The Lawgiver's Firebrand by T.M. Smith is a thrilling and steamy paranormal romance novel that will leave readers breathless. The book follows Lawgiver Daire, an arrogant incubus who enjoys the finer things in life, and Arianna, a witch and Firebrand warrior who is less refined but fierce. When Daire needs a bodyguard for a gala, he hires Ari, and the two quickly find themselves embroiled in a dangerous game of cat and mouse.

As the story unfolds, the mismatched duo must dodge attacks and pursue their attraction to each other while trying to uncover who is behind the fire at the gala and who is targeting them. Smith does an excellent job of creating a compelling and intricate plot that keeps readers engaged and invested in the characters and their journey.

The chemistry between Daire and Ari is electric, and the steamy scenes between them are sure to leave readers wanting more. Despite their differences, the two characters are well-developed and relatable, and readers will find themselves rooting for their love story.

Overall, The Lawgiver's Firebrand is an excellent read for fans of paranormal romance novels. The story is full of action, suspense, and steamy romance, and Smith's writing is engaging and well-crafted. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a thrilling and entertaining read.

The Lawgiver's Firebrand is the first book in TM Smith's newest series, The Blood Coven World and is a spin off from The Blood Coven series. It's a super spicy novella! Quick and fun read!

I haven't read anything else by this author and I think maybe I would have enjoyed this more if I had. There was very little context to the story and it felt rushed. I also didn't particularly like either of the main characters.

It's a very smutty little novella, but unfortunately the smut didn't do much for me. There was very little connection between the MCs, which I can honestly be okay with in a novella if the spice is good, but it just felt lacking in both areas for me. I kept waiting for interesting incubus sex but it really didn't seem to make much difference. Why bother make one of the characters an incubus if it's not going to come into play? Maybe I've just been reading too much monster smut lately and I've gotten used to all sorts of interesting and unusual spicy scenes.

Not a winner for me unfortunately but could be worth checking out if you're a fan of the series!

A lawgiver has unexpected feelings towards a firebrand.

I really struggled to get through this one. There was a lot of repetitive information that slowed down the story for me. There is an immediate attraction between Daire and Arianna that neither one wants to admit, and their feelings are never really explored which was a downside for me.

The other thing that bothered me was the Idea that her cousin would want to kill her just because she became a firebrander and he had some silly idea there could only be one per family. It just felt like it was put in there to create tension but for me it didn’t really do that. I just really struggled to get through this book.

Not something I usually read so can't compare with other books in this genre. Maybe too short? no real depth to the story so not really for me.

This was my first book from this author and unfortunately I found myself quite a bit lost with what was going on. I couldn't really connect with the characters because of that.

Thank you to Netgalley and BooksGoSocial for an arc of this. I unfortunately didn't enjoy this. I found the fmc to be grating and the mmc to be demanding. It felt less like a story about them falling in love(which was only a passing paragraph at the end)and more about the bedroom activities.

While there was a story to follow, this is a novella, so it is very quick and less detailed than a novel. Would have liked a bit more story and less sex, but that is just my preference. Still though, an interesting world of warrior/bodyguard Ari, and lawgiver Daire. Would recommend if you want a quick and easy read.

It was a nice and short spinoff of another series. Though the spice was nice, the dialogue wasn’t my favorite and ending felt rushed. I think if I had read the original series this came from then I would have had context to the world building.

This book, novella, short story was a quick easy read. It is spicy. The story was not that interesting to me. But if you like demons, mythological creatures, magic, strong female leads, arrogant billionaire tropes this would be a great read for you.
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book. I was given the book but was under no obligation to leave a review. All opinions are my own.

Having never read anything from this author before, this was a perfect introduction. I really liked the two main characters; though very different from one another, they both had insane chemistry and I enjoyed this developing over the course of the story. I also thought the world building was great considering it was a short story. Overall, this was an equally exciting, interesting and steamy read for me.

I really like the world building and the different types of characters! While I like the two main characters their chemistry feels a little flat. While there is physical attraction and emotional chemistry described, it doesn’t quite pop off the page (part of this feels like a pacing issue as well as the characters kind of existing in isolation). Overall, this wasn’t a bad read but I don’t feel this most compelled to continue the series.
