FINISHED: this is a cute story about a young girls first sleepover experience and all the worries and questions that come with it! But when someone needs her help, she helps them and realises she doesn’t have as much to be worried about - because they’re fun! Gorgeously illustrated too!

Destiny Ink is very excited! She is going to best friend Olivia's house, very soon, for a sleepover, which will be so much fun!  She's also a little bit scared, well, quite a bit scared actually, especially because they will be camping in Olivia's garden! In her own room that night Destiny tries to cheer herself up by doing her favourite thing, drawing and doodling in her special sketchbook. What happens next amazes her and, as she explores everything with a new friend, her fears begin to dissipate. By morning Destiny is no longer scared and can't wait for her sleepover to start.

This is a lovely book about one of those right of passage activities almost all children want to experience. Destiny is beautifully drawn in both words and pictures with a lovely feel good storyline and equally relatable illustrations. There is a chance to learn how to draw Destiny at the end of the book and I so wanted to colour in the pictures throughout!

I was able to read an advanced copy of this book thanks to NetGalley and the publishers, Nosy Crow, but the opinions expressed are my own. With a recommended reading age of 5 - 8 years this is a lovely book to either read aloud or snuggle up in bed with. Highly recommended.
