absolutely addictive read, creepy and compelling with some brilliantly drawn characters. I stayed up late to finish it- the highest praise. If I was to be very picky, there are probably some plotholes in the denouement but it really didn't matter. A great read and thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley for the opportunity to access an arc.
