April is smart, witty and funny, and a hard worker. She wants to make a difference in the world by having people care about the environment and taking action themselves.

Good and evil, big business pharmaceuticals and environmentalists, and even family relationships are all sub-plots in an excellent story taking place in the Amazon region. Main characters April and Ian form a great team as they fight for their own lives in their battle to protect the environment.
