Goodbye Again is a moving and beautifully written story about love, loss, and the power of second chances. Caitlin Moss delves deeply into the complexities of relationships and grief, creating characters who feel real and profoundly human.
The emotional journey is raw and heartfelt, with moments of both heartbreak and hope that resonate long after the last page. The romance is tender and nuanced, unfolding at a thoughtful pace that allows the characters’ growth to shine.
This novel is perfect for readers looking for a poignant, character-driven story that explores how we heal and find love again after life’s hardest goodbyes.

Thank you NetGalley for the ebook arc. I love supporting indie authors and I feel bad that this review. A well written romance book were he falls first. Thank you for the opportunity of receiving this book

I didn't like this book. The mmc was especially dislikable and the i kind of just pity the fmc. In the end I didn't like the character or their "relationship." The way they interact is odd and try-hardish.

Goodbye Again was a very emotional read. I'll admit- it had a slow start. I didn't think I'd really get into JP and Julia's love story. JP seemed like such a marshmallow when Julia got sick....then he kind of turned into a douche canoe. I know, I know, people will argue that it was right person, wrong time....but you don't propose to someone else if you believe you're meant to be with someone else. And you surely don't flirt with that other person when you're engaged to someone else.
The middle got intense. That's when I got hooked and couldn't put the book down. The ending redeemed itself. Mostly. Give this a shot and put your morals aside as you follow Julia and JP's invisible string over 5 intense years.

I got approved the ARC on NetGalley but didn’t get to read it before release because life was life’n! I’m so glad I finally picked it up. 5 stars from me.
I love finding indie authors especially if they are local to me. This was the first book I read by Caitlin Moss and it won’t be the last. I enjoyed the age of the main characters, the authentic family dynamics and the raw depiction of right person wrong time.

He falls first is one of my favorite tropes!! This author did a wonderful job with this character in my opinion. I highly recommend!

Oh I’m a sucker for he falls first trope, I love me a man that is super down bad!! As a swiftie I loved the concept of invisible string, I thought it was done well and I really enjoyed it!

I knew this book was going to hit me in the feels just from the description, but wow—it was so much more than I expected. It’s a story full of love, loss, laughter, heartbreak, and the kind of support only true friends and family can give. Julia and JP had this undeniable connection from the very beginning, and even with all the time they spent apart, that “what if” never really went away. Their journey was messy, emotional, and so real. I didn’t cry, but my heart definitely ached for them. I’m really glad I finally picked this one up—it was such a beautiful read.
Thank you to NetGalley and Caitlin Moss for the free advanced copy. I’m leaving this review voluntarily.

I loved the concept of this book where two individuals consistently meet up and even through they love each other they walk away due to their circumstances in life. I loved that it was the man that fell hard fast and then we have to wait for the female main character to fall. This is something which I have not seen before and it has become a very good trope for me. I love the writing style as this was easy to read and get lost into the story which is great for a summer read.

I am a huge fan of Caitlin's books, but unfortunately this one missed the mark for me. I liked the concept of right people, wrong time. However, I became exhausted with the couple's habitual goodbyes and breakups. It felt like it was Groundhog's Day. There were pieces I liked, including the "dream" chapters featuring the Gramma (and the interesting twist at the end). I also thought the heavier themes of cancer and grief were handled with care. Overall, not the book for me.

A touching story about love, loss, and healing. Perfect for readers who enjoy emotional, heartfelt novels.

Goodbye Again by Caitlin Moss really got me in the feels. It’s about Julia and JP, who keep crossing paths over five years, and you just can’t help but root for them the whole time. The “invisible string” idea was super sweet, and I loved how fate kept pulling them back together. It made me laugh, cry, and totally believe in second (or ninth) chances. A bit dramatic at times, but I was hooked! I recommend it! *

A beautiful look at when the timing makes all the difference. How sometimes your person has to be in your life for a long time before they can truly become your person. Lovely characters and the wit between them is wonderful.

Moss never mosses the beat. Loved this. Made me laugh, made me cry. Two people meet on a plane, bad timing of missed opportunities, magical granny. Just loved it all!

Caitlin Moss has a way of crafting characters that feel undeniably real—flawed, complex, and deeply human. Goodbye Again isn’t a story about waiting for a happy ending; it’s about life unfolding in all its messy, beautiful unpredictability.
From the moment Julia meets JP Chapman on a cross-country flight I was pulled into their connection - it was so effortless. But love isn’t always straightforward and over the span of five years, life, careers, and missed opportunities pull them apart, while an invisible string keeps drawing them back together. Julia’s late grandmother, visiting her in dreams, offers wisdom that just might lead her to the truth.
Moss weaves a story that leaves readers emotionally invested—rooting for Julia and JP, frustrated by their choices, and captivated by the journey. With a balance of wit, heartache, and serendipity, Goodbye Again is a reminder that love doesn’t always follow a straight path, but the right person is always worth finding again.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Julia and JP. They meet on an airplane going to Seattle. She is going to a baby reveal of her sister’s and he’s going to a college roommate’s baby reveal, the same one. They spend a weekend together. They decide to be together, it lasted six months. They continue to meet up but something pulls them apart. It goes on for five years. Finally they meet up on a plane, decide they are not going to let anything come between them and their love.

Goodbye Again

“Being with JP was like being vividly conscious of each heartbeat of falling in love.”

This is the type of book that I don’t think you can properly review!! You just have to read it. You have to experience it for yourself. I thought oh this sounds like a cute book….CUTE? No honey, it’ll destroy you Caitlin said 🥹 This book is such a rollercoaster and I never wanted to get off. It’s heartbreaking, I had love butterflies, and anxiety butterflies, it had me smiling and kicking my feet, but also felt like a I would never be the same once I finished 😂 Like did the last 100 pages change my brain chemistry? Yup. I’m so sad it took me so long to read this one, don’t make the same mistake I did!! I loved it after the first chapter and predicted a five star read after the fourth.

“I want the very best for you. And I hope when you think of me it’s all good things.”
I smirk “And I hope I haunt you.”
“You already do.”

It is single POV and I would give up coffee for dual POV, but it did work here. We do get some spice, but it wasn’t overly descriptive, but enough in my option! I think this one could work for the no spice readers (or can at least be quickly passed when reading). The only thing I wish we got was like a bonus epilogue chapter, just more time with them at the end!! Also, if you were a fan of One Day In December definitely pick this one up! I’ll be thinking about it for forever and ever. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I received this book as an arc, but unfortunately didn’t get to it until now, but lucky you it’s out now so go get it! Thank you @netgalley @caitlinmossauthor !

I’d like to thank Netgalley and Caitlin Moss for this ARC! A feel good romance that was beautifully written and I devoured so quickly. Loved everything about this book.

This was such a surprise, but in the best way! I don’t usually read right-person-wrong-time romances, but I absolutely loved this one. I was rooting for the characters the whole time and felt devastated whenever the timing wasn’t in their favor. Their development was so well done, and the side characters were incredibly lovable. I even teared up multiple times!

What can I say about this book, but this was an emotional rollercoaster.
When I started this book I didn’t know if I’d like it, but I enjoyed it so much more than I thought.
I have felt right person, wrong time before and it cuts deep. But I don’t think I’ve read a book with this trope before so that was something new.
What amazing characters, Julia and JP had the best chemistry I’ve ever seen and their story has to be one of my new favourites.
Thank you NetGalley, publishers and the author Caitlin Moss, for sending me advanced readers copy of this book. I highly suggest to everyone that they should read this book.
